“Christopher took great care of my dog and sent lots of pictures. I had a water leak a couple days before I was leaving and was great about being there for maintenance to come while I was gone”
“My 2 English Setters are my family. One can be a finicky eater, a bit of a challenge that way, so I was really meticulous in the meal planning for the 2 1/2 wks we were gone. Wes followed my instructions just great ! I came home to the same happy, healthy dogs I entrusted to his care. I really appreciate the daily updates. Put my mind at ease so I could relax and enjoy my vacation. Thanks, Wes !”

“McKenna was amazing! This was my first time leaving my pups home for the weekend and having someone come house sit. McKenna helped put my mind at ease when we did the meet and greet. One of my pups left an unexpected surprise (my pup threw a tantrum and destroyed a furniture) for McKenna and she was so nice and cleaned it up for me. I came home to happy pups and I would recommend her. I’d have her back!”

“Whitney was very communicative while we were away, sharing photos of our dogs with us. They were very comfortable with her, which really put us at ease while we were on vacation. She took excellent care of the house as well. I will definitely call Whitney for any future care needs - and I would recommend her highly to anyone! Thank you, Whitney!”

“Laurel was an outstanding house and pet sitter. She communicated exceptionally well throughout her stay and regularly sent photos and updates, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. She was always responsive, professional, and easy to work with. It was clear that she genuinely cared for my Boston Terrier and home as if they were her own. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely hire her again in the future. Highly recommended!”

“Great communication. Our Great Weimaremer, Hugo, who can be discerning around men, loved Phillip. At the meet and greet Hugo was ready to go home with him! ;>) Everything left neat and tidy and animals were well-cared for.”

“Alyssa cared for our cat, Mocha, for two days and stayed overnight at our home. This was our first time leaving Mocha for an extended period and using a cat sitter, so we were a little nervous but Alyssa put our minds at ease. It was clear that Mocha was comfortable with her—she continued eating, playing, and sleeping normally throughout the weekend. She even seemed to enjoy some in-depth conversations with Alyssa! We received regular updates and photos, which helped us feel connected and reassured while we were away. Alyssa also left our home neat and tidy. Overall, she did a fantastic job caring for both Mocha and our house. We would book with Alyssa again and recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.”

About: I am a remote worker with extra time available. I grew up with labs and Shih Tzus as well as cats. I've been dog sitting for the past 8 years and have done volunteer camps at the Willamette Humane Society. I am pretty flexible this summer for house sitting, dog walking, or drop ins. I can feed, walk, play with, cuddle, or even bathe your dog! I'm an animal lover and would be fine with other pets at the house, too. Watching and caring for dogs, cats or other pets is something I love to do on its own, aside from it being a "job." This would be a great way to spend my time. I am currently working part time, so will have time most days for drop ins, walks, etc. I am also available some weekends, as well. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats at home. If your pet is friendly, then it could be an option for them to come stay at my house.
“My experience with Melody was fantastic she went above and beyond, truly the best pet sitting experience I have had. This was a super last minute booking after my previous sitter cancelled and she responded immediately and was willing to take over and show up instantly. She was super communicative and made me feel very comfortable, even going as far as giving me updates when she was leaving the house for less than 30 minutes. Not only did she send plenty of adorable photos of my cats but she cleaned up as well leaving my house in better shape than I left it. I would recommend Melody in a heartbeat she is the best.”

“Wow! Alex was wonderful. Communicative, respectful, left our house nest and tidy and took such good care of our pets. I hope we get to work with her again and feel blessed to have found her.”

“Deborah did an awesome job with our little mini dashund for a 5 day trip. She was appropriately communicative so we didn't have to worry about our little dude and he was very well cared for, as was the house!”

“An incredibly effective and quick communicator. She pays close attention to the dogs’ routines and remembers all the important details. We always receive photos while we’re away, which gives us great peace of mind. She also takes wonderful care of our home. Highly recommend!”

“Natalya was attentive and gave exceptional care. She administered supplements, kept feeding time schedules, and took time for outdoor activities. We appreciated her communication and pictures. We will definitely schedule her for upcoming care. Thank you, Natalya for giving us a peace of mind. :-)))”

“When we get home from a trip, we can hardly tell Malissa was even here. House looks just as it was left and animals all well taken care of. You can tell how much she loves them.”

“Erica was fantastic as always, our girl loves her and her daughter! She is very communicative of everything going on and I appreciate the pics she sends when we are away.”

“Five stars doesn’t seem like enough to give Aoife! Aoife is truly an animal whisperer and your furry family members will be in excellent hands. We have a deep trauma rescue dog (Lily), a geriatric rescue dog with quirks/meds, and a 9 mos old kitten. Aoife provided extraordinary care, love, and attention to each one of them. We were most nervous about leaving Lily, but she absolutely thrived with Aoife. Not only did Lily thrive, but Aoife noticed anxiety triggers and found solutions that we hadn’t even figured out. We came home to happy and content furries and the entire family is looking forward to having Aoife visit again soon! Thank you, Aoife!!!”
“Outstanding! Kelly is professional and caring. We have 2 Boxers and not everyone can handle their quirks and their strength but she handled them beautifully and we felt confident they were in great hands. She left our home spotless and we had 2 happy pups when we arrived home. We highly recommend Kelly!”

“Morgan was great. She spent the weekend with George and our home. It was great to relax and George and the house were taken care of. We got daily pictures that really put us at ease!”

“Sue did an amazing job with our 3 dogs and 2 cats. Even our skittish cat spent the whole weekend snuggled with her. Will definitely use again.”

“ErinW🐕 was fabulous! She was patient and wonderful with my two senior girls Gemma & Loretta. Loretta is blind & needs extra attention.I was happy to hear updates, jealous of the fun they were having❣️I will definately be using ErinW again💕”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 943 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Bethel Heights. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bethel Heights walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bethel Heights maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bethel Heights choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bethel Heights. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 88% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
