Dog Beach at Fort Desoto State Park
3500 Pinellas Bayway S, Tierra Verde, FL
While some beaches simply allow dogs, Fort De Soto State Park’s dog beach is entirely for dogs and their humans. This beach is also special because it is surrounded by over a thousand acres of protected island ecosystems, some of which you can explore with your dog (while leashed).
At the dog beach, enjoy a fun place to play off-leash, as well as two fenced areas, one for large dogs and one for small dogs. Amenities include water stations for getting a drink or rinsing your pet after a romp in the sand.
For more information on the park and its rules, visit the Pinellas County Parks webpage on Fort Desoto Park. Pay a nominal fee of $5 and enjoy the whole park for a day.
