About: I’ve cared for pets for over 45 years. I’ve owned cats and dogs but have taken care of pigs, chickens, fish and turtles. Give me a call for any pet needs. I’m retired. I have plenty of time and am flexible for all your pet care needs. Just let me know your needs and we can set your mind at ease. I have a fenced in back yard and plenty of space. I’m currently not keeping pets at my home but if needed, I can evaluate your situation.

About: Hi, my name is Ashley! I took a break from Rover but am back and ready to roll. Please be advised I live in Chesapeake and work 8am am to 5pm in Virginia Beach. I have 2 remote work days per week, but they sometimes change. I've had all kinds of pets: rats, hedgehogs, a pig, dogs, and cats. I've also worked at an animal sanctuary where I took care of horses, chickens, and other livestock and large animals. I've watched neighbors, friends, and family member's pets before. I can't imagine a life without pets in it. We have a VERY large back yard for dogs to run around in (see photos). Your pet will have their own puppy vacation while you are on yours! I am not currently boarding pets in my own home. BUT I love to get my steps in and going on walks with pets, visit them at their home, and do house sitting. Being a pet parent is a full time job. Whether it's waking up early, making sure they get their last potty breaks before bed, and everything in between, it's important to make time for pets. I work for the City of VB M-F 8am to 4:30 pm, plus my husband and 18y/o daughter live with me as well. Overall, someone is typically available before 9am and after 4pm to be at home M-F. We are also off on major holidays. Our pets are our babies and best friends, so they are a major priority in our schedule. I have a large fenced in backyard with lots of running room. My own pups like to have puppy pool parties in their plastic kiddie play pool. They have lots of toys. Get daily walks, go to the dog park once a week to socialize, get baths, and of course get regular vet visits. We go above and beyond for our fur babies. Our cat gets similar treatment and has his own room where his litter box, food, and water, that has a cat door on it so the dogs can't get in.

“Jordan has watched my dog and cat a few times now and has always been great. My dog has separation anxiety when I’m gone, but I know he’s in good hands and she takes good care of him. Will continue to book with her for future needs!”

“Marissa did such a great job house sitting our cat while we were gone for a week. She took excellent care to follow all instructions, and left the house so clean. We are so appreciative! Would definitely recommend Marissa :)”

“Christine took great care of my boys while we were away for a week! I was nervous as I've never had anyone stay at our home with the dogs before. I have a very large, older Cane Corso that is getting anxious as he ages so I was on pins and needles that he would cause issues while we were gone, but he didn't. She took great care of then and the house and I would definitely recommend her to anyone. Will definitely be reaching back out the next time we go away!”

“Jem was amazing! Very communicative, gave us so many updates! Our fur babies were clearly safe and comfortable in her care. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for someone to trust with their pets.”

“Another amazing stay by Kelsey! My pups absolutely love him! He is so communicative, leaves the house spotless and able to adjust with my airline delays.”

“We’ve used Taylor several times to watch our two dogs and home. She is the best! This weekend our flight was delayed so she stayed an extra night to make sure our dogs were taken care of :)”

About: Is this your first time using Rover? Use my code: DIANNG93865 Growing up I always had pets and would help take care of them. I have had Huskies, Chihuahuas, cats, fish, and everything in between. Now have one cat, Carter and love to take care of my friends pets when they are out of town. I have also had a senior cat who needed to take extra medications the last few months of her life. If your pet has extra needs do not hesistate to reach out. I am currently working nights, which gives me a lot of time in the moring and early afternoon for play time and to take care of all your furry friend's needs. My cat is very spoiled girl and I am excited to give that same energy and love to your pets aswell! Meeting up before hand is a great way to make sure we are both on the same page.
