5. Abby G.
“Abby has spent multiple evenings with my two large breed dogs. Abby has shown empathy with my dogs that are older and she was affectionate with both of them. I own a mastiff and sometimes the drooling can be a little off putting for alot of people. Abby did not hesitate to allow my dog to be in her lap and never worried about him drooling on her. I appreciate abby's dedication to ensuring that a dog feels loved.”

About: I have had a dog in my life since I was 8, have raised 2 daughters now 28 and 30, added several dogs permanently as well as several foster dogs; several cats; my husband had several falcons and is a licensed falconer, boarded several horses, including the one my daughter bought on her own at age 9; numerous small animals: guinea pigs, chinchillas, and hamsters; and recently took care of my son-in-law's South American racoon, a Kudamundi, for more than a year as they began homesteading in Montana. I am a retired educator, living on 10 acres of land just outside of Blue Grass, Iowa. We currently have a 6 year old Golden Retriever named Fergus and a rescue red tabby cat named Finlay. My schedule is flexible and I am also working at developing a business (property not yet zoned) on my property to provide TimberNook programming, where children are offered numerous free, open-ended, child directed/driven/supported play opportunities in the beautiful and important world of nature. I am happy to have your pet in my home, most often as a member of our family. We have a large area for free roaming (supervised of course), an outdoor enclosed kennel area, and lots of space to roam around our 10 acre property as well as our 2400 square foot home.

About: I have had four dogs. I've had a black lab, a beagle, and two cocker spaniels. This past year when I was away at college I volunteered at a animal shelter for three years, there I walked, fed, bathed, and just socialized with the dogs to ensure that they felt loved. I also met with potential adopters to convince them to give a puppy or dog a home. I love dogs of all sizes and breeds. I only care about what the dogs and the owners want, meaning I will do only what is best for the dog in the owners eyes, not mine because it is not my pet. I don't push them or force the dogs into anything. I make sure I know everything the dogs need or prefer before I meet the dogs. I’m currently in graduate school working towards my doctorate degree. Weekends I am completely free. Weeknights are also completely free. Weekdays are flexible, some days I have class all day, others for half the day. I have a fenced in yard and 2 dogs and 1 cat in my household currently. When it comes to caring for your pets in your home, I do everything within the owners limits.

13. Kasey M.
“Kasey loves our dog just like he is one of her own. She is very timely, responsive, and kind. Our labrador loves to play fetch with her, and enjoys his time spent with her. It really helps us out to use Kasey while we are busy working in the office all week.”
14. Miranda M.
About: Hello! My name is Miranda and I am 24 years old. I have 9 years experience professionally with dogs, I do have my own car, so transportation would not be a problem. I will always do my best to try and help out in any way I can. I am a very loving, patient, outgoing, caring and energetic woman. Dog walking & pet sitting is something I have always been so passionate about because everyday is different and new. I have always loved being around animals ever since I was a little girl. My mother was a professional dog groomer and I helped her out for 10 years! This is so much fun to do and I think finding someone that loves what they do to care for your pets is the most important thing. I can't wait to help you in your everyday life with your adorable fur baby/babies! I’m a stay at home mom so I am available basically all of the time! I will always give you a heads up if I will not be available. I have a large fenced in yard and have 2 fur babies to keep yours company if needed and I have crates as well if we need to use them.
15. Mikayla M.
“I met Mikayla by accident and I am forever thankful. My daughter was getting married out of town and I was frantically trying to find someone to take care of my boys. With a phone call to my vets office for help. Mikayla answered the phone. As I tried to tell her through tears that I needed to know if they could help me find a trustworthy sitter. Mikayla answered my prayers. She came to my home prior to my trip and met my boys and listened to all my crazy instructions. Mikayla took amazing care and sent me pictures with every visit. With my last trip she even went back a third time to take pictures when her phone died with the first visit. She not only cares for my babies she cares about me. Reliable, trustworthy and very caring. Forever thankful for Mikayla!”
16. Zara F.
“Arrived on time, did a great job with my pets!”
17. Lisa B.
“This is the second time we have had Lisa take care of our dogs. The first was a stay for a week in August while we were on vacation and the second, yesterday for a drop-in. She has been excellent both times. One of our two rescue dogs is really timid, yet Lisa is able to get her leash on and take them both for walks. Lisa has also been taking care of things around the house while we were gone. We will definitely have her take care of our dogs again! We would highly recommend Lisa!”
18. Elizabeth F.
About: I have had the responsibility of taking care of dogs since I was 6 years old and I have loved doing so. I started staying over night with dogs and cats when I was 17 years old and I make sure they are loved the entire time. I have dealt with puppies as well as adult dogs when it comes to potty training, taking them on walks, giving medicine if it is necessary, and making sure they have all of their needs taken care of. There is no doubt that your dog will be loved and greatly taken care of when I am with them. :) I am currently a full-time college student at St. Ambrose University but I do have a pretty flexible schedule throughout the week and weekends. I am available mornings and evenings and a couple days a week I am available through the lunch hour. I will be respectful of your house and belongings as well as your pets belongings. Throughout overnight stays I will always have the dishes done and make sure to take out the trash when the stay is complete. I love to send daily updates of the dog so you know they are in great hands.
19. Kenzie R.
“Kenzie was so amazing with our cat Poppy (: She was very communicative and sent great pictures. Poppy seemed to have a great time with her and is very happy following her care!”
20. Vicky M.
“Vicky has a wonderful personality and was a born caretaker. Whether it's her friends, her family, or her four-legged friends, Vicky puts their health and happiness at her top priority. I would certainly and have trusted her with the care of my pet and have been more than happy with the results and would definitely recommend her to anyone I know for the care of their dog.”
