About: I’ve had dogs since I was a very young child and have two of my own today. Whether it was family or neighbors I’ve always been the go-to for pet sitting of any kind, and I hope I get the chance to show your pup or kitty the love they deserve too. I attend university online, so my schedule is very flexible and I have the ability to make as many trips as necessary a day to care for your pet, and of course I’m happy to let them sleep on my lap while I work on papers. Gaining a pets trust is important to me so I never push them beyond their comfort zone, and wait for them to choose to warm up to me.

For example, my dog is given multi-vitamins twice daily and Shayla followed those instructions. She was flexible with her schedule: as I needed to add check-in services and accommodated my last minute requests. She showed some much love and patience towards my fur-baby during my extended trip with lots of hugs, belly rubs and play, which added the comfort my fur-baby needed. About: I’ve grown up around different breeds of dogs and cats. I truly have a love for animals which make the best person to babysit your babies. I specialize in socializing young pups to just comforting pups with separation anxiety. Gone all day and need someone to check on your baby? I’m there! Your baby needs a walk while you’re at work? You can count on me! With working part time, this gives me more flexibility to help you when needed! Mornings, afternoons, and weekends I can help! Walks, quick visits, boarding, etc. I have a home with plenty of space and a huge fenced in back yard! I also live near dog parks if your baby needs to go and stretch its legs!

About: I have a dog of my own (toy poodle) and I’ve had a variety of dogs growing up. I’ve had an English bulldog, a Boston terrier, a Yorkiepoo, and a Rottweiler so I’m experienced with all types of dogs. I have been taking care of pets including kittens, cats, and dogs for the past 5 years. I’m currently working part time remotely as an attorney, so I’m usually home all day unless I have other prior commitments such as a piano lesson to teach. I make loads of time to play with my dog and my son, and take him for long walks and several potty breaks a day, so your pet will be getting the same care! I treat every animal who is in my care just as well as I treat my own baby, and I am very careful to follow clients’ instructions because I know how I would want my baby to be treated. I personally like the free roaming approach, because I am a guest in your pup’s home. But of course I will always respect the boundaries that you have set for them. If you let them on the furniture, they can come on up and cuddle with me! If you prefer them to be crated at night, I will respect your wishes. In the event that I do have to step out, know that I don’t like leaving my own dog home alone for more than 2-3 hours at a time so I take the same care with clients. Even if I have to go teach a piano lesson, I always make sure the dogs are fed and the dogs have gone for a potty break before I leave and I make sure I’m not gone too long!

Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
