“Dian was absolutely amazing with my puppy, Daisy. 5 stars, if I could give her more I definitely would. She let me visit her when i wanted and immediately calmed my nerves. She’s so sweet and caring, just the type of person that you’d leave your dogs with. I highly recommend Dian, you will not be disappointed.”
“Bridget did a wonderful job watching River for us. We received lots of pictures, videos of him playing and running around the yard. Both her dogs are amazing and friendly. Definitely recommend her and will use her services again in future. Thanks River and family”
“Kirby had another great visit with Tom and Tolley! They always send pictures and/or videos. I never worry that he’s having a great time and being very well taken care of.”
“Apryl kept me updated with lots of pictures throughout my dog’s visit. She even took my dog for a hike! My dog was welcomed by Apryl’s entire family and I’m so thankful to have found her! Will definitely use again!”
“Wendy and Keith were incredibly kind, generous, and caring, treating our dogs as if they were their own. Their communication was outstanding, and we truly appreciated the frequent updates and photos that gave us peace of mind while we were away. It was clear how much love and attention they gave our pets, and we are so grateful for the care they provided. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, and dependable to care for their furry family members!”
“This was our first experience with Erin and we couldn’t be happier. She took great care of Cali, kept us updated throughout the day via text and pictures. She was very flexible in our pick up time due to the circumstances with not knowing exactly when we would be back. Prompt response to our texts. Will be taking Cali back for this weekend.”
“Absolutely amazing care and communication. Stella's stay was perfect. So so thankful we found this family. And Stella now has a new doggie best friend!”
“We were nervous for our first time having a dog sitter for our pup, but Christina was great! Very communicative and our little guy was well taken care of. I’d recommend her for sure.”
“I was a first time boarder and very worried about my rescue, very spoiled bichon poo, that only likes me. I took a chance on Annie and she was perfect! She was so patient with our boy. She sent me videos and photos during the 9 days and even made up the fresh chicken, kibble combo he eats. He loved her dog Cooper and I think really missed him when we got home. I will definitely be calling Annie again!”
“Hailey and Potato were wonderful hosts to our dogs, Marley and Luna. Luna is a bit shy and Luna was able to open uo and play with Potato. Hailey sent just enough photos and updates throughout the visit and was very accommodating with the scheduling. The girls came back extremely happy and had a wonderful time with their stay with Hailey. Her yard is perfect and she is very efficient with drop off and pickups. I would definitely have our girls stay with Hailey again!”
“Our dog was with Amanda and family for almost 3 weeks. I was worried because she sometimes has separation anxiety and thought she would not do well at a conventional boarding place. I made the right choice. Penny seemed very happy and well cared for in the pictures I received. They took amazing care of her and the children were able to play with her. The whole family was involved and Penny seemed to fit right in. I will definitely book with Amanda the next time we need to go away.”
“Robert watched Mia at his house overnight for a few nights. He has a great fenced in backyard, perfect for our pup to run and stretch her legs. Mia came back happy and tired out from her running vacation ? We would definitely use Robert again!”
“Amazing care for our sweet girl! They provided pictures and videos each day during her stay to take all our worries away and to rest assured she was content. Fantastic communication and very rapid response to any inquiry. Fiona misses Kathy and Jim already, but will be back soon. Thank you to you both!”
“We found Cynthia and Tim because their location was convenient for our activities around Ohio's Lake Erie islands, but we also found their home to be a great place for our pups to hang out. The pups got lake side walks in their safe and charming community. (We are considering making their Lakeside community a destination for ourselves.) We are grateful for Cynthia and Tim's flexibility in scheduling as well. We will definitely call them next time we're in the area!”
“Sabrina is absolutely fantastic! She took excellent care of my dog, followed all feeding and care instructions perfectly, and kept me updated the whole time. I received daily photos updates, and it was so comforting to see my pup playing and settling in perfectly. Highly recommend to anyone in the Avon Lake area”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Lea and her boyfriend Sasha! They truly had the best communication we’ve ever had with anyone on Rover. They’re an incredibly nice couple, and we felt completely comfortable knowing Charlie was in such great hands all weekend. They kept him active with tons of walks and gave him plenty of attention. We could tell he’d been very happy and well cared for while we were gone. We couldn’t recommend Lea and Sasha more and will absolutely be using them again!!!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Beulah Beach home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Beulah Beach.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Beulah Beach sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
