“Took great care of my babies and always responsive. Animals and house looked perfect when we returned home!”

About: I have pet sit dogs and cats many times for my family. Pets were a part of my family growing up, mostly dogs and also sometimes cats. Also at one point an aquarium of fish. Recently prior to joining Rover I have also been taking two of my mother’s dogs for walks fairly regularly when visiting and taking care of them when it was just myself at the house. Currently I do not have any pets of my own because they are not allowed in the rental lease. I also know of some of the natural area trails and parks in the nearby area that would be good to take dogs for a walk at. My current schedule for pet care can be fit to a wide range of times most days. Other current work activities are mainly involving the start of a small farm type business and volunteer work. I make sure that safety is always a priority and taken into account, one of the main areas of focus being to keep any doors monitored and closed so that a pet does not go outside by accident. Also keeping awareness of any food or other objects in a client's home that a pet could get to by accident.

“My Fur Baby most definitely enjoyed her time with Whitney! Whitney was very communicative and took great care of her. Will be booking again”

“Drew was so amazing with our pup! He received lots of love and attention while we were gone. Our dog can also be reactive towards other animals on leash, and Drew did a fantastic job.”

“We are traveling with our Italian Greyhound Stan and needed a pet sitter to stay in our hotel room with him while we attended an event. We chose Nicole on the strength of her many positive reviews and would now like to add to those reviews! Nicole was very communicative, arrived right on time, and took great care of Stan. He can be skittish but he settled right down with her, and according to the several reassuring pictures she sent throughout the evening, Stan had a relaxing time in her care (mainly on her lap!). She even took him for a nice walk. We highly recommend Nicole as a caring and trustworthy pet sitter and only wish we lived in the same town so she could watch Stan again. Don’t hesitate to engage Nicole to watch your beloved pet, she is wonderful!”

“Matt was a fantastic pet sitter! He was extremely responsive and communicative. We got lots of pics and updates and were confident our pups were in good hands. Wed absolutely book Matt again.”

“Ben took great care of my 2 dogs while I was away. He kept me informed on how they were doing and left my house clean and tidy. We'll be using him again to care for the dogs!”

About: I’ve had a dog in my household my entire life. I worked on a farm for two summers so I have a lot of experience with animal care. I’ve been a pet sitter in some capacity for roughly 8 years and I have experience with puppies, dogs of all ages, and dogs with anxiety and trauma issues. During high school I regularly took care of two dogs with anxiety and high energy. I did my senior year thesis project in high school on dog behavior, training and reactivity. As part of my project I got my dog and cat first aid certification from the Red Cross, which has since lapsed while I was getting my EMT license. Also as well as working for Rover for a couple summers, after high school I worked at a dog kennel for close to a year which saw up to about 40 dogs a day. Now I’m in college and looking to spend some time with dogs since we don’t have one of our own. I’ll take excellent care of your furry family members if given the opportunity! I work 3 days a week but am out of school for the summer so I have plenty of other time for walks and drop ins! As of right now I don’t offer any service in my home. For my other services, in Burlington we live in close proximity to a lot of little walks and hikes that I would love to take your pups on! Or just a little walk around the block if that’s what your pup prefers. For drop ins I follow any instructions clients leave for me, and do my best to make the pup feel cared for and loved!

“William was super nice and great with our pup! She was just as happy as when I left her when I came home! He was also tidy in the home. We will definitely ask William to care for our pup again!”

About: I am caring, reliable, and experienced with animals. I treat every pet like family, ensuring love, safety, and comfort at all times. I understand how hard it can be to trust a stranger with your fur babies and I will do everything I can to help you feel comfortable and develop a trusting relationship with me. I am currently working part time and love to prioritize time with animals. I will do everything I can to make a request work! I am very flexible. I understand the importance of leashing dogs and only letting them off in safe and enclosed environments. Cats will remain indoors under my care and I am very careful when it comes to opening external doors. I am experienced with escape artists!

“Cindy took such good care of my dog while I was away on vacation. She kept in regular touch with me, by providing updates on how things were going, as well as pictures, which really put my mind at ease. It was the first time my dog hadn't been watched by either friends or family, so it meant a lot to find someone that genuinely loves animals and was fully committed to my dog's needs, as she was very attentive to my instructions regarding his eating schedule and other routines. When I got home, my place was spotless, and she had taken the extra step of doing laundry and making the bed, so I would have clean sheets to return to! I would highly recommend Cindy for anyone looking for an extremely reliable, responsible, and caring dog sitter.”

“Sade was the BEST - sending pictures of Marvin, taking him to our local reservoir, giving him plenty of snuggles, and just letting us feel relaxed while we’re away. Marvin isn’t the easiest dog sometimes and we feel so calm and comfortable knowing he’s in Sade’s hands!”

“Deborah took such wonderful care of my kitty Leo while we were away for 10 days. She stayed in our home ànd sent me text updates with pictures during her stay. It was clear from the pictures of Leo snuggling on her lap that he was very comfortable and she loving with him. Upon our return, Leo was just as affectionate with us as before. Deborah also left our home as clean as when we left. We're planning on having Deborah stay in our home again soon to care for Leo. It was a wonderful experience having her here and we felt Leo was comfortable and happy as well!!”

“Maggie was in great hands with Emily. At 15 Maggie is set in her ways and all went well.”

“Flexible and communicative and my dog was the least stressed I've seen her after a pet sister's stay!”

“Janet was communicative and professional and took good care of our pup for a week. Would recommend!”

About: Everyone around me knows how much I love pets. I have helped dog sitting my boss’s dog, and as a first timer, I know I did great! I’m working a full time job, I’m ready for anything after working hours and weekends. For occasional home visits, I can make some exceptions depending on my schedule. I myself have a cat, and I haven’t been able to assess how she would react with other pets so I’m holding off on brining in other pets for now. Otherwise, for the clients, I make sure I observe all safety measures and that I’m giving them all the love.

“Alison was attentive, sent pics & kept us in the loop about how everyone was doing.”

“Alyson is a local business owner and an excellent and reliable dog/pet sitter!”

I am comfortable and confident to take care of all of your pet’s necessities in an orderly, clean and dependable fashion. I have experience with a wide variety of temperaments.

Allysa P.
“Allysa, aka Mavis, is a wonderful and caring young woman who regularly prioritizes the needs of animals and others, almost to a fault, over everything else. Every animal I've seen her interact with loves her, she's a real life snow white. She is cautious and considerate. She is also diligent about closing and locking doors behind her. She is going into early childhood education and will give your fur babies the same love and care she will be giving human children down the line. She's got so much love to give, you won't regret giving her a chance!”

David N.
“David adores animals, particularly dogs. I am lucky enough to work in an office where we can bring our pets in at different times. My work sometimes requires me to meet sometimes at length with clients, sometimes who are afraid of dogs so I cannot have my dog in the office with me. David joyously offers to take my dog and without being prompted he will make sure he goes out for pee breaks, has water and is kept comfortably contained. He is amazingly kind, professional and trustworthy. I have known him over 2 years and I trust him implicitly.”

Allison J.

“Alison was attentive, sent pics & kept us in the loop about how everyone was doing.”

Alyson K.Star Sitter

“Alyson is a local business owner and an excellent and reliable dog/pet sitter!”

Mattie C.
“Not only is Mattie an exquisitely attentive caretaker of her own cat, Sarge - treating him like the family he's become - but through many mutual friends her love of dogs and cats is clear to us all, and her dedication to taking care of them (from childhood to the present) is next level. Mattie loves *and* understands animals. And they certainly love her!”
