“Allison did a fantastic job taking care of my dog. She picked up the job even though it was last minute, which I appreciate. She communicated effectively and made sure to send lots of pictures and updates. Jody seemed to have a lot of fun, too! I would recommend anyone to book with Allison!!”

About: Hi! My name is Cassidy. I have been watching dogs for many years! I started in high school and now own my own dog, Mako! He is a rescue who I love dearly! I have watched all types of animals, from fish to horses! I am a senior at Slippery Rock University, and I run our Western Equestrian Team! I truly love animals and want to help others with theirs! I am a full-time student, but I have many open times where I am able to commit to watching your animals! I am done with classes every day by 11 am and have time available before that as well to make sure your pets are well taken care of! I own my own dog, Mako, whom I have time for each and every day to make sure he gets the best care! Each day, I ensure my dog gets the care he needs! He goes to the dog park every morning as well as walks daily when the weather cooperates! I make sure to add snuggle time as well, where he gets to sit with me while I complete any homework throughout the day!

I am a part-time barista, so I can fit any form of dog care into my schedule, and I also am a college student with lots of free time :) I love taking dogs on walks and playing around the yard of the house, depending on location and space available! About: I’ve been pet sitting and caring for dogs and cats for over 20 years, and I can genuinely say there are few things that make me happier than getting to know a new furry friend. I currently run my own pet-sitting business and have been incredibly lucky to build a wonderful little family of happy pets, repeat clients, and pet parents who trust me with their babies. I know every pet is their own little person! Some want to play fetch until your arm falls off, some want to be your shadow, some would happily spend the entire visit getting belly rubs, and others need a little extra patience and time before deciding you’re worthy of their friendship. I love learning all of those little quirks and keeping their normal routines as familiar and comfortable as possible while their people are away. I have experience with dogs and cats of different ages, sizes, personalities, and needs, including multi-pet households and routine oral and topical medications. And because I know how much you miss your babies when you’re apart, I’m a BIG believer in sending plenty of photos and updates along the way! Your pets won’t just be fed, walked, and checked on…they’ll get conversation, playtime, companionship, scratches, cuddles, and plenty of love. My goal is for you to be able to enjoy your trip or get through your workday knowing your pets are safe, comfortable, happy, and being genuinely cared for. Loving Your Pets Like They’re My Own isn’t just my slogan, it’s exactly what I try to do with every animal entrusted to me. 💕🐾 Pet sitting is already a regular part of my weekly routine, and I currently have a very flexible schedule that allows me to devote plenty of time to the pets in my care. I’m available weekdays, evenings, weekends, and overnight, and can often accommodate extended stays as well. Whether your pet needs a quick drop-in, some company during a long workday, or someone to stay with them while you’re away, I love being able to plan my schedule around their normal routine. When I’m caring for your babies, they’re never treated like something I need to “fit in.” Spending time with them is the best part of my day! 💕 I provide care in my clients’ homes because I believe pets are often happiest and most comfortable in their own familiar environment. I take the time to learn each pet’s normal routine, personality, feeding and potty schedule, favorite activities, medication needs, and any special instructions their family provides. I’m respectful of both your pets and your home, and their safety and comfort are always my priority. I never force interaction with a shy or nervous pet…I’m happy to give them the time and space they need to decide that we’re friends! While you’re away, I’ll provide plenty of companionship, playtime, conversation, scratches, cuddles, and love, along with lots of photos and updates so you can see how your babies are doing. 🐾💕

“Paige exceeded all of our expectations. My three large dogs were well taken care of, and when we arrived home, we figured we would have a mess to deal with because of the weather and muddy back yard, but Paige kept up with everything, again, above and beyond our expectations. Paige sent us updates daily, with pics of the dogs. These updates put us at ease that all was well back at home. Aside from all of this, we can tell that Paige is a genuinely good person that has a love for animals, treating ours as she would her own. If you are looking for a sitter, stop here and check her calendar, you wont regret it.”

“Tabatha was a blessing! I felt at ease while on vacation with Tabatha caring for our pets. From what I can tell she kept them on their toes and probably did a better job then I would do! I never expected so many pictures of them either playing, eating, or just being goofy. Would definitely recommend and hope she's available next time!”

About: I’ve had pets my whole life. I LOVE dogs! I’ve cared for puppies up to seniors for the past 20 years. I only take care of 1 family at a time for individual attention. I have trained many dogs just for the fun of it. I just moved back to my hometown of Meadville after 30 years in FL. This will be my full time job, so there will an abundant amount of love & time for me to give. This is my job. I’m not working anywhere else presently, so the pets get my undivided attention. My schedule is very open to accommodate you & your pets. I have a large home with a fenced in yard. I have room for crates if that is your preference. I also have historic livestock doors in my home which are perfect for the pets. I do not have any pets presently.

She gave him lots of attention and was always on-time with giving him his medication that he needs twice a day. She gave us peace of mind knowing that he was being very well cared for. We will definitely use Kristie for pet sitting again!”

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Branchton

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
