Who’s the most eligible bachelor on this season of The Bachelorette? It’s definitely Rachel Lindsay’s dog, Copper Ash. Fans around the world have fallen head over heels in love for this four-legged guy. And speaking of head over heels, when Copper appeared on episode 2 in a full leg cast, fans went wild asking what the heck had happened.
Turns out, Copper broke a bone in his foot while playing around and ‘being a daredevil.’

Copper is a 2 year-old rescue, a Finnish spitz and German shepherd mix that Rachel adopted in January.

Making Copper such an integral part of the show adds a layer of realism for fans with “fur kids” of their own.
“That’s my dog child and he said whoever’s gonna be his newest daddy — if I pick one — he needed to be a part of it,” the Bachelorette told Jimmy Kimmel.
Research shows that many of us can relate to Rachel’s position about dogs and dating! We look forward to seeing more of Cooper throughout the season.
We’ve put together a collection of some of our favorite Copper photos to tide you over until the next episode airs and (hopefully) brings us lots more time with our favorite furry cast member.
