About: I have had a love for dogs since I was a child. I was the kid who used to knock on doors in the neighborhood asking if I could play with their dogs as I couldn't have my own at the time. Since then I have become a life-long "dog-mom" with over 20 years of loving care given to my own dogs (and cats and horses and goats). I have worked in a veterinary hospital where I learned a lot about caring for the canines and during that time I also had my own business as a Puppy Kindergarten instructor. I have managed an animal shelter, working closely with rescue organizations and all of the dogs I have had were either strays or rescues. One of the strays that came into my life was Dekes and we got involved with "Dock Dogs" with his best jump being 24' 4". Unfortunately I also had to nurse all my dogs through their old age, cancer and various other ailments and find myself currently without a dog to spoil. I would love to take care of yours as I miss having those cold noses and fur balls in my life. Please know that my schedule with my job is such that I work both from home and in the office throughout the week. I am blessed to have a fairly flexible work schedule but would not be able to be in your home with your dog during work hours. Though I do have a full time job, I am fortunate to have a fairly flexible schedule. And on the weekends its just me as I dont have children. I would be extremely safe with your pet and make sure that at all times they are supervised when with me. I have a fenced yard myself and may be able to have them with me during the days I work from home.

About: I grew up surrounded by kittens and cats! My grandma and mom were crazy cat ladies lol. I have a Siamese cat named Mochi! I rescued him as a kitten. He was found in a trash can covered in fleas, worms, and could barely keep his eyes open from excessive mucus. I spent every 5 minutes cleaning his eyes, treated his fleas/worms, showed him love, and trained him. He’s now an indoor kitty and he will be loved for the rest of his life! “If I could give 10 stars I would. I’m new to the area and having an anxious dog going through some major changes has been challenging. The first night Mickenzie came over to let him out, Beanie wouldn’t let her touch him and growled the whole time. He wouldn’t even eat a treat that she left in front of him on the couch! Mickenzie was gentle, patient, and communicative through the entire process. The following day she agreed to come out on her own time to meet beanie with me and let him get more acquainted in a safe space with mom. She was kind and understanding even as he barked and growled at her throughout the visit. That night she came back to try again. She took her time, was able to connect, Beanie let her pet him, pick him up, and put a harness on. She was able to let him out to the bathroom and get him back in without any issue other than the time and patience it took from her. Mickenzie is excellent. I HIGHLY recommend her especially for those who are anxious leaving their babies in the care of someone they don’t know. I’m so grateful and will continue to use her as often as possible. About: I have experience working with all sizes and manors of dogs. I have pet sat for years, and have cared for dogs, cats, fish, plants and more. I walk several reactive dogs back in California, one exceeding 50 pounds. I am excited to meet the dogs of the area!! I work most weekdays, but my afternoon and evenings are usually free. I usually don’t have plans on the weekends. I will begin school in the fall. I can walk the dogs, play ball or even just give them some pets. When we arrived, he took the time to give me a tour and patiently answered all of my questions. The multiple levels of fenced kennel runs with bark chips were very well done, and it gave me such peace of mind knowing that both of my Weimaraners were safe and secure. In addition, we aren't able to pick them up until 6pm. Our pups come home exhausted! This is a must since we don't have the energy to run them around after a 12 hour day. She sends tons of great pictures showing happy pups. When she watches your dogs you can rest assured that she is "watching" your dogs. What makes Jennifer great is the attention and love she gives your dog. She's also very affordable. We considered doggie day care, but quickly realized that was a very expensive avenue. Also, most doggie daycare places aren't as flexible with pick-up and drop off times. you won't be disappointed!”

About: I’ve owned cats all my life, and a few dogs. I have experience volunteering at a local animal shelter, working with both cats and dogs when I was younger . I have a 4H background as well. We adopted our dog Frida 2 years ago. I’m a stay at home, homeschooling mom with a flexible schedule. We are home often and already own a dog. It's not much more work to add one or two into the mix. My kids love dogs and enjoy meeting new ones. We all love that owning dogs helps us to be outside more, either playing with the dogs or taking them on walks. About: I was born and raised on a ranch caring for many types of animals. I have extended my background from cows, horses and sheep to training, breeding and so much more with dogs. I am respectful, patient and have an overall love for every animal! I am currently a stay at home mom and looking for other work when I stumbled upon Rover. I love animals and am very excited at the chance to be around them more! I have a fenced yard and my own dog as well who gets along great with everyone. I have crates if needed and a park very close to run some energy out!
