Adina is great with communication and her reports on from the visits always give me peace of mind! She is very patient with my older dog and spends extra time with him if he doesn’t want to walk far!

Makayla responded within minutes of us requesting a last minute walker for Archer. She communicated clearly and then showed up right on time. She gave me a couple of updates during the walk and then a clear summary as to how she left. We definitely recommend her and will be happy to request Makayla again soon!

Nicola is absolutely amazing! We couldn’t ask for a better person to care for Rocky while we’re away. She is always reliable, on time, and goes above and beyond to make sure he’s well cared for. She doesn’t just walk him—she spends time playing with him, makes sure he’s fed, comfortable, and happy, and treats him like one of her own. Knowing Rocky is in Nicola’s care gives us complete peace of mind. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine love for animals shine through in everything she does. We highly recommend Nicola to anyone looking for exceptional pet care!

About: I have had pets all my life and have cared for every shape, size and personality there is to come by whether that’s other people’s pets or my own. I can crate easily and have dealt with administering medications in elderly pets many times. I trim nails with no issue and I enjoy long walks or play time. I work part time in Collegeville, babysit on the side, and attend school in Pennsburg, so I don’t mind a little bit of a drive. I have no problem whatsoever stopping over to take care of your pet during a lunch break if ever necessary. I always leave room for during the day for bookings during the week, usually leaving me working at night, except for weekends. I always treat other peoples children or pets as I would my own, as a priority. I babysit very often and usually that includes pet care. I have watched dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and geckos. Safety means that while taking care of them both of us remain comfortable and relaxed in the presence of eachother. Also that they stay supervised even with their freedom.

About: Animals have always been a piece of my heart. I love every single breed of dogs. I’m always the one someone calls when they need a pet sitter. I care for the animals like no other. I have worked in the doggy daycare/ boarding industry for 2 years, I am a farm girl at heart. I have owned many animals including horses, goats, pigs, chickens, turkeys, & roosters! Right now I am unemployed since I had a cross country move. I am available all day everyday to sit with your pup, play, walk, whatever you would need me to do! I have my own Golden Retriever and Siberian Husky that loves to play. You will always catch my golden and I at the dog park. We love to play fetch!

I have experience with disabled, elderly, obese, and energetic animals of a variety of breeds. I can medicate and monitor your pets if need be with instructions provided. I will also play with and send update pictures of your furry friends so you can be sure of their care. I'm a full time student so I can check in anytime after 11am on most days. I do have class on Tuesday and Thursday so I can only check in after 2pm those days but I can check in later to balance it out. Kat was great with her initial dog walk with my pup, Riley! She was very open to an initial meet and greet too- which is very important for our furbabies. She was also extremely flexible when my schedule changed at nearly the last minute and was able to accommodate with limited notice. Kat is also great at following all directions and instructions leaving peace of mind and comfortability. Will definitely use her again! 🐶

About: My family has always been an animal house; I have 3 dogs, a cat and a bird! I also have been housesitting and petsitting dogs and cats for my neighbors since I was 12-13. Additionally, I’ve volunteered at my local animal shelter (Main Line Animal Rescue) by going through dog walk orientation and worked with all sorts of dogs. I am excited to help others out and watch over their pets using my experience! I’m home for the summer from college, so I have plenty of free time! I am available for dog walking, housesitting, or overnight sitting during days of the week and also weekends. I make sure to always pay attention to each pet and see what they need according to what the owner needs (food, water, bathroom time, playtime, walks) and make sure to keep an eye on them, as well as adjusting to what they prefer - whether it be a lot of pets or just some company! I am experienced with walking a lot of different dogs and will give them plenty of love and attention.

About: Pets aren’t just a part of my life—they are my life's baseline. For over 40 years, my golden rule has been that a house is not a home unless there are exactly two dogs walking around in it. Having a dual-dog household for four decades means I’m a master at managing different personalities, refereeing playful tiffs, and ensuring there is always enough love (and treats) to go around. If you are looking for a sitter who treats your furry family member like absolute royalty, you’ve found your match!, Reliable, dependable and flexible. For house sitting services I provide overnight care in your home and maintain your pet's normal routine. I may leave throughout the day to go to work to run errands, family time etc. I always ensure your pet receives the care attention, meals, potty breaks exercise and all the snuggles they may need throughout the day. If your pet requires a constant care schedule, please discuss those needs prior to booking. I work full time during the week. When we are away we do not want them to be stressed. I can walk, feed, play time. I can take care overnight in your home for some week nights and weekends when my schedule allows. I am a professional who has worked in the same company for 25 years. Just looking to help out furparents.

About: Caring for animals has been a passion of mine my whole life. I started to professionally care for pets when I started highschool in 2014, and have continued since. Not only have I watched pets but I have a plethora of references from nannying to house management as well. Because of this experience, I ensure you I will strive my best to be a conscientious guest in your space with your pet! I have just accepted a position at Spring Ford High school so I am available all day on weekends, and after 3pm on week days! I follow direct orders and routine. I prefer having a list and straight forward direction on how to adequately provide the best care possible for each pet. If it’s a two pet household I prefer information on both pets, even if they coexist, they are two different animals.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Bucktown. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Bucktown.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bucktown. On Rover:

  • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
