“Mikki was the best! Our pets were well taken care of, our house was cleaner than we left it, and we received communication and updates daily. Absolutely would recommend and will book with again!”

About: I currently have two dogs of my own. I've had pets my entire life. I had dogs and cats growing up but I'm allergic to cats so I don't have any now. I had guinea pigs at one point as well. I love animals more than I can put into words. I like animals better than I like people. 🤷♀️ I dog sit for my sister and roommate all the time. I’m new to the Rover community so I’m definitely looking for long term and repeat clients! I’m open to all inquiries. I’m new to the Rover community so I’m definitely looking for long term and repeat clients. I am flexible and available on weekends. I prefer drop ins and day time visits. I'm not sure my exact schedule yet. I'm open to all inquiries. I'll need your instructions and details on how best to care for your babies. The more direction you can give me, the better. Within reason obviously. I love animals and I will take care of yours to the best of my ability.
“Lauren was AMAZING!! One of my dogs can be a little timid with new people and she barked for maybe 10 seconds which was so insane to me. Her communication was amazing, the dogs absolutely loved her and she even made me ornaments with my pups paw prints on them!! 10/10 will be using her anytime my pups need a sitter!🤍”

About: I’ve always loved animals and have experience caring for dogs and cats with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. Through being closely involved with my partner’s pet grooming career, I’ve learned a lot about dog behavior, handling, and helping pets feel comfortable and secure. I’m dependable, patient, and treat every pet like family. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I already spend a lot of time caring for my own dog and maintaining a pet-friendly environment. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, feeding, and attention throughout the day. I also prioritize keeping pets on their normal routines as much as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. I always prioritize safety, patience, and making pets feel comfortable in their environment. I pay close attention to routines, feeding instructions, leash safety, stress signals, and each pet’s individual needs and personality. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pet, so I provide regular updates and photos to help owners feel reassured while they’re away.
“I needed a dog sitter last minute after a cancellation. She was on time, caring, responsive. Sent me several pictures and kept me updated. It was a great experience. Will definitely book again!”

About: I’ve taken care of multiple dogs at a time for 10+ years now. Currently we have four dogs and two cats that are very happy I’m working from home, so they rarely have to be alone. Experienced with the extra care required by medically needy dogs and senior dogs, as I helped the Cheatham County shelter with theirs for a few years. Working from home affords me the opportunity to spend nearly 24/7 with either my own pets, or yours! Happy to work with whatever schedule your pets are used to. In my home I have a fenced yard. Will only board one dog at a time, things get a little cramped past that! In your home, I would be working remotely and therefore present for your pets most of the time. I may make a midday run to let my own dogs out, but largely my wife will take over care of our own dogs while I’m looking after yours. I want you to know someone is there taking care of your babies! I send lots of pictures.
About: I will treat your pet like family and make sure they are happy and well taken care of. I want to be someone you and your pet can rely on. I’ve dog/cat/house sat for many people many times and I’ve built a connection with each human and animal different than any other. I work as a caretaker, so I’m available at different times, but it’s flexible. Right now, I would be available for 3 visits a day and would only be away from the house during house sitting about 4 hours a day. When caring for a pet, I try to read their expressions to understand what they need/want. I will keep them entertained when they want to play and leave them alone when they want to be left alone. I will make sure they’re safe and happy. I like to walk, play, relax, talk with any pet I’m with.

About: For as long as I can remember I’ve loved and been around animals. I grew up with Boston terriers and frenchies and have loved every minute. I am so passionate about all things animals. I grew up volunteering at my local vet and farm any opportunity I had. In high school, I worked primarily caring for horses and dogs. In school I studied animal science (large, small, and vet science). Since graduating high school I’ve found a passion for dog grooming. I’ve been in the grooming world for about a year and a half now. I’m currently working as a groomer. I’m finding I am really good at and enjoy working with seniors and puppies. I have a Boston terrier of my own and she is my world. I’m working as a certified dog groomer currently. In brief, I live, laugh, love dogs or eat sleep breathe dog hair, but I love it. I’m very familiar with most common ailments. I’m safety certified. In my personal home, my dog’s bowl is cleaned every other day if not every day, she’s fed fresh food and filtered water, she is walked daily, and probably has a million toys she’ll never even touch. I would truly do anything for my dog and anytime I’m entrusted with anyone else’s dog whether it be at work or at home or wherever I hold myself to that same standard of care.

“Mia is the best! Not only did she help me out last minute but my pup had some unexpected medical issues pop up right before the stay and she was so great and attentive to him. She was very communicative and sent pictures as I had requested. Highly recommend her!”

“Our giant doofus of a dog loved her. She took care of not only the dog and cat but also two dramatic pigs and two stubborn goats. When we had last-minute scheduling hiccups she was flexible and understanding. We're grateful we found her!”
“Nathan was patient with my older dog Jewel who takes longer to warm up to new people but once she does she loves you! He was also great my with new puppy who is still learning the lay of the land. I would recommend him to all of my friends and book him again!”

“Sophie is the best. I know this review will now make it harder for me to book her again because everyone else will be booking her. She loves animals and is a true kind spirit. Very responsible and clean. Her care of my house equaled the care of my dogs. She’s very communicative too. A++ rating.”

“Mary was great. She came by our house prior to watching our 2 dogs to meet and see the dogs and house. She was on time and professional. She stayed overnight at our house and watched the pups for 4 days. She sent us pictures of the dogs each day we were gone and when we came home she had a nice note on the counter and left homemade dog treats in the fridge. I will for sure be using Mary again.”

FAQs for House Sitting - Beechgrove
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 344 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Beechgrove. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Beechgrove walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Beechgrove maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Beechgrove choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Beechgrove. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 88% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
