“Renee was an amazing sitter!! My pup can be both a little shy and very energetic but she did a great job taking care of him. She was always friendly and prompt in her communication and I’d trust her with any dog!”

“Adrienne went above and beyond for us during an extended trip, even picking up our custom dog food order when we forgot to leave enough for the pups during their stay. Highly recommend!”

“Mandie was AMAZING! I 110% recommend her for your pet sitting needs! This was our first time leaving our girl Nova for an extended period of time and she made it the most comfortable experience. She sent pictures and videos daily which eased our mind so much! She is very active with the dogs she watches and her own! She worked on commands with my dog and her home was very dog friendly! We couldn’t have picked a better sitter for our dog Nova!”

“Melissa and her family were such a great place for Harper. She was able to spend time outside and off leash, as well as cozy up to the boys on the sofa - all of her favorite things.”

“Our dog loves staying with Nat and Ally! She has the best time running around with their dog and they take great care of her. Thrilled to book with them again and would/will do so again in a heartbeat!”

“Stephanie and her family always take great care of Abbey as if she were their own pet. I always miss my pet when I travel but Stephanie always makes sure to keep me updated with pictures and videos. Thank you again!”

“Min and Matthew were exceptional sitters for my girl, Rani! Not only did they play with her endlessly (seriously, Rani has zero ability to self-regulate and they went with it!), they also cared for her as their own pup. When she was being finicky about eating, Min took the time to spoon feed her just like I do. Min also send so many pictures and videos, which helped me feel so at peace knowing Rani was well taken care of and loved. I will definitely be sending Rani back to Min and Matthew’s in the future…the 40 minute drive to/from our place is more than worth it!”

“Satsuki took great care of our puppy for his first boarding experience. We are glad we made this choose as she is caring, experienced and patient. She sent a few fun pics throughout the journey and she was very responsive. Would recommend her for sure.”

“Kacy took such great care of our dog! We were able to enjoy our trip with no worries about her at all. Many photos and videos of her so we could see how she was doing along with notes from Kacy. Definitely 5 + star rating and will absolutely have our dog vacation with Kacy in the future!”

“Couldn’t be more grateful for finding this family. Imer and Michelle are the best. We are so happy to have them as neighbors. Our dogs loved them. Imer sending update for our dogs two or three times of a day.”

“Rene took amazing care of my dog, Aurora! She updated me throughout the day every day. She made sure my dog had plenty of exercise and play time! I will definitely bring my dog to Rene whenever I need a sitter.”

“Matt was super easy to work with and took good care of our Aussie, who was hesitant to leave him when we went to pick her up! It’s so nice to find a dog sitter who works from home like we do. Highly recommend Matt.”

About: Hello, my name is Danielle. I used work as a veterinary technician and I am looking to drop in pet sit and walk pets on my off time. I personally have 3 dogs and 4 cats so I am very much used to taking care of pets on a daily basis. I am also experienced in pet first aid and dog/cat CPR experienced. I can also watch small caged animals in my home. I have experience with some exotics and small 'pocket' pets. Please let me know if you have any questions! Thank you! In the mornings I make sure all of my pets are taken care of then after my kids are off to school I am available to come check in on your fur babies! I always make sure doors are shut and fences are secure for outside time. I always make sure leashes fit snuggly to reduce the risk of a leash slip.
“Our dog doesn't usually take to men as well as women; however, Zelda was comfortable right away with Dorian. Dorian is attentive and caring. He is communicative and answers back in a timely matter. I appreciate how gentle he was with Zelda. I would recommend Dorian to watch your dog if you are searching for a good dog sitter.”

“Five stars for Laura! Due to a family emergency, we had to find a last minute sitter for our lab. Laura was extremely responsive and accommodating throughout the entire experience. During our pup’s stay, we received various photos and videos of him feeling at home and having fun. She clearly loves animals and makes sure your pet is loved. I would absolutely book with Laura again! Thank you Laura!”

“Alex provided an overall great experience for our Great Dane puppy. He has a great temperament and provides a perfect environment for dogs. Our puppy came home happy and tired. Couldn't ask for much more.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Beaver Creek
I'm so pleased! Roger felt right at home and it makes me feel confident that I'm leaving him on good hands. I'm so grateful for the chance to have sitters like Jeannie and Robert! Will be re-booking again. Thank you and your family for the extra toys and spoiling my sweet boy while he stayed with you!!

Simply the best! What can I say except to tell you that when Harper figured out where he was going, he was super excited. Once he saw Robert, I could barely keep up with him as he ran to jump into his van. That's how you know that your fur baby is in the right place. Couldn't recommend more!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Beaver Creek home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Beaver Creek.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Beaver Creek sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
