We did a meet and greet with Tayler before booking. After meeting, visiting, and being in her home, we knew it would be a great fit for our sweet Kelce. Our pups stay went great, Tayler sent pics of the dogs playing and gave occasional updates which was great. Will definitely book again for future stays!

Thank you so very, very much. Dorothy went beyond the call of duty in taking great care of my puppy and giving I'm plenty of exercise and fresh air. He slept most alleviating after picking him up! Ha!

Cheyenne saved my butt when she agreed last minute to take my Reese for an overnight while I was in town for work. I was nervous since I had never left her with someone I didn't know before. When I arrived Phillip (her boyfriend) told me he just vaccumed because they had read her bio where I said she was skiddish. I felt that it was very thoughtful for him to do that before I brought her over so she wouldn't be fearful of the loud noise. Cheyenne was extremely responsive and sent multiple photos. Reese was also able to have a playmate, Lexi (their dog). When I picked her up the next day she was HAPPY to see me and tired! I will definitely book with her again in the future.... Thank You Cheyenne and Phillip!

Peter was very professional, sent us pictures and took care of our dog. When we picked her up, she was a very happy dog to come back in our arms. He must’ve done something right, HAHA.

Madison was great with watching honeybee. I got constant updates which I loved since I am an overprotective dog mom. Bee came home very tired from her vacation which was great.

About: I've taken care of dogs, cats, birds, and all sorts of animals since I was a kid. Once I turned 16, I started housesitting and taking care of others' dogs and cats. In the last couple years I've moved out to a farm with my boyfriend where we take care of lots of different farm animals. There is cats and a dog that live in a different house on the property and all farm animals are fenced in. Your pets can interact or be kept very far away from the farm animals. Living on 200 acres, I have lots of space to accommodate to your needs. I am free everyday except Monday and Wednesday. I am searching for a new job but until then I can do anytime on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. All farm animals are kept in by fences, but we do not have any fenced in area for dogs. There is lots of yard and trails for leashed walks. If your pet comes when called, I can watch them while they explore the big back yard. Our home is a one bedroom and the cats and dog do not live with us. My boyfriend's parents live on the property and keep them inside there most of the time. It is up to you if you want them to interact with your pets or not.

Ashley was so conscious and attentive to both our concerns about leaving our pup and making certain Red was happy and safe. She is terrific. We would not hesitate calling on her again.

We are st thankful that we found Jennifer! Our dog Zac was very comfortable with her and his new buddy, Willow. Jennifer was so accommodating to all of Zac’s habits and routines and she sent texts and photo updates, which eased our anxiety:) We won’t hesitate to use Jennifer again!

Christine and Troy were absolutely wonderful with our dogs. They communicated clearly and consistently and it was obvious that they cared deeply about the comfort and safety of our dogs. They gave them heaps and love and attention and let them roam throughout their warm and welcoming home. They catered to the dogs' quirks and individual wants and needs. I would be thrilled to have Christine and Troy take care of our older dogs again.

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
