“Lauren is amazing. My furbabies love her. From the moment my animals met her I knew she was perfect. It made me feel safe when she sent pics of my babies and they looked so happy. Looking forward to using her again.”

“Absolutely wonderful. She goes above and beyond for our pets, and if I could afford to ship her to Florida to watch our fur babies when we move I would. 10000/10 best sitter, and we will miss her so much. ❤️”

“Karen is an amazing pet sitter. My girls love her and somehow my male cat always horns in on the action when he hears Karen is around handing out treats! LOL We have used her for years while I was working full time and less often now that I am retired. I was so happy to discover her still on Rover! I have missed a lot of trips that I could have gone on because I don’t trust just anyone with my fur babies. No more since I now have Karen! Yea! Thank you Karen!”

About: I have grown up with big dogs since I was little as well as 2 cats! I’ve been with huskies and pomskies as well as labradors and shepherd dogs! I can take care of high energy and low energy dogs! I love cats as well! I know their temperament and how to approach them! My friends have had pit bulls which I do not discriminate against! I have helped with raising puppies and taking care of sick dogs, I promise to treat your pet with the utmost respect and care as if they were my own child! I am working part time at Starbucks and I work on Wednesday’s Thursday's and Sunday's, other than that I have morning classing Monday-Friday and I am good! I do online school so my schedule is very flexible for leaving in the mornings, and sometimes afternoons! At my home we have a big back yard and it is fenced in, we let our animals inside the house as well as outside, I don’t do pet care in my home because we have 4 big dogs and two cats and that would just be stressful on our dogs and cats as well as the dogs or cats I’m taking care of!
“Shyann R Took care of my eight month old golden retriever Luna. She could be a handful at times, but she was great with her fed her at the same time every day. She also played with her to runoff some of the built-up energy, sent me pictures and videos every day. I will definitely be using her again in the future when I need a sitter.”

“Karli was great with our two large, energetic Labs and our horse! Karli dropped in to care for our fur babies while we were away and she did an excellent job. She followed our requests for feeding, sent pics and everyone was happy when we got back home. Karli was professional and always on time. We trusted Karli with our home and our pets and she did a great job. It was a great relief to know everything was in good hands. We highly recommend Karli as a pet sitter and will be booking with her again in the future.”
“Rita was great! She came by for 4 days to feed my cat, clean her litter, and play with her. During these drop in visits she sent my photos and I could see that she was taking great care of my cat. She was super accommodating before. She came by for a meet and greet first, then she even came by to pick up my key as I forgot to make one for her ahead of time. I'll definitely rebook the next time I go on vacation!”
“Jennifer is dependable, reliable, and professional. Felix really likes her and she is good with him and to him. Jennifer left our home neat and cleaned up (cat dishes, litter box etc) and followed all instructions. I highly recommend Jennifer and Felix will see her again, I am am sure! Thank you Jennifer!!”

About: People laugh when I say "dogs are my only friends." Started in 2022, I never imagined this would become my full time job. Ive grown up around animals my entire life, from horses, cows, chickens, goats, fish, dogs and cats, so its truly an honor to be able to pursue something I love and care for so deeply. I have lots of experience in specialized care, from potty training, to senior care. My goal is to always make the dogs feels like home, and ensuring small controlled environments for a stress free stay, all while building their confidence, to maintain a happy healthy dog. I live on an acre fenced in with 5ft high piped fence all the way around. The yard is very secure. There is lots of room for dogs to explore and play. The property is shaded by a variety of trees. We have a mini swimming pool setup to cool the paws off during the hot summer months. We have a large concreted shaded porch. It is very cozy and welcoming. I do this full time as mentioned above, so I am around dogs pretty much 24/7, but some other passions I have is gardening. When you pull up to the property during spring and summer you will see that I have flowers hanging on every post on the porch. I also have a garden in the back fenced off from the dogs that I tend too. We also have chickens! (Dont worry they are completely safe and fenced in from the dogs and any other predator that would want to reach them.) I am licensed and insured as well as Pet CPR/First Aid certified. Some services I offer: In my home: Daycare and overnight pet sitting. At your home: Drop in Care. Please reach out to me if you have any questions! I do pet daycare and boarding full time. So you can imagine just how much of my daily life is revolved around dogs. I spend a majority of my days with them. I have a fenced secure yard, 5ft tall piped fence all the way around. My goal for in home sitting is to try and keep their routine the same as much as possible. We also have cameras setup and if we’re not at the home, the dogs are still monitored.

“Brooke took very good care of my babies. She took them for a fun hike, played with them and gave lots of belly rubs! My dogs loved Brooke and I appreciated her friendly personality and the many photo updates I received.”
“Abigail was great with our two boys and also took good care of our house while we were out of town. She was reliably prompt and sent great pictures for each visit! One day when Sly was "missing" she reached out to us to ask about hiding spots, and sure enough Sly was being sly :)”

“Daniel is a wonderful person who loves my pups like his own. I never worry about them when I know he's checking on them. He is so dependable! Thank you Daniel!”

About: I absolutely love dogs, and will treat your baby like mine. I got into this because finding good care for my dog is such a stressful experience as my tolerance for risk is extremely low. I am a nervous dog mom and will care for your pets like they are my own, they will be safe and secure with me and you will get as many updates as you would like. I’m available for boarding on the weekends as well as from Tuesday- Wednesday night. I work in ABQ as well so if you need someone to stay at your house during the week while you are on vacation I am happy to do that as well. In clients home I want to make sure I have a good understanding of their routine and behavior. Having a high level overview of your dog will help me care for them. A former roommates dog had a thing for people on skateboards so when we were on walks, I knew I needed to hold him tight as they were passing. Understanding your dogs quirks will help me care for them.
“Laurie was great with our dog. She was very attentive and made sure to keep us informed of everything that was going on during her visit visits. I would definitely use her again. Our dog is very timid and scared and she did everything she could to make sure he was comfortable while we were gone.”

“"Kat" B. provided an incredible experience when she took care of my two cats and the house. The cats loved spending time with her, and she followed all the instructions and did extra tasks without being asked. The "Kat" has the special animal magic due to her knowledge and experiences with a diverse population of animals!. I would not hesitate to contact her to take care of your pets. You will be happy with what she can provide for your most important family members. Thank you for all you did Kat, and I look forward to seeing you again.”

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Belen. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
