“I thoroughly enjoyed working with Maggie. From The first message to the meet and greet and after a weeks worth of drop in visits, I can say Maggie is great at communicating and made me feel very comfortable leaving my dog sons in her hands. She gave me the peace of mind I needed to enjoy my time away, will be booking again!”

“Ashlyn was a great communicator and gave details with lots of pictures. Our babies were loved on and taken good care of! I would highly recommend her! We have Frenchies with some special needs, and she was very good with them. We will use her again.”

About: As mentioned, I work in vet med! I am experienced with all ages, temperaments, breeds, health issues, and needs! I love a couch potato but I also own and love a working breed. I understand the importance of routine & mental stimulation! I spoil my fur children & understand wanting to keep yours happy while you’re away, but also able to trust that they’re safe! I own a dog that is overcoming his reactivity & that has required a lot of training & positive reinforcement work from myself in the presence of triggers—so I understand the difference in reactivity/anxiety vs aggression. I work full time Fridays through Mondays currently, but I have full availability during the week on Tuesdays through Thursdays. I don’t mind early mornings or late nights I would never leave someone’s pet unattended while under my care. I like for pets to have my full attention when I’m there. It’s what I’d expect & would want for my own! I’m very familar with canine & feline body language, anxiety, & aggression, and I know how to appropriately and effectively approach/handle pets whether they’re scared, reactive, or excited!
“Melissa was wonderful! She paid attention to every detail and listened to me explain things a lot more than she should have. I definitely recommend her, she takes great care in what she does.”

“Laura was so sweet to my babies! She took lots of pictures and gave thorough reports. She spent time playing with them and throwing the ball. I appreciated her kindness.”

“Candy is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! She was the first sitter I’ve ever hired from Rover and she did not disappoint! She is truly wonderful, a great communicator, and super sweet!!”

“Mrs. Bonnie is super Great!!! She takes care of my fur baby while I’m away at work. She always keep me updated on everything that Stormi🐾 does during her stay. Thank you Mrs. Bonnie!”

About: I have pretty much taken in every stray my parents have allowed me too ever since I could remember. Growing up i’ve had a variety of dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, and chickens. My mother and I moved to Olive Branch in November and since then I’ve been volunteering at a horse ranch a couple of miles from me. I love being outdoors so if you babies need a walk, I am more than happy to oblige! I will say the only service I can not offer is, your babies staying with me. My own dog is reactive to other dogs, from past traumas. I just graduated High-school and will be working part time, so I have all the time needed for your babies! Also if any plants need to be taken care of I can do so as well. I am available for weekends, early morning, mid-day, and even over night if needed. At my house my animals are spoiled, so I will treat your babies the same. They will get a multitude of cuddles, and just leave any special instructions like meals or medication. (However I am not specialized in injections.)
About: I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life. For the first 18 years, it was a joint effort with the other members of the family, but as of 5 years ago, I have my own dog. She is a 5 year old lab husky, and her name is Ahsoka. I also have taken care of my wife’s childhood dog, Marshall, a 10 year old King Cocker Spaniel. He and Ahsoka live with my wife and I I am recently married to my beautiful wife, Faith! We live in Brandon and have one dog together, Marshall, a 10 year old King Cocker Spaniel. I am a bank teller so my availability is slightly limited. I can do evening walks or drop in visits during the week, but I have open availability on the weekend. I am a very loving pet owner and I use gentle parenting with my own dog. I will make sure to make any accommodations that you will need.

“Alex took excellent care of my big doodle, Annie! She was dependable, kept us updated, and made sure Annie was happy and well cared for during every visit. We really appreciated her and would definitely book with her again. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve had animals my whole life. Dogs, cats, cows, horses, and fish. My pets are treated like family. I have house trained dogs and can even teach a few tricks. My animals mostly stay inside. They are house trained but do go out to play often. They eat twice a day and sleep well at night. My pets are family members and I would treat anyone’s the same. I know how important they are to me and I would make sure they are comfortable and taken good care of. I even clean litter boxes.
“Celeste was AMAZING!! She took care of my babies the same way I do, so I did not bat an eye when I was out of town. I received multiple updates and photos every visit, and she was on time EVERY TIME!! I will be using Celeste all the time in the future!😁”

“Thomas did a wonderful job watching my spunky cat Remy while I was out of the country on vacation. He made sure to hang out with him for a bit each day and give him some much-needed attention, sent photos and updates daily, and even made sure my plants were watered. Can't wait to book him again.”

About: My goal is to love, protect & care for each of your babies in the environment in which they feel most comfortable- their own home. I have stayed busy with pet sitting on the side for 11 years now, which I consider a blessing. I understand how depressed pets can get when their owners are away. I can't stand to see their sad, little faces. So, I make certain each pet gets plenty of love and attention, just as a child would; because that's what they are! I love to care for animals! I consider it a privilege. As of right now, I'm available lunch/ afternoons and in the evenings during the week. And have even more time on the weekends, to love on & care for your babies. I promise to always provide an environment that's safe (this includes a large, temperature controlled "doggie" safe-from this heat/extreme temps-room, complete with a doggie door, that leads to a nice, large backyard, if ever I'm caring for them at my house) and filled with lots of love. I will take the very best care of each and every furry baby that is entrusted to me. And I will do my very best to honor any special requests you may have.

About: I have had dogs my whole life, grew up on a farm, rescued and cared for animals of all kinds. I am a traveling nurse, i take my dog everywhere. I am a travel nurse, i am gone 6 days and home 8 days. I’m available throughout everyday, i am home. I am available anytime morning or night. I can feed, give meds, take for walks, pretty much anything the animal needs or requires. I love caring for animals and this allows me to help others.

The absolute best! My Dottie absolutely loves her and her family! She took the best care of my girl and kept me updated all day. She also didn’t hesitate to reach out with questions about Dottie which I appreciated since Dottie is only 2 months old! I will definitely being using her again, she is amazing!

Very happy with this service. Made a last minute booking, during the holidays no less. I needed someone who could take care of my kitty with CHF and watch for breathing issues. Everything was fine, but I felt so much better knowing I had someone savvy checking on my sweet girl. Alexis even got her playing and took some super cute pics.

- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 82% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
