“Haley is outstanding! The pets were well cared for, I received a lot of pictures and communication, the house was in perfect condition upon our return and I was able to enjoy our trip knowing our pets and house were well taken care of. Would highly recommend Haley!! She even made us a welcome home sign! So cute”

“Karla was absolutely wonderful with my two Golden Retrievers, Shiloh and Snow. She was kind, responsible, communicative, and clearly cared for them as if they were her own. Throughout my trip, I had complete peace of mind knowing they were in such loving and capable hands. She kept me updated, followed all care instructions, and went above and beyond to make sure they were happy and comfortable. I returned home to two very well-cared-for and content dogs. I highly recommend Karla and will gladly book with her again!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by furry friends since I was young. I’m trusted by friends and family to take care of their pets while they travel or figure out life changes. I’m diligent about brushing, cleaning and snuggling-whatever your pup needs, I’m on it! I currently work full time from 9AM-5PM on a four day schedule. In the early morning’s and evenings I am available for walks, play time, training reinforcement, as well as clean up and any additional help needed while you’re away. During the weekends- I’m available all day Saturday-Mondays for walks and plenty of enrichment time! I have a highly energetic dog to keep your pet company! If your pet does not do well with other animals, I am happy to accommodate as needed. With plenty of parks and hikes in the area, I can assure you we’ll take plenty of walks. I will crate your pet if needed for their own safety.
About: Hi! We’re a sibling team who loves caring for pets and treating them like family. This account is now shared between us, but my sister Kathy will be the primary caregiver and will be handling most of the communication, bookings, and day-to-day services. We both have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. From long walks and playtime to feeding routines and giving lots of attention, we understand that every pet has their own personality and needs. We’re comfortable following specific instructions to make sure your pet stays happy, safe, and on their normal routine while you’re away. My sister, who you’ll be mainly interacting with, is reliable, patient, and genuinely loves animals. She has hands-on experience with pet sitting, walking, and making sure pets feel comfortable in new situations. Whether your pet needs extra playtime, calm companionship, or just someone to stick to their routine, she’s got it covered. We know how important trust is when it comes to your pets, so we’re committed to clear communication, updates, and giving you peace of mind. I am a full time nursing student at the moment. I have quite a busy schedule but I am always free to give my time for dogs and cats because they bring me so much joy. I am mostly free on weekends but I do offer a full Thursday as well. For Monday’s, I have Zoom meetings every week from 4:30pm-6:45pm so if that’s something I can work on while being with your pets, it works out! I can offer to take your pets for walks, or simply play with them in the yard, or just lay around and cuddle with them if they are the more relaxed kinds. I am not offering boarding at the moment, so any services I am offering, it will be held at your place set by your rules!
“Abbie was great! My high energy dog was so tired when we got home from our trip. That is definitely an accomplishment! The updates are plenty & always appreciated! Definitely our go to sitter.”

“Lyndsay was super communicative with me from start to finish. My flight got delayed and offered to stay a few extra hours past what we agreed upon. She sent me pics of my babies throughout the day and the entire weekend. I highly recommend her and trust her with my pups!”

“Alison was prompt and went the extras for my animals. I got pictures and check ins. This was the first time the animals had been left with someone they didn’t know. They were happy to see me, but not crazed so I know they were fine. The animals donuts have been good as she said I can book her again!!!!”

About: Hi! I'm a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds. Ever since I was a kid, animals have been a big part of my life. My grandfather owned a farm, where I helped care for dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, and many other animals. Those experiences taught me patience, responsibility, and how to understand the unique needs of each animal. I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their family is away. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, exploring outside, or simply relaxing with companionship, I'll make sure they receive personalized care and plenty of attention. I'm dependable, responsible, and committed to keeping pet parents informed. You can expect regular updates, photos, and clear communication so you'll always know how your furry family member is doing. I treat every pet as if they were my own, with kindness, patience, and respect. My goal is to earn your trust by providing a safe, fun, and loving experience for your pet while giving you complete peace of mind. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I make it a priority to provide reliable, consistent care. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship. I plan my day around each pet's needs and routine, ensuring they receive the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. Whether it's a quick drop-in, daily walks, or overnight care, I'm committed to being dependable and making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. Your pet's safety and well-being are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and any special instructions so they receive the best possible care. Whether I'm caring for your pet in my home or yours, I'll maintain a clean, calm, and safe environment while following your feeding schedule, exercise routine, and any medication or care instructions. I always make sure pets have fresh water, plenty of attention, and a secure environment. During walks, I use safe handling practices and stay alert to my surroundings. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident and connected while you're away. My goal is to treat every pet with the same love, patience, and respect I'd give my own.

About: I’ve lived my entire life with dogs. I currently have a 8-year-old Australian Shepherd and live with a 5-year-old Golden Retriever. I enjoy walking all dog breeds and sizes, and can help leash train your dog. I currently work remote Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with a one hour lunch break and am fully free on weekends. This leaves plenty of time to take care of your furry friends during the morning, midday, and evening. I would need internet access and a desk or tabletop during weekdays. I am open for FaceTiming, calls, and communication whenever needed and am particular about following instructions provided by the pet parent. They know best about their furry family members! I am also very strict about proper and comfortable leashing on walks or any time outside without a fenced in yard.
About: Hi! I work remotely and plan on staying in Salt Lake City in the month of August-October. I’m available for house and dog sitting. I’m a huge animal lover and had a rescue dog of my own who sadly passed away last year. Since my work and travel schedule doesn’t allow me to have a dog right now, I truly miss being around them, which is why I joined Rover. My goal is to provide reliable, high-quality care and build lasting relationships with both pets and their owners. Thanks to my flexible schedule, I’m also happy to help with last-minute bookings whenever possible. I’m here to make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies! I work from home so the dogs will always be next to me and won't have separation anxiety. I always make time to play and love taking dogs for walks! I have a fenced yard and one dog. There is a park near my house and I always make sure the dogs are on a leash and harness.
About: Hello! My family has had pets (cats and dogs) my entire life. I currently have two cats of my own- Nova and Arrow. I am very responsible and know how important pets are in one's life- they are family too! I enjoy running and would love to take your dog on a run with me! I can also play fetch for hours. I have experience dog-sitting for many of my friends when they are out of town, as I am almost always here during the holidays (my family lives out of state). I'm unable to have a dog of my own right now, so I would love to spend some time with yours! Whatever special needs your pet requires, just let me know I will happily oblige! I can be available on short notice and am around most weekends and holidays! I'm also hoping to meet new people through this that share a similar passion for animals :)

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 608 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Bowling Green. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bowling Green walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bowling Green maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bowling Green choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bowling Green. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