About: I have grown up being surrounded by dogs! My dad always had dogs in our home. I raised my pitbull/lab mixed breed dog Nala from when I was the age of Ten until she passed away when I was 21 years old. She taught me a lot about being a pet owner as well as a person! She was my best friend🤍 I am a very active, responsible, and empathetic person! I enjoy being outdoors going on long walks, hikes, and runs! I’m always down for a furry friend to tag along :) My current work schedule is 6am to 6pm Sunday through Tuesday :) I am available throughout the week on my days off for some pet care! About: I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and small animals for over 5 years and have hands-on experience with large breeds, working dogs, reactive dogs, and high-energy personalities. I currently own German Shepherds as well as two chinchillas, so I understand the importance of species-specific care, structure, enrichment, and maintaining a safe environment. I’m comfortable with crate routines, medication administration, basic training reinforcement, long walks, litter box care, feeding routines, and reading animal body language. My professional background in high-stress environments has also made me calm, dependable, detail-oriented, and communicative. I know how important trust is when leaving your pets with someone else, and I treat every animal like they’re my own. I currently work full-time during the week, but I’m still able to provide dependable drop-in care and quality engagement for pets. I’m available for evening drop-in visits during the weekdays and can provide up to two visits per day on weekends. During visits, I focus on more than just feeding and potty breaks — I make sure pets receive attention, enrichment, playtime, affection, and companionship so they feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I’m especially attentive to routines, behavioral cues, and making animals feel safe and relaxed in their home environment. Safety, structure, and trust are extremely important to me when caring for animals. I have experience with large breeds, reactive dogs, cats, and small animals, so I understand the importance of reading body language, respecting boundaries, and maintaining calm, controlled interactions. I follow all owner instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medication routines, crate rotations, leash handling, and household rules. I prioritize secure handling during walks and visits, double-check doors, gates, harnesses, and crates, and always aim to create a calm and positive environment for pets. About: Caring for animals has always been a passion of mine, alongside childcare. I love all animals, and would love to meet and care for your furry babies as well! We have cared and house sat for many of my friends and families animals while they have been away. I also have experience from growing up with two pugs. David has experience from growing up with two Golden Retrievers. We have had experience administering meds, feeding, bathing, walking, and taking to vet appointments. Willing to help out and do what it takes to keep your furry babies happy and loved! We also currently have two cats of our own, a 16 year old Pug, and two crested geckos. We are adaptable to many different situations and animals of all kinds. I’m currently in a hybrid position which gives me some flexibility on working from home. I am happy to stop by and do a check in on my lunches. I get off work by 4 PM and can stop by after work. I am also available weekends and holiday breaks as I usually have those off. David is currently able to stop by anytime that I am not available which makes us a powerful care team! ☺️ We love to meet and greet in the families home to see what their daily environmental safety looks like. About: Hello! My husband and I are newer to the Salem area, but I am not new to animals. I grew up with dogs and cats my entire life, and I have been a certified vet tech since 2015, working professionally with animals since 2009. I have 5+ years experience in emergency medicine, I know how to administer medications, and have worked with dogs and cats of numerous breeds, sizes, and ages. I also have some experience working with other animals such as rabbits, mice, rats, hamsters, some reptiles and fish. I am working full time hours 3-4 days a week currently, but can be available for drop-in visits as well as overnight stays. On work days I am available early mornings and later evenings, and as long as you are comfortable, my husband can fill in the hours I am not available. I like to give pets the attention they need. I follow directions very well, and am very attentive to detail. I can also offer basic grooming services such as nail trims, ear flushing, and baths (all pending temperament of the pet). I feel confident administering any medications as prescribed by a veterinarian or over the counter.
