I have several pets of my own, so I understand the love, attention, and responsibility that goes into keeping them happy and healthy. I also volunteered for years with Feline Finish Line at Petco, where I helped care for and socialize cats while they waited to find their forever homes. About: I have been taking care of friends and family pets as well as my own for over 10 years. I also have basic veterinary care experience from working at vet offices/boarding kennels and can give medications upon request. I am currently working 10 hour days at a veterinary hospital in Reading Monday and Wed-Fri and in college part-time, but i have plenty of time to take care of your furry friends. Please allow a 1 hour travel window for me to arrive after I get off work. I have a fenced in yard for our animals and all have been leash, e-collar, recall, and crate trained and I can follow any specific requests to the best of my availability.

About: I know just how difficult it can be to be away and to find someone trustworthy to care for your beloved pets; especially those with medical and unique needs. That’s why I’m here: to make that time away as worry free and easy as possible! Friends aren’t always around to help out, and no one likes to stick their pups in a kennel. That’s what inspired me to become a sitter! I have a huge passion for making sure that pets are happy and healthy! When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet in-person or video call. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pet and your care expectations. No one knows your pet better than you do, so it’s always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pet tick! Finally, me and Rosie love meeting new dogs and cats! I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m a welcome presence here to make friends, and I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all. I believe that the cornerstone of any good stay is communication. For me, good communication begins before your pet comes under my care, as I love to get as much information about you and your pet right off the bat! Getting a good idea about your care expectations is just as important as learning about what makes your pup tick. With that information in mind, I like to start thinking as early as possible about what a dream stay would be! During the stay, I like to send regular updates with accompanying pictures, so you can see just how well your pet is doing while you’re away. In addition to pictures, I like to send detailed information on anything you need to feel in the loop—from behaviors to meals to exercise times. Going the extra mile is just what I do best! *For house pet sitting, I am a currently working in Pennsylvania and able to travel with my dog, who is dog/cat tolerant & house trained, to you for 2-3 day weekend stays within 5 hours of Lancaster,PA.

“Dane and Kayla were wonderful taking care of both, our dog and our cat. I liked that they own as well a dog and a cat, making them more understanding of their needs. They kept me ip to date daily with several pictures and I could see my pets were happy. I had to prolong my trip for unexpected health reasons and D&K were the nicest. They extended the contract and even helped me by buying more food for both animals when it ran out, until I returned to pay them back. I felt they really cared for the well-being of our pets , not just to fulfill an obligation. About: Had pets my whole life. I walk all the time and know where to take them and have an SUV with enough room to fit them in. Have 2 children who adore all animals. I have a full time job, Tuesday through Saturday, but I’m usually home around 2-4 pm. I’m available every evening and can stop to let them out during the day because of my job flexibility. I love both ends of the spectrum. I love being active and taking dogs for walk/runs. I also love relaxing and cuddling with them and getting to know what their preferences. Will follow all strict diet rules and keep a very clean house to avoid unwanted eating restrictions.

About: I am an animal lover! Throughout my life, I have had dogs, cats, a horse, and raised puppies from birth. I am passionate about training dogs and exercising their intelligence. I truly believe that dogs are such blessings that love unconditionally, and we have a responsibility to care for and cherish them. I’m currently between jobs right now so I have a good bit of free time on my hands when I am not traveling with friends and family. About: I have been helping care for our dogs my entire life but I’m really only counting since I was 10. I’m not sure if I would count earlier as helping lol. I would dog sit for family, friends, and coworkers too. I always make sure they are happy and feed. Along with making sure all their energy is out too. I will follow all food instructions that they have. I have given dogs pills before if they require them. I have limited experience with both elderly dogs and puppies, however I am willing to learn what they will need from me. I do work full time but I have an hour lunch where I can run back to let them out. I work from 8-4 so if they don’t need to be let out during the day I will let them out immediately once I get back. I do not do much on the weekends so weekends will be spent with furry friends. I will care for your pet in your home and make it as close as to their routine as possible. I have walked dogs on a leash and have good control. If they do not eat human food they will not be given human food. I always stick to the portions that I am told when feeding them too. If I have a concern about one of the furry friends I will contact you immediately to see what you would like me to do.
