“I am a travel nurse and was in Winston-Salem from mid October thru mid January and Natalie and her daughter watched my chihuahua Lilah on my workdays. Lilah loved her daycare days and loved to play with her daughter and her dogs Raegan and Kennedy. She knew when I pulled into their driveway and would start wagging her tail and trembling a little with excitement. On her last day, when I rang the doorbell to drop her off, Lilah was even scratching their door to get inside faster lol. I was happy Lilah had a place to stay and to play and definitely recommend Natalie (and her daughter) for all your dogsitting needs! Lilah always came home tired from playing and went straight to bed and slept all night :)”

About: Every dog that stays with us quickly feels like a sort of our family. We have had dogs our whole life. We can take your dogs on up to a 3 mile walk a day as requested. We love animals and have been dog sitting for years. Please stick to and communicate clearly with drop off and pick up times so I can schedule my daughters naps/mealtimes etc. I am a stay at home mom who just takes care of the babies and pets. My job is to make the day fun and take care of everyone. I have two friendly dogs that are large but love to play with other puppies. I have two children who are very used to being around animals.

She sent me photos and updated me the whole time about how she was doing which made me feel so at ease being that this was only the 2nd time I have left Honey with anyone but family. About: I have spent my whole life around dogs. From a young child to current day, I've always had a pet in my life. I have cared for outdoor dogs, indoor dogs, fish, and snakes. I've also cared for and been around most ages of dogs from 8 week puppies to elderly companions. I love spending time outdoors with them, sunshine, snow, pools, treks, mud, or wherever. My two kids are in school so I'll have plenty of time for your pet. My kids are comfortable around pets so even after school, I'm still available for care. I'm also available to board any day or night of the week. I'm close to parks and Pilot Mountain trails. I have plenty of backyard space for you pet to run and even a ramp entrance for pets with mobile difficulties. I have a backyard space for healthy walking/running. I have plenty of toys to keep your pet active and cushions for relaxing. I have a crate available if needed. I also have a dog of my own to keep your pet company. My dog is allowed on all the furniture in the house and yours is welcome to join in for cuddles.

“My dog's stay with Vicki FAR Exceeded my expectations. My dog has terrible separation anxiety and has not done well in the past when I've left him with someone besides doggy day care. Vicki knew I was nervous about how the dog would do. We spent a while talking about his personality and how he would be most comfortable. A while after I left, she sent a text and photo of how well he was doing. I was so relieved!!! When I returned to her home and pulled in the driveway, I was so happy to see my dog relaxing with her, contentedly listening to some relaxing music for dogs. He was so chill. I would definitely recommend her to others. She has no other pets or kids and really goes the extra mile to make sure your pet is comfortable.”

About: I’ve been an animal lover my whole life, from hermit crabs to horses. The last 15 years I’ve gone from volunteering with animals to now rescuing and owning 2 dogs and 2 cats of my own. I’m a resident physician but I’m currently on a research year so my schedule is pretty flexible for home visits or walks- but also for boarding given that I have a very animal friendly environment in my own home. I have a three bedroom, split level house with a large backyard and access to a huge field on the other side of my yard for things like fetch and walks. I have 2 energized and social dogs in my own home who are very friendly, love cuddling and playing fetch. I also have 2 cats who do well around my dogs, one younger one that plays along with them and one older one who is still social but keeps more of a distance from play time.

About: I’ve been a vet tech for about 5 years. Before that, I managed a pet boarding facility. I grew up on a farm, so I’ve been caring for dogs and cats all my life. Im a toddler mom, and I currently work as an emergency vet tech so I’m great at keeping calm in stressful situations. I’m a stay-at-home mom during the week, and then I work on Saturdays, so I’m pretty flexible with my schedule! I will have to bring my toddler with me to any visits on a weekday if it’s before 4 pm. When I’m caring for a pet, I always play with them and make sure they get quality interaction with me. I also check over their physical appearance to make sure they’re healthy and safe. As a vet tech, I’m very concerned with pets’ health and wellbeing.

I follow specific feeding and walking schedules, ensure fresh water is always available, and spend quality time playing and bonding with them. I’m extra mindful to keep your home tidy, respect your space, and treat it with the same care I would my own. In either setting, my goal is to make sure each pet feels comfortable, happy, and well-loved while their family is away.
