“Lauren was awesome with my dog Jewelz. She took a lot of time during the meet and greet gathering information and getting to know both of us. I’m a very particular dog mom but felt very comfortable leaving Jewelz with Lauren. I would highly recommend her.”
“Megan always takes excellent care of our kitty who has asthma and requires daily meds. Also this time she had to deal with a snow storm, and went above and beyond, even shoveling our front walkway for us. Many thanks, Megan!”

About: I've taken care of multiple types of animals over the years! Dogs, cats, birds, bugs, reptiles, rodents, amphibians and fish! Much of my experience comes from working at PetSmart and owning most of these animals myself! I have 2 Rottweiler/Husky mixes, 2 cats, a cornsnake, 5 birds (Sun Conure, Green Cheek Conure, Cockatiel, and 2 Budgies!), 3 axolotls, one tank of Koi and Goldfish, and another tank of tropical fish! I currently work part-time at PetSmart as a pet caretaker! I have Thursdays off, but my work schedule doesn't normally get in the way. I always wait for an animal to greet me first to avoid stressing the pet out. I normally have calming chews and treats on me to try to encourage the animal that I am not a threat.

About: I have owned dogs all my life and have cared for dogs of all different temperaments and sizes. Any time spent with a pup is time well spent in my eyes! I have the rest of the summer off, so I have plenty of time to spend with your animals! I am available when and where you need me:) My own dog is very reactive with other dogs due to past trauma, so unfortunately my home is unavailable. However, I am open to any sized house/yard, and would be more than happy to take your pup on a ride to the nearest dog park or walking path!
“We had a wonderful experience with this Hailey! This was our first time using Rover to book a cat sitter, and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. She was incredibly attentive, kind, and clearly cares deeply about animals. Her communication was excellent throughout, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We will absolutely be booking with her again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Heather went above and beyond caring for our three dogs during their very first experience with a dog sitter, and we truly could not have asked for a better person to trust with them. Leaving our dogs for the first time was understandably anxiety-provoking, but Heather immediately put us at ease with her kindness, patience, communication, and obvious love for animals. She took exceptional care of all three dogs, paying attention to their individual needs and making sure they felt comfortable and cared for. Heather kept us updated, which gave us so much peace of mind, and it was clear our dogs were happy and well-loved while we were away. We are incredibly grateful for the care and attention she provided and would absolutely recommend Heather to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and dependable dog sitter. She truly exceeded our expectations, and we would happily book with her again!”

“Alexsys did an amazing job with my dog. She cared for her like she was her own and sent me plenty of updates. My dog was happy and well loved while we were out of town. Will definitely be booking with her in the future!”

“Maggie went above and beyond with our puppy! She took him on the longest of walks and really made sure he had a good time. Also she provided a bunch of really great pictures. We would definitely hire Maggie again!”

“Kristina has looked over my pups a few times now. She is wonderful with them. I love all the photos she takes. There’s always one photo with one of them making a weird face. lol. My dogs are a handful too. I’d recommend her to anyone in the area. She’s great! Thank you again!”

About: I've had dogs since I was 10. I've trained them, bathed them, walked them and loved them. I will play with your pup or snuggle on the couch with them, whichever they choose! I work part-time & my job has flexible hours. I can do afternoon or evening visits, any day of the week, with advanced notice. I can do sleepovers with your pets as well! I will always be extra diligent and careful with your pet! I understand how pets are family! I will always follow your instructions to the T!
“I can’t say enough good things about Cynthia, she is absolutely amazing. She took great care of my cats and fish including one cat who requires insulin. She went above and beyond again when I asked to extend my trip, then continued to help after I got sick and had to delay it again.”

“When we moved to the area, we needed to find a new dogsitter to let my darling fur babies out on days I have to work. Tiersa has been wonderful, lovely to work with and she takes such good care of my pups!”

About: I have had animals all my life. Currently I have a 9 year old Jack Russel/Corgi mix and a 2 year old tuxedo cat. I started taking care of animals outside of my own home in my early teenage years. I've taken care of wide variety of animals including dogs of all ages as well as dogs with specific medical needs. I have also taken care of a variety of other animals such as cats, horses, donkeys and chickens. I'm currently employed during the mornings but I am available in the evenings and nights as well as all day Sunday to care for your fur babies! I am able to follow any schedule you might have in place such as bathroom breaks, meal times and medication. Whether your pet prefers cuddles or play time, i will be sure to provide them with lots of attention and love while caring for them.
About: If your pet could choose their own vacation, I’d love to think they’d choose my home. Animals have been my whole life. I’ve shared my life with dogs for as long as I can remember, and caring for animals has always been a part of who I am. Every wagging tail, happy zoomie, belly rub, cuddle on the couch, game of fetch, and quiet nap together is my favorite part of the day. Some people enjoy quiet houses. I love hearing paws on the floor. Your pet won’t be treated like a customer. They’ll be treated like someone I genuinely adore. I work from home, so I’m able to give dogs the time, attention, and companionship they deserve. My home sits on five peaceful acres with a large, securely fenced yard where they can safely run, explore, play, and simply enjoy being dogs, all under my supervision. I’ve also spent the past several years hosting Airbnb guests and caring for many of their pets, giving me experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, personalities, and energy levels. When your pet is with me, my goal is simple. I want them to feel safe, happy, loved, and excited to come back. I can't wait to welcome your best friend into my home. I work for myself, I have a very flexible schedule and can adjust my time to meet your pet’s needs. This allows me to be available, reliable, and fully present for your pet. Whether it’s daily visits or extra attention while you’re away, I’ll make sure they are cared for, comfortable, and never feel alone. I treat every pet like my own, with safety and comfort always coming first. I live on a private five-acre property with a large, securely fenced-in yard where dogs can safely play and enjoy plenty of space. Inside, pets have a calm, clean environment with cozy spots to relax, along with toys and attention. I always supervise outdoor time and make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and truly cared for.
“Leslie was the absolute best. Not only did she adjust her schedule and work with short notice, her knowledge and care of my dogs breeds made it so each individual dogs needs were met. Would recommend Leslie to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and knowledgeable person to love on your furry friends.”

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
