“Dawn is always so great with all my animals and has always helped out last minute when my dog care fell through or my work schedule changed. She is fantastic!”

“Sheryl is SUCH a nice person--super friendly, amazingly communicative, and accommodating with how we wanted our cat cared for. She checked in a couple of days before the visit and did not just give him the needed the care but also socialized with him and sent several pictures. We are extremely happy with the service Sheryl provided and will definitely have her back!”

“It was a pleasure to meet Stephanie! She did a great job with Abby & Oscar. Especially since Oscar the cat would not come in the house before we left - I really appreciated knowing he came in and they made friends that night. Looking forward to working with her again.”

Family, Friends, and neighbors have allowed me to take care of their pets and home while they have been away on vacation or while they are working for long periods of time. I also have multiple large crates if needed or preferred. I have two very friendly dogs to keep your baby company.

About: Hello! My name is Erica and I own a home in Leesville, SC with my husband and three rescue pups and one kitty cat. I have extensive animal experience that spans twelve years. I received my degree in Veterinary Technology. I've worked for a reputable pet sitting companies, a local grooming salon and boarding facility for the majority of my adult life. Although my career path has changed, I still have a huge passion for animals with consistent experience. My medical knowledge as well as behavioral knowledge of animals has followed me. I am comfortable caring for all breeds and sizes of dogs. I understand they are our furry children. I will take care of your animal like my own. My job is to make you feel completely comfortable when you are away, knowing your pets are being completely taken care of. When my husband and I go away on trips, I know how important it is to have reliable care and communication. I seek to provide that same type of care I would want for our babies. This is one thing I can guarantee. I look forward to caring for your pets! I work as an online ministry leader four days out of the week (Wed-Fri 5pm-7pm & Sat 11am-1pm).I can work remotely and from anywhere! 😊 My plan is to care for your animals in your own home just as I would with my own. To make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I value routine, safety and kindness.

“Daniel was fantastic when I needed help with my girls!! He sent me regular pictures of them, and I knew they were well taken care of! It was so heartening to know that I dogs were well cared for while I was working. I highly highly recommend Daniel if you ever need assistance with your animals!”

“Morgan was wonderful! Morgan was great with my cat George, who is a character/has a personality! Morgan took lots of pictures of George, made sure his litter was cleaned, he ate from clean food bowls, and provided great communication about his mood during the sitting. Morgan also was really great at following George's cues to play, or opening the windows for bird watching, or just giving him pets and cuddles. I will totally be hiring Morgan to cat/George watch again!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
