We’re a dog-loving family offering a comfortable, loving, home-away-from-home experience for your fur babies. My partner and I both share a genuine love for animals, and we want every dog in our care to feel safe, happy, and right at home. We have a spacious 2,500-square-foot home with a finished basement that provides extra room and flexibility for our furry guests. We also have a half-acre yard for outdoor time (currently unfenced, so all outdoor potty breaks are supervised and on leash). Our two resident dogs are Sophia, our 50-pound mixed breed, and Chowder, our 20-pound French bulldog. We understand that every dog has their own personality, preferences, and comfort level, so we take introductions at the dogs’ pace and make sure everyone has space to relax when needed. In our home, your dog is welcome to be part of the family! 🛋️🐶 We’re not a strict, no-furniture household. If your pup loves curling up on the couch, they’re welcome to join us. And if they’re used to sleeping in bed with their humans, they’re welcome to snuggle up with me, too! We want them to enjoy the familiar comforts they love at home. We aim to keep your dog’s routine as consistent as possible, including meals, potty breaks, playtime, rest, and plenty of affection. We’ll follow your instructions and do our best to make their stay as stress-free as possible. We’re also happy to send photo updates so you can see how your best friend is doing while you’re away. ❤️ We know leaving your pet with someone new takes trust. About: Dogs and I understand each other. I've always gotten them and they've always gotten me. Maybe because I grew up with three mammoth Samoyeds and Malamutes, and shared my life with Max, my sweet Cavalier, until he passed. Beyond love and care, I'm good at training and socializing, and dogs respond to my calm, confident leadership. I once cared for a reactive dog who barked at everyone who came near her, and I was the only one who could get her to settle and listen. After a month with a young Portuguese Water Dog, her owners told me she moped after I left. But mostly I think dogs feel good around me because they sense I genuinely care about them. I believe dogs are here to teach us to love and I want every dog to experience great care. For me, good dog care starts with getting to know the dog and the people who love them. I think dogs feel safest when their sitter truly knows them. Before any stay, I like to meet you and your dog, take a short walk together, and learn the little things that make your dog feel at home. That's why every stay begins with a meet and greet. What I offer that's different: - Pick-up and drop-off for longer stays: For stays of a week or more, I'll pick up and drop off your dog anywhere within a 30 minute drive of Dalton, including Lenox, Stockbridge, and Great Barrington. One less thing to manage before your trip. My home is calm and quiet, with a large, fully fenced backyard on a peaceful street in Dalton. I work from home, so your dog has company through the day, plus walks, play, and plenty of affection. I follow your instructions to the letter so your dog's routine stays as close to home as possible, and you'll get photos and a quick update every day so you can relax and enjoy your trip. Also happy to reinforce any training your dog is working on like leash manners. How I work: Every new client starts with a meet and greet, about 30 minutes with a short walk together, so your dog and I can meet before the stay. It helps make sure we're a great match, and your dog arrives already knowing a friendly face. Boarding in my home is a great fit if your dog: Settles comfortably for stretches after the initial sniffing and cuddles to get used to a new space. Is house-trained and walks well on a leash Is not a heavy shedder or super vocal Services Boarding: 2-night minimum House sitting: 2- night minimum, 2 night maximum for first sit I'd love to hear about your dog! I work from home so your dog will have plenty of companionship and attention from morning to evening. I usually walk dogs according to the schedule they are used to. In between, they can hang with me. IFeeding times will also coincide with your instructions. I'm an early riser so you are welcome to drop your dog off (with notice) as early as 7:30 am. I have a large three bedroom home with an huge fenced back yard on a quiet street near trails. It's single floor so no stairs for older dogs to contend with.

About: I've grown up with dogs & cats. I am very involved in rescuing & fostering & have plenty of experience with all sizes, ages, temperaments & am experienced with most medical issues/medicating regimens. My schedule for work is Monday- Friday 7:30-4 pm. I'm available from 5-10 pm weekdays for drop ins and walks. I have open availability for weekends to house sit, go on walks and do drop in visits. I am currently in the process of relocating to New Hampshire permanently. I work full time Monday through Friday and offer pet care on evenings during the weekday, and full time on weekends :) I'm experienced with providing care for difficult dogs and cats and have no issues being able to give medications.

About: I grew up with 2 dogs and 2 cats. My family was part of helping a farm when i was little, I got to take care of ducks. They were so cute. I love animals and let me know if you had questions. In my absence, however, Christine eased her way into Suki’s territory by setting the right balance between showing her some quiet attention and giving her the time and space she needed to adjust and come out of her shell. The photos Christine sent me proved that once she had won Suki over, the little kitty was her sweet, affectionate self and the two of them had a delightful time together! I also just want to add that our love for dogs extends to all animals so cats etc are all welcome to come hang with us :) Important Note: if you are reaching out for house sitting my husband and I only take those if we both are allowed to stay the night. We prefer to do this for safety as well as enabling the best care possible for your pet. Your pets will be my top priority & my main focus when they stay with us! I feel pretty confident that they will get more quality time, attention & lovin with me then any other pet sitter! I have a smoke free home and do not have any dogs currently living at my house so your pets will be my only focus! Also a child free home!
