  • Not a substitute for professional veterinary help.

When your dog has finished playing in the sun, serve up this refreshing frozen treat. This freeform ice lick is similar to its veggie counterpart, but tart and fruity instead. Combine the flavors of your choice (such as honeydew, cantaloupe, or watermelon) with a handful of cranberries for a quick recipe that takes no time at all to prepare.

If a photo session is in your future, toss these melon chunks into a pretty mold to make the end result Instagrammable. Once the mold is frozen solid, voila! Your dog has a healthy treat that will taste delicious and keep them occupied.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups honeydew chunks
  • 1 1/2 cups cantaloupe chunks
  • 1/3 cup cranberries
  • Water to fill your mold

Pro tip: Use distilled water boiled a few times for the clearest ice.
