“So happy to have found Emma! My dog loved her immediately and it was easy to tell she really loves animals. She sent great pics and videos and kept me up to date on how he was doing!”

“Kristen was so sweet, professional, and caring for the month or so I needed her. Fortunate finding her to trust with my puppy and in my house (which is hard for me as a natural worrier). She communicated about situations that arose.”

“I couldn’t be happier with the dog walking service! My dog was happy, relaxed, and well-exercised. What really made my day were the adorable pictures that were sent during the walk — it was so reassuring to see my pup having such a great time! Highly recommend and will definitely be booking again.”

I try to keep a relatively realistic schedule and life for animals while parents are gone so that they don’t have much stress when parents are away.

About: My name is Alex and I couldn't be more excited to work with you and your pets! I have an extensive background pet sitting and my love for animals has always been the most exciting part about the job. I work with a variety of animals, including horses. Since I could remember, I've watched pets for friends and family whenever they went out of town or needed extra help. My love for this job began back then and has continued to be an ongoing part of my life. I love helping animals and strongly believe that they deserve nothing but quality care. I'd love to help you and your family with your pets through drop-in visits and walking services, so you never have to worry about them when you're away from home! I'm a new college graduate, and have a lot more free time to focus on my pet care business. Most of my afternoons are open! For drop-in visits, I arrive and stay for the duration of the visit and do the duties that the clients need, whether if that's letting the pets outside, feeding them, and/or hanging out and playing with them, etc.
About: I have extensive experience with raising animals! I was born into a family of dog lovers, and I have always had a furry friend for as long as I can remember. I have reared and cared for fourteen puppies all at the same time! This includes special-needs puppies who required consistent attention and hand feeding. I have sat for all different sorts of breeds, sizes, and animals! Including small animals like rats, guinea pigs, and reptiles. I have a deep love and compassion for animals and also have a lot of experience in dog training, meaning I am more than happy to keep up with any regimen or structure your friend needs. I work from home as a writer so my schedule is completely open outside of the work I'll be doing here on Rover! In terms of my writing career, when and how I do it is completely flexible meaning I am happy to hear your pet's routine and mold my work around them. I will care for your pets with strict adherence to how you'd like me to care for them. In terms of my personal pet-parenting style, I am the sort who sees my animals as family and they're allowed to lie on the couches and beds. Your pets health and diet are very important to me, so I will always take as much info or instruction as you wish to give me. We have two dogs and a cat at home, all of which are friendly towards other animals, so I will ask that your pet plays nice, with them, as well! Animals who are tolerant/non-aggressive but need space are more than welcome to remain in a quiet room unbothered by our furry family members. We have a loft area where they can be completely separated if need be! They will, however, cross paths with the other dogs and cat when walked or let out in the fenced yard.

About: Look, anyone can watch a pet. My thing? I actually listen. Seriously. My superpower is picking up on what animals are trying to tell me—be it a happy purr, a 'back off' bark, or a goat's casual bleat for attention. Being a digital nomad means my schedule is entirely my own, so I can truly be present and adapt to their needs, not some rigid clock. Playtime? Cuddles? Or just needing space? I read the room (or yard, or barn). I've got hands-on experience with everything from puppies to pigs, so your critters are always in genuinely attuned hands. This isn't just some gig; it's about making a real connection, deeply. As a digital nomad, my work goes where I go, and my schedule is completely my own. That means no rushing off to an office, no rigid 9-to-5, and definitely no 'squeezing in' pet time. I build my day around the animals I'm caring for. If a dog needs an extra walk, or a cat wants a sudden play session When I'm caring for your pets, my absolute focus is on maintaining their normal routine and comfort right there in their own space. I'm not just showing up to feed and split; I'm integrating into their lives. That means sticking to their feeding schedule, managing medications if needed, and keeping their environment exactly how you left it—clean, familiar, and totally stress-free. Here's the deal: as a digital nomad, my work goes where I go, and my schedule is completely my own. That translates directly into true presence for your pets. If I'm house sitting for you, your animals essentially become my co-workers. That means spontaneous play sessions, consistent outdoor time, and me being fully available. You'll get regular updates so you're never left wondering. Ultimately, it comes down to being attuned to their unique needs and ensuring they feel as comfortable, happy, and loved as they do with you, without ever having to leave their familiar surroundings.

About: I have done pet sitting for over 5 years which include boarding, housesitting and dog walking. I have also cared for cats, chickens, exotic birds and baby goats (bottle fed). I have cared for elderly pets, seizure pets and have no problem with giving medications. ****If you are requesting housesitting, I do have a small easy-going chill dog that likes to come with me if you are ok with that. He gets along with all dogs and cats alike. I do request that we have a meet and greet prior so as to ensure you are comfortable with me in your home and with your pets. I work remotely during the day. So I would be with your pet(s) for the majority of the day. They would only be left alone a few hours on occasion for errands/appointments and such. So they would get plenty of potty breaks, love and attention while you are away. I will care for you pet(s) per your instructions. While at my house they will be allowed on furniture and my bed for extra cuddle time. They will be given plenty of walks and playtime!
About: We had a family dog from the time I was a toddler. The first dog was a Doberman, then the next family dog was a Springer Spaniel. My family also volunteered as puppy raisers with Guide Dogs for the Blind and we raised 5 guide dog puppies. One flunked out of guide dog school and came back to live with us until she was 13. Later, I volunteered with Guiding Eyes for the Blind and helped puppy raisers with their new puppies, and weekly helped teach the classes from 12 weeks when the puppies first arrive to their puppy raiser homes, up to 18 months when they leave their puppy raisers the puppies get trained before they go back in for their formal under harness training for their blind person. All 9 years of work there we used positive reinforcement with the dogs and helped the puppy raisers. I also attended some classes with Guiding Eyes on dog body language. I also have my own rescue dog who I adopted during that time and he has had positive reinforcement training since I adopted him. I now assist owners with training or behavioral needs they may have for their dogs to make the owners and the dogs happier and more peaceful living. I also have added a list of other services, from boarding in my home, to house sitting in yours, dog walking, drop in visits, or daycare in my house. I am working from home and available basically all the time, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and over weekends as well. Days: M, T, W, T, F, S, S I don’t have kids or cats. Just me and my one 10 year old personal dog are in the house. I live in a condo and don’t have a backyard, but I have always walked my dog in the neighborhood and gone to hike at Lake Chabot which is only a 12 minute drive or at Oakland hills parks.

I currently own 3 dogs and 3 cats so I know they need love and attention many times a day just like a kid, and I will treat them like I treat my own loved ones. I currently do gig work full time and thus have a fully open schedule. I am able and willing to be there for your animals and house needs at any given hour. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
