“Taylor did a great job house sitting while we were on vacation. She took great care of our home, two dogs & cat. She was very responsive & sent us pictures of our boys while we were gone. I would definitely request her again in the future.”

About: I worked for two different humane societies for a total of 5 years, and have a certification through ABC for basic dog obedience. My pet care experience totals 14 years. I have a senior dog of my own, and would love to spend some time with yours! My schedule is very flexible. I have plenty of room and time for dog walks and drop ins throughout the week, mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I will gladly follow rules set in place by pet parents for how they want their pets cared for. I always carry poop bags so as not to be a neighborhood nuisance, and will strictly follow dietary guidelines for treats.
“Cassidy was awesome. Great communication, punctual, and super friendly. She loved on Rocco from the start of meeting him which he so enjoyed. She was respectful of our kitties and sent picture update during the session, much appreciated. We would definitely recommend her.”

“Casie stayed at our house for a week when we were out of town. She did a great job! Since this was my first time using Rover, Casie lead the way & did a great job! She came ahead of our reservation for a meet & greet which was a great idea! Casie sent pictures through the week. We loved being able to see our pets while we were away! The entire experience was so smooth & easy. Thanks to Casie for taking care of our pets!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and honestly just love being around them. Whether it’s going for walks, playing fetch, giving belly rubs, or staying with them while you’re away, I love making sure they feel happy, comfortable, and loved. Every dog has their own personality, and I enjoy getting to know each one and treating them like they’re my own. 🐾🤍 🐾 Monday–Friday: Flexible availability throughout the day since I work remotely and can adjust my schedule for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting. 🐾 Weekends: Limited availability due to other work commitments, but feel free to reach out and I’ll do my best to accommodate when possible. I know pets are family, so I do my best to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I follow their normal routine, give them plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and cuddles, and make sure they’re happy in their own environment. I’ll also send updates and pictures because I know I’d want them too! 🐶🐾
“Melli was great dog sitting for me. My dog is sweet but difficult, with some pretty specific ways on how she needs to be handled outside, but Melli understood what she needed and did a great job handling her, keeping her safe, and keeping me informed throughout. Would hire again!”

“Taylor was great! She responded quickly to messages. She reached out with updates and pictures as well. We had a senior dog and one that was fearful of fireworks and she was able to medicate. We really appreciated having her here too care for them.”

“Vance did a fabulous job with our pups while we were out of the country. He sent us regular updates with photos and our girls always looked super relaxed and happy. The house was immaculate when we came home, and it was really reassuring to know our trash would be taken out, our water would be left running to prevent pipes from freezing, and our plants would be watered. He did a great job with everything, and we'd absolutely book him again.”

About: I have taken care of friends and family's dogs of different breeds and all ages. I have had dogs my whole life and have years of experience. I am currently on summer break from college and I am looking for work that I enjoy and can balance my art career with. Dog sitting is perfect for me as it is something I love to do but also gives me the time I need for my career. At home, I have a fenced in yard and make sure my dogs go outside about every 2-4 hours. They get breakfast and dinner around the same time everyday. Because of my dogs anxiety issues, I also groom them at home. I am very attentive and patient with any animal I interact with.
About: I’ve taken care of animals since a little girl. I’ve trained 2 medical service dogs so far! I’m currently learning more about specialty training. I have puppy training experience, crate training, leash training, senior care, and medication management. I’m a graphic designer and I work from home. I rarely leave the house! That means I have all the time for your fur baby! I have a large fenced back yard, and a garage that is set up as a dog hang out spot with access to water & shade from the sun! I have one very friendly 11 month old German shepherd mix who loves to play & is crate trained. I have the backyard & garage on camera, but I keep an eye on my dog regardless. I either work on my laptop from the back window, or outside! We also take walks around the neighborhood. I also have a small doggy pool! The fence is over 6 foot & secured with privacy lining.

“I had Albert for the 1st time over this weekend. He was very friendly, reliable and great with my Labrador Sunshine. She is 2 1/2, high energy and 73 lbs. Albert handled her very well and took very good care of her. I already have him booked again this summer!”

About: Have experience taking care of elderly dogs with help me harnesses. Also have experience taking care of dogs with past trauma experiences. Treat every dog like it’s your own! I am on break from Physician assistant school. So I have a lot of free time until I go back at the end of January. I love to take dogs on walks multiple times a day. I am good with making sure your house is taken care of as well as your pets.
About: My mom runs a rescue, so I have taken care of countless animals while fostering them. I also have 7 cats and 5 dogs which brings a lot of experience. I am a college student athlete, so I am currently free most days of the week and weekends. Aside from doing my workouts, I love to get any extra exercise I can!! During the school year I will only be free during the weekends. I have large yard and path cut through my field for exercise. My dogs and cats are friendly to any other animal, but I am able to crate the pet if needed.
About: I've lived on a farm my whole life. We've raised dogs, cats, poultry, rabbits, sheep, goats, cows, and horses. All of our animals were unique and different. I have experience with dogs from puppies to seniors. My family usually takes in rescue dogs with behavioral issues or medical needs. I am used to waking up early to feed and water animals and hanging out with them by training, walks and exercise, or cuddling throughout the day. My day ends with feeding and watering everyone again. I have experience with many different aspects of animal care and can feed, water, provide medication, work on training, go on walks, or anything else that you and your friend need.
“One sitter we always go back to as she makes it a breeze to go out when we know our dog is with her. Sends photos while she is with him and also took him on some walks, has no problem handling anything we ask of her!”

“Jen was amazing, and it was such a pleasure to work with her! Her knowledge and experience with dogs, especially considering our high-maintenance Siberian Huskies, left us very confident that we could trust our babies with her while we were away for a week. We have four dogs—three young adult Siberian Huskies and an older mixed-breed. Our four dogs absolutely adored Jen. We've never seen them so attached to someone other than us. Jen communicated regularly and sent us pictures daily, and we could tell our dogs were being well cared for. She was respectful of our home and left it nice and tidy. She checked our mail, brought in our trash bin, and even let us know of a house issue that came up while she was sitting. I’m so happy we found Jen; she was the only reason we were able to enjoy our vacation stress-free without worrying about our dogs. If you’re looking for a professional, friendly, experienced sitter who will take excellent care of your pets, Jen is highly recommended. Thank you so much, Jen! We hope to work with you again!”

“Hilary, thank you for adopting our pets as your own while we were away for two weeks! We missed our many pets, but were so grateful to know you were thoughtfully and lovingly caring for our motley crew of fur babies (as well as some fish and house plants). The peace of mind was a true gift, and we appreciate you so much!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Boyers
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 200 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Boyers. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Boyers walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Boyers maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Boyers choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
