As always, Ellie did a fantastic job taking care of my boys. She accepted my request on short notice and still showed up with a smile, plenty of pets, and was paid with oodles of slobbery kisses. We are so grateful for her!

Meg came to meet our dog for the first time and it was a very successful experience. We are grateful for her flexibility and enthusiasm and we all enjoyed our time with her. We are having Meg come walk Creed while we are away and feel very comfortable with the arrangement. We highly recommend her already!!

McKenna had amazing communication while we were away which helped a lot. My cat is a handful but they became best buddies by the end of the booking. So happy with how she ensure he was well taken care of and gave updates on how he was doing. I appreciated all she did for our cat while we were gone. We got back to a very happy cat and home!

Catarina went above and beyond caring for our 12 year old dog, Seve. She is a dog whisperer and he warmed up to her so quickly. Even on rainy days she entertained him with games—it was like he got a full doggy daycare experience! Will definitely be using her a lot in the future!

About: I’ve constantly been surrounded by all kinds of animals throughout my life. I especially love cats as I have 2 of my own but will spread the love to even reptiles! My past experience includes years of dog sitting for a family friend, for stays up to 2 weeks long. The dogs were also older so I had to accommodate their needs as well. I walked, fed, pet, and played with them all while maintaining as similar of a schedule that I could for their comfort. I am unemployed until the summer, when I will be working full-time, so I’m constantly home! My cats are fed around the clock three different times so I’m here for that. I just go to classes for a few hours in the middle of the day and come right home. I am a student who lives in a 2 bedroom apartment with my boyfriend so we have a spare room to cater towards your fur baby in our space. For client’s homes, I always follow instructions given to provide the utmost comfort and familiarity for your pet.

Mackena was the only one to get my dog to eat while I was away for 4 days. My mom (who watches her regularly) and another dog sitter couldn’t get her to eat. I think she was stressed. Mackena went out and bought new dog food which my dog ate! She even told me not to worry about the extra cost. Her response ‘I’m just happy to help’. She is definitely my go to!

About: Hi! My name is Mikayla, and I have a lifelong passion for animals and their care. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every dog in my care with the same love, patience, and attention I would give my own. I have experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. In addition to pet sitting and daily care, I work with dogs on basic obedience and agility training using positive reinforcement methods. I enjoy helping dogs build confidence, learn good manners, and have fun while staying active. I also provide dog grooming services on the side, which has given me experience handling dogs in a calm, safe, and patient manner. Because of my grooming background, I am comfortable recognizing when a dog may be stressed, anxious, or in need of extra care and attention. Whether your pet enjoys walks, playtime, training, cuddles, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I will make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I believe every pet deserves individualized care, and I strive to make their time with me as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. Why Pet Parents Choose Me 🐾 Experience with dogs of all sizes and breeds 🐾 Basic obedience and agility training experience 🐾 Dog grooming experience 🐾 Patient, calm, and reliable care 🐾 Regular photo and text updates 🐾 Plenty of exercise, enrichment, and attention 🐾 Treat every pet like family I have trained dogs and love being around them and want others to be doing there normal life and have there pet in good hands I will always make sure to have the client make sure I know what I'm doing before they go and I feed my dogs train every day so I know how to do things and make it the beat experience I can

About: Nestled in the quiet countryside, I offer loving, in-home boarding for dogs and cats in a peaceful, natural setting. With plenty of fresh air, daily walks, and attentive care, your pets are treated like family while they’re away from home. Able to care for animals at all stages in their life. I love taking long walks with canine companions! Your dogs will not be unleashed on a walk unless your specify! A client’s cat or dog fits naturally into my daily routine because their care is built around their needs, not a rigid schedule. Each day follows a calm, predictable flow—morning feedings, medications if needed, fresh air, walks or supervised outdoor time for dogs, and quiet check-ins or play for cats—mirroring what they’re used to at home as closely as possible. Throughout the day, I weave in one-on-one attention, enrichment, rest, and observation, so pets aren’t just “fit in,” but thoughtfully included in a rhythm that keeps them comfortable, engaged, and well cared for from morning to night. Tailoring your services starts with seeing each pet as an individual, not a “one-size-fits-all” guest. Begin with a detailed intake or meet-and-greet to learn the pet’s routine, personality, energy level, medical needs, fears, and preferences. From there, you can adjust care in a few key ways: • Routine-based care: Match feeding times, walk schedules, playtime, and sleep habits as closely as possible to what the pet is used to at home. • Personality-aware handling: Offer extra quiet and space for shy or senior pets, more structured play and exercise for high-energy dogs, and gentle, low-stress interactions for anxious animals. • Health-focused support: Follow specific instructions for medications, mobility limits, special diets, or senior care, and keep careful notes so nothing is missed. • Environment choices: Decide whether a pet thrives with social interaction or prefers solo time, indoor lounging, or outdoor exploration in your country setting.

About: I really care about the animals that I interact with and they light up my world a little too at the same time. 🙂 🐕 & 🐈 It is a part-time job I am looking to make full-time. I have very little work right now, but I am looking to change that. I always make sure they are in view. I try and make sure they have a safe environment with plenty of toys and treats if allowed.

About: I grew up in a family that always had dogs, ranging from small dogs (like Chihuahuas) to big dogs (like German Wirehairs). As a child, I took on dog training experience through my local 4-H group and pursued that for a large portion of my early education career. Since then, I have always been a lover of dogs and have taken on many responsibilities, not only for my family dogs, but for my roommate’s dogs as well. Any care and love your dog needs, I would be happy to provide it! I’m available for pet care during the week and on weekends. Whether you need drop-in visits or overnight home stays, I’m happy to help, just please be sure to book in advance so I can plan accordingly! I kindly ask for at least one day’s notice for cancellations. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry friend! Please note: I do not offer dog care in my own home as I live in an apartment. However, I’m happy to provide in-home care at your residence for both dogs and cats! For dogs, I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, including regular walks, outdoor playtime (at a nearby dog park or fenced yard), and bathroom breaks every 30–60 minutes based on their needs. I’m also happy to follow any specific instructions you provide to keep your pup happy and comfortable. For cats, I offer attentive and respectful care, feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime, and affection (if your cat is the cuddly type!). I understand feline behavior and know how to give them the space or snuggles they prefer. Whatever your pet needs, I’m here to help while keeping their routine as stress-free as possible!

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Belmont stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
