“Sandra was great, we really liked how she was very responsive, on time and on top of that she send me updates of our little Lui during his stay at her home. We highly recommend her, thank you for taking care of our little Lui!”

“Maggie must of had an awesome day! Because she came home and passed out. Thank you so much for the great care provided to her. I can't wait to have her over again. Thank you so much!”

“150% recommend Brian for your pup! I was so nervous about last minute needing to find a daycare option for my senior beagle who is very much a homebody and can be nervous in new situations, but Brian took so much extra care and attention to make sure Mason was more than comfortable in the new environment and I knew within minutes I couldn’t have chosen a better sitter. Thank you Brian for the extra love you gave our to our very important family member and communicating every step of the way. You really put our minds at ease dropping Mason off there. I’ll be calling you soon for the next stay!”

“This was Sydney’s first time going to daycare through Rover, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Patrik and Grisham was so sweet, welcoming, and attentive, right from the start I felt like Sydney was in great hands. They sent me updates and photos throughout the day, which totally put my mind at ease (especially because I’m a total helicopter dog mom). Sydney is my little shadow and can be picky about new environments, but she did so well here. That says a lot about the energy and care she was surrounded by. The dogs she was with were playful and friendly, and the host made sure everyone got along. It was clear that Sydney felt safe, happy, and comfortable. I truly appreciate how communicative and kind the host was, I’ll definitely be booking again. If you’re looking for someone who will care for your pup like their own, this is the one! :)”

“She take such good care of Henry. I felt very comfortable leave him there. She would sent pictures and videos helping me at ease. I would definitely ask her to dog sit again. Highly recommended!”

“"I couldn’t be more grateful for the care my dogs received! I have a special needs dog with separation anxiety, and she was incredibly understanding and patient, working with his specific needs. She made sure he felt safe and comfortable throughout her time with him. She was also amazing with my energetic puppy, keeping him entertained and engaged. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the well-being of the dogs she sits for. Highly recommend!"”

“Best dog care experience I have ever had! Blueberry was handled with the utmost professional care and exceeded my expectations. Vanson is so attentive to my dog's personal needs by ensuring she is given her treats I provided and following any instructions given. He has a wonderful backyard with sweet doggos of his own who are very playful and got along great with my dog. He ensures a wonderful experience for both my dog and myself. Took my dog on walks which I could see in the Rover app and sent pics throughout the day of my dog. Such peace of mind! My dog didn't even want to go home with me after having such a good time. Book with Vanson, you will not regret it!”

“Kylee was so good with Millie...we appreciate her so much for taking care of her while we were busy with our life...love all the pictures she took of her...seems like Millie is having a great time there and with their cute dog Dax! Thank you so much Kylee!!”

“Sylvia is amazing. She made my little pupster feel welcome from the start I immediately felt like I could trust her with the love of my life. She sent lots of photos and updates on his first day of daycare My furbaby seemed to have enjoyed himself. Looking forward to booking with Sylvia again very soon”

“My dog spent the day at Lupe’s today and left happy. Lupe had great hospitality. She gave me a little tour of where my dog would be spending his time and asked questions about his needs/personality when I dropped him off. The indoor area is very specious and has a gate to separate some dogs from others based on temperament. My dog was showing signs of possessiveness over his toy so she was proactive about giving him his own space away from the other dogs. She said when the dogs weren’t outside playing he chose to spend his time right next to her while she worked. Lupe sent pictures and gave a recap of how he played well outside with other dogs and was fed separately.”

About: Hi, I’m Cristal! Dogs have been a cherished part of my life for over 20 years and caring for them is truly one of my greatest joys. As a devoted dog mom myself, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your beloved family member in someone else’s care. My goal is to provide a safe and loving home where every dog feels happy and cared for like a vacation for them too. My husband and I treat each pup like my own with plenty of playtime and cuddles. When your dog stays with us, they’re not just a guest they’re family❤️ I’m currently a stay at home mom with a sweet toddler and two friendly Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, which means I’m home most days and able to provide lots of supervision, companionship, and care throughout the day. We have a large fenced yard where pups can safely run, play, and explore. They are welcome to come in and relax inside the house, stretch out on cozy beds, play with toys, and enjoy being part of our family’s daily routine. We also live next to a beautiful walking trail making it easy to give your pup plenty of exercise, fresh air and new smells to enjoy.
“Linda took wonderful care of Luke. It was a holiday and we needed a safe and kind environment for Luke. So relieved Linda was able to care for him. She shared photos and kept us updated. He was happy to enter and slept well that night! We would definitely use Linda’s services again. Highly recommend.”

“Miss Joanne was so kind and accommodating! She really made my puppy comfortable and worked on getting her socialized with her extremely friendly pets. She exudes a motherly vibe and you just feel you’re leaving your pet in great hands.”

“She was amazing to Bentley! He enjoyed his time there, she was very accommodating and comforting to him as he struggles with meeting new people at times. Giezell also gave me many updates and videos as Bentley was playing and having fun with the other dogs. She is 100% my go to sitter now!”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Birds Landing commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
