“She was very attentive and concerned for our dogs She provided daily updates with photos so we knew they were being well cared for She took care of our home probably better than we do! Highly recommended”

“Cassie was an AMAZING house sitter for our recent trip! She went above and beyond caring for all of our dogs and home. She was able to manage medication, feeding and potty schedules for them all. She cared for our dogs and home as if they were her own. Our dogs loved having her with them at the house. She made them feel at ease with their peeps away. I am so happy that we found such an amazing and trustworthy person to care for our 4 legged girls while we are gone!! 5 stars PLUS”

“Sarah is the exact person you are looking for to care for your pet while you’re away. They are enthusiastic and ask important questions. They also send updates and photos while you’re away. We will use Sarah to watch our dog whenever we are away and they have availability.”

About: I have had our dog Bosco for four years and he is the best boy ever. I have also watched foster dogs for my friend who manages a shelter in neenah and I have watched other friends dogs in the past. I get done in the afternoon so I can walk dogs in the afternoon and check on cats in the afternoon. I’m also free on weekends and I have off every government holiday. Unfortunately taking pets into my apartment is not ideal for our household, with that being said, I have absolutely no issues going to your home either to let the dogs out for play time and walks or even over night. Same with cats, going to your home is better suited for me!
About: I have over 15 years of pet sitting experience with a variety of animals such as dogs, cats, birds, turtles, lizards, fish, rabbits, chickens and ducks. I have experience with temperamental or reactive animals as well. Animals are my passion and both friends and family know they can rely on me to provide exceptional care, love and respect to their fur babies while they are away. No animal is too big or too small! I am currently unemployed and in the job searching process so I have a very open and flexible schedule. Whether you need dog walking services or in-home care I can more than likely make it work for your needs! I have a beagle/boxer mix who gets daily walks and has a big fenced in yard to enjoy at our home. I also have two cats, a classic brown tabby and a petite tuxedo girly. We are unique as we bring all of our animals camping so they get to experience the outdoors with us! My animals are treated like my children and part of the family which is exactly how I would treat yours. I honestly prefer animals over humans.
“Rowan stayed with our blue heeler in our home for 6 days and was great with her. He was very patient and tolerant of her quirky habits. He took her for walks, car rides, played with her a lot and sent me many pictures. Rowan is very dependable and responds quickly to texts and asks questions if necessary. Thanks Rowan! Loved that you gave Terra your full attention while you were here.”

About: I grew up having dogs around and they are my favorite animal! My family has been fortunate to adopt 3 dogs, so far, in my life: a Black Lab-Dachshund, a Bassett Hound, and an Australian Cattle Dog; all very different dogs! I also have the experience of watching family & friends animals over the years! Having been around so many different types of dogs has taught me how many different behaviors and reactions they have depending on the environment or people it is/has been surrounded by. At the end of last year I got married and moved to Fond du Lac and have been looking at some part time work. I am very flexible with scheduling right now! I will ensure your pets comfort, safety, and well-being by learning their daily schedules and rules by their owners. I understand that comfort, safety, and trust comes in three parts, the owner, the pet, and myself; and will respect all parties.
About: I have over 20 years of experience handling dogs of all shapes and sizes. For over 12 years, I managed and ran a 48 kennel boarding, training and daycare facility. I can handle almost any dog and can teach dogs a wide variety of skills. I currently compete with my 2 dogs n Schutzhund and enjoy the process of teaching them to be better balanced canine citizens. I have a free schedule and would love to hang out with some pups during the day. I do a lot with my own dogs but have LOTS of experience taking take of other people’s dogs and would love to hang with them. I am a firm balanced believer in crate training. I can easily adapt to your pets’ schedule and can administer most medications, special foods, etc.
About: I have 4 years experience of working as a vet tech! I’ve also worked for a boarding kennel, a groomer, animal control and I also have some experience with training! I’m currently working full time but I’m available all day on Tuesdays for walks or drop-ins. And whenever for pet/house sitting. I would love to some day do week night pack walks with multiple dogs! You can trust that I will let you know of any issues with either your pet or your home. If I’m concerned of any behavioral issues or health issues, even the smallest of things, I will let you know immediately. With my experience in veterinary medicine, I have good judgment of weather a health concern can wait until you’ve returned home or if I need to take the pet to the vet immediately.
About: I have taken care of many of my friends pets since I was 12 which includes staying overnight at their homes when they are gone for weeks. I do long and short care sitting for pets. I love to spend time with pets and making sure they get the care they deserve. I am currently not working right now but will have a part time job soon. I will talk with the owners and work out a good schedule that will work best for all. Growing up we have used an invisible fence and radio collars to keep our dogs in our yard. We made sure to check in on them periodically while they were outside. While I'm taking care of my friends pets, I would play inside and outside with them, go on walks with them, and make sure they get the best care.
“Emily did a fantastic job of caring for all 3 of my animals, watering the indoor and outdoor plants as well as leaving my home just as clean as she found it. I will definitely use her again in the future!”

“We had Bryanna stay at our house to watch our puppy for a few days. She did come by to meet us and Luna ahead of time to get to know Luna and her schedule. Bryanna did a great job with our puppy Luna. She communicated back and forth as well so we were able to know how things were going while we were away.”

“Emily did great with our two dogs, one who is very anxious and the other who is very high energy! She took them on walks and to the dog park, took lots of pictures, and we felt very at ease knowing she was taking care of them!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Black Wolf
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 245 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Black Wolf. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Black Wolf walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Black Wolf maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Black Wolf choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Black Wolf. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
