“Doug and family were great! The communication was excellent, and he sent cute pictures every day, so I knew my little dog Pixel was having a great time and was being well cared for. We’ll definitely be back!”

“If I could leave 10 stars for Leigh, I would! Oh my goodness, I sure found someone who loves and cares for my pup as much as I do! I was lucky enough to find someone who would let her sleep in their bed, play endless hours of catch, enjoy pupsicles, bonfires, and receive so much love and kisses! My little pup was pampered and spoiled on her pet stay with Leigh and her husband. Words cannot explain the relief I felt knowing my little girl was having fun and given all the same treatment she does at home. We were able to relax and enjoy our long vacation with our grandkids with no worries at all. Leigh, thank you for sending us the cutest photos each and every day to let us know how much fun she was having. She is excited for her next sleepover at your house. I think she is missing you already!”

“Lisa helped accommodate our 8 month old Labrador - Zen, over the long weekend. He was well taken care of and came back home happy - and tired from all the backyard play :) We will certainly reach Lisa again in the future to care for Zen.”

“Kevin was just the person I needed to take care of my dog while I was working out of town and my family wasn’t home to watch my dog. He has the perfect set up to keep any size dog fed, safe, and well taken care of and he has the room for a handful of dogs too! He and his kids took the time to take my dog out for walks. I will definitely reach out to him when in need again. Thanks Kevin!”

“Dustin and his family are AWESOME!!! Our puppy is high energy and very sensitive to being left with someone else, and they made him feel at home and happy while we were out of town. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience for our crazy puppy! We hope to see you again soon.”

“I am so thankful that I came across Tatyanah and Everardo here. My dog needs to have his bladder manually expressed following a spinal stroke three years ago. They agreed to learn, and they successfully did it for a long trip for me (18 days!) Tristen loves to walk and got daily walks with lots of new friends. He was healthy when I got him back. I got lots of pictures and updates. He also made new dog friends! I wasn’t worried at all during my trip, and it was such a relief to be able to travel and not worry about my dog. Thank you so much!”

About: Are you looking for someone that will give your furry friend the care they deserve? I am a veterinary assistant who has been caring for animals pretty much my whole life. I have experience walking dogs, house sitting, and so much more. Due to my vet experience and schooling, I believe I can give your pet the attention, love, and care they need. I am currently taking time to focus on school and becoming a registered veterinary technician. Due to this, I am not working anywhere right now. This means I have a flexible schedule to care for your baby! I am ready to take on any responsibility needed to care for your animals. I have experience with feeding, walking, giving medications, puppies, cats, senior dogs, and so much more. I want to make the stressful process of you leaving your animals and stress free as possible. I have two dogs and one cat at home and will care for yours as if they are my own.
“Cheryl did an excellent job of keeping me up to date on my baby and a full review of his experience when I picked him up. It’s clear Cheryl cares about your pet as well as you hope. My dog was challenging for her and she did the work to make him as calm as she could until I returned. I’ll take my dog back to her when I need care again. Thanks Cheryl.”

About: I’ve shared my home with dogs and cats my entire life and have never lived without an animal. Over the years I’ve cared for everything from high-drive working breeds to tiny Chihuahuas, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of sizes, energy levels, and personalities. I currently have a 4-month-old Belgian Malinois that I’m training for PSA and a 7-year-old Malinois who is our calm, steady family dog. I also have five rescue cats—some came to us with health issues that we nursed back to health, and others simply stole our hearts and never left. This mix has given me plenty of hands-on experience with everything from high-energy training and enrichment to medication, special diets, and gentle care for animals who need a little extra TLC. As an empty nester, I now have the time and energy to give other people’s pets the same attentive, loving care I’ve always given my own. Whether it’s a playful walk, structured enrichment, or quiet companionship, I treat every animal like they’re part of the family. I work from home Monday–Friday, 7–4, and am available all day on weekends. I’m flexible for early morning and evening check-ins and walks. I love staying active and out and about, which makes dog walking a perfect fit. I have a securely fenced yard that’s perfect for potty breaks and supervised play. My two friendly, active dogs are great with other dogs and love company, so your pet will always have a safe, engaging environment and plenty of attention.

“So great! Jess was welcoming, patient, and obviously has such good experience with dogs. Her communication was timely and consistent, and she cared for our puppy like one of her own. Additionally, her fur baby, Stroopy, was such a wonderful playmate! Looking forward to more family getaways with the knowledge that our pup will be comfortable and loved. Thank you!”

“Bri was the best with my cat and dog! She was very attentive and took care of my fur babies as if they were her own. This was the first time I boarded my dog with someone other then family so I was worried but Bri made me feel at ease and also gave me great updates throughout their stay. I would definitely recommend her for your pet sitting needs!”

“I’ve taken my Malinois here a few times and he loves it. He is always well cared for and leaves happy. I’ve left him here for up to a week and am totally comfortable doing so. I will definitely continue using their services.”

“We are so pleased with the care that Christina provided Kona and Griffin. We received daily pictures of our boys and cute notes saying what they were doing. When we picked the boys up 2 weeks later they were both happy and healthy. This was our first time leaving our dogs with someone else and were nervous about it. We did our do-diligence and Christina hit all criteria that we considered important to us. We have no regrets and will definitely be using Christina again in the future. Thank you.”

About: Hey everyone! I’m dania and my husband and I are dog lovers being raised with dogs, we treat them like our kids! :) We have a passion for animals specially dogs! We have a nice house with a huge yard just to make sure our dogs can have enough space to run around and be free. I have a little 9year old chihuahua (piggy) and a service dog pit bull (Lola) both female. they are the friendliest most playful dogs you’ll meet. Piggy is an older dog so she’s a lot more mellow and likes to bask in the sun and lay around the house and back yard. Lola is a more energetic dog who loves to play and run around. She loves catching and chewing on toys. I’m a full time mommy, so I’m always home caring for my dogs and infant. We love walks and playtime in the yard. My daughter loves being outdoors watching the dogs run around. We would love more company! Your dog will love it too!. You will see, I have lots of open space to run and play time to tire out the dogs and ensure they get all that energy out. in addition to a separate area for those dogs like piggy who just like to relax and lay around.
“Jane was wonderful during a family emergency. I arranged most all of the stay from Florida and she worked with me. Jane sent photos everyday to keep me smiling. Callie came home a happy girl.”

“I liked Christine from the moment I walked in her house to meet her with Francis and Fiona and her dogs Beauty and the Beast she was super laid-back not like some people that have too many rules for dogs I just knew that Francis and Fiona were gonna have a good time and that it was going to be casual and I was right. Christine sent pictures every day to show me what my babies were doing. We will definitely use Christine again when we need a pup sitter.”

It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
