About: I have had dogs all my life & have taken care of friends & family’s pets. I tend to adopt “problem” dogs that other people can’t handle. I love a challenge & gaining the trust of the dog. I used to frequent the Dominican Republic to feed & give flea baths to the neglected street dogs out there. I’m currently working from home & was a bartender for the last 20 yrs but now looking for a new career with animals because they are my true passion. I just moved to the Gardner, Illinois for a bigger yard & a 6ft privacy fence to expand my dog sitting business. I also have a small pool for the dogs. I have lots of gates up throughout the house & different rooms I can put dogs in if any need to separated. I also have large crates I can use.

“She took excellent care of my baby girl. I would recommend her to anyone that is looking for a great sitter to babysit their baby dog.”

About: I’ve had dogs in my life ever since I was born! I love all dogs and have dog sat for friends, family, and neighbors for years. I’ve worked with all types of dogs from large to small, outgoing and shy, and even anxious puppies. I’m currently working from home so I have a lot of time for your dog! My weekends are typically spent working on projects at home so I spend a lot of time at home. :) I live in a quiet neighborhood with very nice walking paths! We do not have a fenced in yard but have many leashes available. I have a super friendly golden retriever to keep your dog company!

About: My lifelong commitment to caring for dogs in our home, and now our work-from-home schedule, means that we have a lot of room in our family to have some visitors. Our young kids are OVERJOYED each time we host a new dog, so this experience is actually helping them craft the skills they need to be loving and responsible pet parents in the future. Missoula is truly a wonderful place to have dogs- the local dog park is one of our favorite places to go, whether we have a dog with us or not, it's just so beautiful and always full of dozens of other great dogs and owners. I have also helped raise dogs for sledding in Alaska so I would rather prefer leisure dog ownership over having working dogs.

“Alex is an amazing dog handler. I can say that simply having my dog with her once a week for a few months led to a noticable improvement for on leash walking skills. Awesome communication and my dog always runs up to greet her for their day together.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for my entire life. I’ve spent many years working at a vet clinic so I am comfortable with all animals. Friends and family have relied on me to watch their pets for many years. I currently have a very flexible work schedule, and can be available with advanced notice. My work can be done from anywhere so I am available most times. If I’m caring for a pet in a clients home, the first thing I want to do is spend some time letting the pet get to know me. They need to feel us out too!

About: In the past I’ve had foster dogs from the shelters and they would ask me for more help if they were needing extra help with the dogs. I’m available almost anytime after noon. I am looking for a new thing to start doing I love animals and I have experience with watching dogs and cats. If needed I can train the dogs and watch the house if my clients need me to. I can clean up messes if an accident occurs.

14. Robyn W.
“I have known Robyn for over 25 years. I have seen her love and care for just about any kind of animal there is, from snakes to chinchillas. Over the years she has taken care of my 3 pitbulls while I was out of town and 100% knew my babies were in the best hands possible. Not only does she love domestic animals, she also has great need to touch and learn about animals in the wild. She truly belongs in a career working with animals, her empathy and dedication she has shown for homeless animals in the US and in the islands we have visited would warm your heart. Ask her about them. If your baby has anxiety, temperament issues or hard to deal with behavior, Robyn loves that challenge and has the patience to get that furbaby to trust her and love her. Your baby will be in good hands.”
