Start your dog’s morning right with these dog-friendly blueberry mini-muffins. Fresh or frozen blueberries add all the sweetness your dog needs in a healthy and vitamin-packed package. Plus, these fluffy little cakes will fill your kitchen with the wonderful aromas of blueberries and vanilla. Mmmm.

Dogs savor these moist and flavorful bites. Perfect on their own, or add a dollop of yogurt for frosting.

  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Cook Time: 15 minutes
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 12 mini cupcakes 1x

Ingredients

Makes one tray of 24 mini muffins

  • 1/2 Cup Rolled Oat Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 3/4 Cup Frozen Berries
  • 1/2 Cup Apple Sauce (unsweetened)
  • 1/4 Cup Lowfat Yogurt
  • 1 egg

Equipment

  • Food Processor
  • Silicone Mini Cupcake Mold
  • Cookie Sheet

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350º

Use the food processor to pulverize rolled oats until a fine, floury texture is reached.

Add the baking powder and pulse to combine.

Add the applesauce, yogurt, and egg, pulsing to combine.

Mix in the blueberries by hand to avoid blueberry-geddon.

Lightly grease the silicone tray and place on the cookie sheet for stability.

Drop batter by spoonfuls into molds.

Bake for 15-18 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
