“Emily is the best! She is so sweet with our animals and takes the best care of them when we are out of town. We are so happy we found her and will continue to use her for our pet care ❤️”

“Maria is the best! I had her watch my cats for a few days while I was away and I needed to add another day last minute and Maria was more than willing to check on them for me. She truly goes above and beyond and if she’s available, I will only use her from now on! Highly recommend her!”
“Even my super shy cat, who runs from his own shadow, came out to befriend Jasmine during visits. She’s awesome. Tell your momma, the neighbor, the mailman to all use her for their pet needs as well.”

“Natalie was absolutely amazing. We were gone for nearly 2 weeks with a 6 hour time difference and we didn’t worry one time with her taking care of our boy. He’s needy with some health issues and she handled him so well. You can tell she truly loves animals. Her updates were fantastic, detailed, and enjoyable. She was responsive, transparent, went the extra mile & some. We plan to use her for all of our trips. There’s nothing better than not having to worry and knowing your pet is truly being loved on while you’re gone. Now, I have to leave this glowing review bc it’s absolutely true, but I’m hopeful she doesn’t get too busy to watch our son lol.”
“Hillary was a God send!! So flexible and easy going and really bonded with my stressed out doggie as we hadn't really left him before. She was also flexible with me adding and subtracting walks due to my ineptitude with the app. Hillary went out of her way to make our dog and us comfortable. We will absolutely book her again! She's awesome!”

“Love the experience I had with Tiffany and Thomas! They were extremely professional and great with my dogs! I would highly recommend them and I look forward to using them again!”

“Erin was wonderful dropping in on our Winston. She was punctual for her visits and was very attentive to Winston while she was here. She responded very quickly to communications and was a pleasure to work with. I'd definitely reach out to her in the future and would highly recommend.”

“Alexis did great with my pups, especially one that requires meds and special food. The boys enjoy being able to stay home versus a kennel and I will def use Alexis again in the future.”
“Stasha took great care of my cat. Due to unforeseen circumstances I could only give very short notice, but even so, Stasha stepped right in for me and gave me peace of mind. 5/5 would recommend!”

“Meghan and Chad are the BEST!! They made me feel so at ease knowing that my Maggie was being cared for by such responsible & loving dog people. I appreciated the pics and their thoughtful comments for each visit!!”

“Nicole took great care of my cat while I was out of town! She gave me daily updates with pictures and updated me as she was on her way to my place each day. You can tell she is an animal lover and it makes all the difference in the awesome care she provides for your pet. I will definitely book with her again!”

About: I grew up on a family farm in Mamers, NC, where caring for animals has always been second nature. After moving back to the area from college, I now work from home, allowing me to provide attentive, personalized care and a flexible schedule for the pets I watch. Before leaving for college, I pet sat for local families through Facebook and built lasting relationships with many of my clients. For one family in particular, I provided in-home care and became their trusted “dog nanny” for over three years. From daily visits and walks to overnight stays and personalized routines, I understand how important consistency and trust are when caring for someone’s furry family member. I visit my family farm daily to help maintain the property, giving dogs in my care the opportunity for supervised outdoor time, exercise, and plenty of enrichment. Whether your pet enjoys adventures or prefers cuddles and quiet time, I’ll treat them with the same love and attention I give my own. 🤍🐾🌾 Pet care is seamlessly built into my daily routine. I work from home, which gives me the flexibility to provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of one-on-one attention throughout the day. I also visit my family farm daily, so dogs in my care can enjoy supervised outdoor time and extra exercise. Because I’m home most of the day, pets are rarely left alone and are treated like part of the family, with lots of love, structure, and companionship. Safety, trust, and a comfortable environment are my top priorities. I live in a pet-friendly condo community with access to a dog park, where I often take my own Doberman for supervised play and exercise. I enjoy starting the day with morning walks and make sure pets have plenty of opportunities for potty breaks, enrichment, and attention throughout the day. I follow each pet’s routine closely and always prioritize their safety, whether that means leashed walks, supervised outdoor time at my family farm, or a cozy, calm environment indoors. My goal is to make every pet feel loved, secure, and right at home while their family is away.
About: I’ve had dogs since I was 12! I’m currently a Kennel Attendant working with lots of animals and taking care of them! I love any animals and treat them with love, care, and respect at all times. I can also administer medication. I am 18! Im currently working as a part time Kennel attendant for dogs! I have dogs at home, and I love caring for them and loving on them! Caring for animals in my clients home will come with lots of love, rule and routine following, let outs, feeding times, respect and care of animals and the home!
About: Hello! My name is Nicole and I have one pup of my own. Her name is Kona and she’s a Labrador/English Pointer Mix. I enjoy spending time with dogs of all sizes and will tire them out with play and exercise! I have been around dogs and puppies my whole life and come from a large family so I'm comfortable around many people and furry friends! I look forward to being your sitter/walker! I work from home so I’m available to care for dogs all throughout the day. I have a crate at home if needed and a couple extra dog beds. We have land for dogs to roam, but also walk regularly. My dog is a great companion and loves playing with other dogs! We don’t have a fence so dogs with good recall will enjoy it here the most.
“Ernesto diid a wonderful job caring for my Husky! He is very professional and all my dogs took to him immediately! I highly recommend him and will definitely request his services again.”

“Emily was excellent for my boys! She went out of her way and certainly went above and beyond for them! I have an extremely shy dog who did really well with her, and they both seemed very happy throughout each visit and when we arrived home. The notes and images were great during each drop in visit/walk. I 100% recommend and would definitely book her again in the future!”

About: I had 3 family dogs growing up who were my best friends, there wasn’t a day that went by that we didn’t spend time together. When they became seniors, I gave them my full care and attention up until they passed. Caregiving still feels like it’s a part of me, and I just love the happiness and joy that dogs or any pets bring into this world! Having gone from full time care to having so much more time is a big shift for me, so I would greatly enjoy to continue to share the love and care I still have with your pets as well! I work part time and find myself having a lot of free time and I would love to be there with your pet! I will make sure to schedule feeding times or drop ins around my work hours, and on my off days I’m more than willing to spend lots of time with your pet! When caring for your pet I will make sure they feel comfortable and safe by following their usual routines, giving lots of love, and making sure their environment is clean and secure. I want to make your fur baby feel happy and well-cared for while you are away!
“Violet was a super prompt communicator and had no issues taking over on caring for our cat, Miso. She even traversed rough storm weather to check on her when we were out of the country. Would def book again!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
