“Alexandra was a very sweet dog sitter! We needed someone to take care of our dog for the day while we hiked the Chiricahua Mountains. Alexandra kept our dog active during the day and lives very close to the dog park in Bisbee which our dog loved. We would definitely use Alexandra for our next visit!”

“Katie was communicative before and during the dog sit. She sent me pics of Bodhi playing and enjoying her place. She walked and fed him well and really made me feel comfortable about everything. I highly recommend her!!”

“Selena is clearly incredibly loving and a lover of dogs. Stevie bonded with her dogs and had fun. Selena was also incredibly flexible at the last minute both on the front and back ends.”

“Lauren and her family were great, and treated our dogs like one of them! Our pups didn't want to leave (especially KJ), which is a good sign! It also helps they have a lot of space to run around in, and her dogs were super friendly (to us and the pups). I highly recommend her if you need a sitter!!”

“Kaite was patient, flexible and took time for introductions with her dogs to ensure a safe and fun welcome to her home. Bella enjoyed having a large yard to play in with her new friends.”

“Felisha was super flexible and saved our trip. I accidentally booked day care vs boarding and she had no issues helping me out to take care of my Charley for the whole weekend. He looked super happy and content on all photos. I’ll definitely seek her petsitting services again in future and definitely recommend!”

“Christine was great at establishing a good repore with Momo and her new surroundings. All while making things smooth and simple during dropoff/pickup. Momo was very happy on pickup which which shows how comfortable her stay was. Will definitely book again in the future!”

About: Ive had cats and dogs my whole life. We have 3 golden retriever dogs, 1 female 2 years old and 2 puppies, 1 male and 1 female, that are 4 months old, that help with welcoming any new dogs to the property. We are on a 4 acre, fully fenced yard, the dogs are able to run and be free in. I am retired so I am able to be home as much as needed. We have a 4 acre fully fenced property with smaller fenced areas as needed for different kinds of animals. We have kiddy pools to stay cool in. Plenty of covered places to stay cool. All animals are welcome inside as long as clean. We also have large dog cages inside, for dogs that aren't so clean inside. Lol I am retired so the animals usually will come in and out as they please. We have a doggie door. I have 3 golden retriever dogs that can welcome and show any new animals the place. Golden retrievers are know as very friendly and very intelligent. They will welcome any animal to the home as long as the newcomer is also kind.
“Christianna was so amazing for our Tully ! I got multiple videos and photos throughout the day!!! I could not be more thankful to have her with my girl! ❤️❤️❤️”

“First time using Rover and Jackie was amazing! She was very accommodating even with last minute plans, super friendly and you can tell she loves dogs. I got adorable photos, videos and updates throughout my pups stay with her. I would highly recommend Jackie to anyone needing a dog sitter.”

“Gladys was awesome and polite! When picked up, Momo was happy and tired (good for me) and I'm glad the "Gladys" home welcomed her as they did. I appreciate all she did and hope to book her again in the future!”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats since I was 5 years old, I’ve also been the one friends and family call to care for their pets while they’re away. I have so much love for animals that watching them is a privilege and not just a job :) I’m currently a preschool teacher, but I have lots of veterinary experience! I’ve spent time working for a mobile veterinarian, as well as two other animal hospitals here in town. With that being said, your fur baby would be in great hands :) I work day shift- Monday through Friday- so I can let your pup out in the morning, before I go to work, on my lunch break, and then again before bed. I’m off every weekend so I’m available at all times those days. Animals are like family to me, so I am always petting, cuddling and playing with them. They will get all the attention they could ask for :)
About: I have experience with dog training, including basic obedience and some service-related training, which helps me reinforce good habits and provide structure. I’m also comfortable administering medications and following detailed care instructions. I’ve cared for other dogs in the past and have my own fur baby, so I understand the level of trust it takes to leave your pet with someone. I’m experienced with puppies who need consistency and training, as well as senior dogs who may need extra patience and gentle care. I focus on personalized, attentive care—making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m available Sunday through Saturday and can be flexible with scheduling. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine, so I’m able to provide consistent attention, walks, feeding, and playtime throughout the day. On weekends, I spend extra time with my dog going to parks or hiking, and I love including pets in safe, fun outdoor activities. I always come prepared with plenty of water, treats, and outdoor toys to keep pets happy, active, and comfortable! I provide a safe, clean, and loving environment for every pet. My apartment complex has a medium-sized dog park, plus there’s a larger community park nearby for extra exercise and enrichment. I stick closely to each pet’s routine—feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, and plenty of attention. I always supervise outdoor time and keep spaces clean and comfortable so your pet feels secure and at home.
“Kaia had such a wonderful time with Alicia and her family! She loved playing with their sweet kids and friendly dogs. I’ll absolutely be bringing her back here again. Alicia also kept me updated with lots of photos and great communication.”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
