Here at Rover, we can’t get enough of dogs in costume, and we were thrilled to see the creativity in our annual dog costume contest. From celebrities to spooky classics and everything in between, the dog people really showed up for Halloween this year! We selected a pool of finalists, then turned over the judging to several prominent bloggers. See the results below.
Thanks to the folks at Bissell, we’re giving away one awesome portable Bissell BarkBath to the dog (and their human) in first place.
First Place: Prince
Lizzy Castaneda of California had the brilliant idea to dress her dog Ninja up as Prince, and it was a hit with our panelists. Ninja really rocks this look!
Runner-Up: Mother of Dragons
Dondi May in Seattle dressed up in a “Game of Thrones” theme alongside her dog, and the panelists were loving it. So regal!
Third Place: Frankenstein and Bride
Nicholas Petersen in St. Louis went for a spooky theme with this matching Frankenstein and Bride costume for his two dogs. They’re perfect for their parts, aren’t they?
Fourth Place: Wolfman
Kathi Wilson Finley dressed up her rescued cutie Fritz as Wolfman this year. He’s already got the fangs, she explained, so this just completes the look.
Fifth Place: Flower Pot
Janet Kerr of New Braunfels, TX dressed up her sweet dogs, Mickey and Cooper, as beautiful blooms in a flower pot. Too much cute.
Thanks to our judges’ panel
