“This is the first time I’ve had to leave my cats with someone else, and I didn’t want a kennel-like environment. Lyudmila provided daily photos and updates on what the cats were up to. She put my mind at ease. Her kids also pitched in with even more love and attention. She was a great provider and I was never concerned about their well-being.”

About: I've worked as an assistant dog trainer for over three years and I have a passion for working with dogs and understanding dog behavior. I've raised shelter dogs since I was five years old, have professional experience with many other species such as small animals and cattle. I also have a degree in clicker training from Karen Pryor Academy. I'll also work with aggressive dogs and dogs with behavior issues, even if other sitters have rejected them. I set my own hours, so I can work my routine around the needs of your dog. I am looking forward to meeting your dog! I believe in positive reinforment methods with a focus on understanding dog behavior to create the best life possible for the both dog and owner.

“Yuki was so fantastic with our dog Nala! Nala can be a bit wild especially when meeting new people, but Yuki didn’t seemed concerned about it one bit. You can immediately tell her love for dogs! We received many photo updates, and in every one of them Nala had a great big smile or looked totally pooped out and napping from playing with the other dogs. We are so relieved to have found such a great sitter for Nala while we were in town, and will definitely be using Yuki again when we are in the area.”

“This was my first time using Rover and I had the best experience. Gretchen and Eric were so great with Piper. She is an older anxious dog and they gave her tons of love and attention. I loved getting the updates and pictures. I will definitely have Piper stay with them again! Thank you so much for caring for my dog!”

“Callan did a great job taking care of cat. She sent pictures and a video of my cat during the time of care. Callen's address in the app was wrong, so I had to ask Callen for the correct address for her home.”

“Taylor's care was simply fantastic. Her own dogs are so gentle and welcoming; you can see that Taylor and her husband are dog lovers. My dog craves exercise, so I was a little hesitant about how she would adjust to staying in an apartment, but I should never have worried! Taylor made sure she had lots of safe, outside, running time at the park! She sent us pictures and updates, and although Sydney was glad to see me, she was also stress-free and obviously well cared for. I recommend Taylor 100%.”

About: Your Dog’s Home Away From Home 🐾 Dogs have been part of my life for more than 31 years, and I’ve always had a soft spot for Yorkies. I’ve also had a German Shepherd and Border Collies, so I’m comfortable with everything from tiny personalities to high-energy working breeds. In addition to my pre-teen and teenager, my current pack keeps me on my toes: 🐶 13-year-old Yorkshire Terrier 🐶 10-year-old Australian Shepherd 🐶 1.5-year-old Golden Retriever I’m very comfortable managing different ages, energy levels, exercise needs, personalities, and the occasional doggy quirk. I work primarily from home, so your pup won’t be sitting alone all day. I’m around for potty breaks, playtime, walks, supervision, and plenty of company. My backyard is fully fenced, giving dogs a safe place to stretch their legs and enjoy some off-leash time. Most importantly, I know how much trust goes into leaving your dog with someone else. I’ll treat your pup like a member of the family while they’re here. ❤️🐾 And yes, I’m happy to care for cats, too! I grew up with a cat for 10 years and am comfortable with feeding, fresh water, litter box care, playtime, and keeping your kitty company. I’m happy to stop by for visits and make sure they’re cared for and getting some attention. I am a realtor and primarily work from home. I have plenty of flexibility to let dogs out during the day. When my kids get home from school, the dogs get extra love! The dogs love to play in the backyard. After plenty of playtime and dinner, we like to relax and cuddle with the dogs on the couch while watching TV to wind down before bed. I have a fenced yard and three friendly dogs to keep your dog company. I feed dogs in the morning and at night. I let them out multiple times a day - the Golden loves to play and the Yorkie has a small bladder. I have a large crate if ever necessary.
“Hayden was very friendly and fast to reply. I definitely appreciated him watching my 2 dogs while I was away. My dogs seemed very happy and tired when I picked them up. I would definitely book him again.”

“Acacia really came through and helped me out! She took on a very sudden reservation from me and made sure my dog was very well taken care of. My puppy Kirby loves being there and I would gladly book her again! :)”
About: I lived on a farm and had all types of animals. I love dogs. Cats are fine, but I love dogs. My wife and I also had parakeets, finches, and cockatiels for a number of years. Since I'm retired, I'm pretty flexible. I like to walk, so taking your dog for a walk would be something I would very much enjoy. When the weather is nice, I enjoy going to dog parks with the dogs. Tell me what you want to do, and I will do it. If there are special needs, i would prefer them in writing. If I think I would not be a good fit, I will tell you. I would expect the same from the client.
About: Having grown up with dogs, I understand how important they are as family members. As a graduate student living away from home, I especially miss spending time with my family's dogs. I’ve also cared for my friends’ dogs, so I know every pet has their own personality and routine. Whether I'm caring for your pet in my home or yours, I'll make sure they get all the walks, playtime, cuddles, love, and attention they need while following their regular routine to help them feel safe, comfortable, and happy! As a graduate student, I have class Tuesday and Thursday during the middle of the day and Monday evenings, so I am unavailable during those times. I also am an TA for a lab that runs 1pm-8pm Tuesday and Wednesday. Outside of class and lab, my weekday schedule is flexible. I have the most availability on weekends, and my evenings are almost always free for walks, drop-in visits, or overnight care. I care for every pet as if they were my own, whether they are staying in my home or I am caring for them in yours. I live in a cozy apartment, but I’m surrounded by many dog-friendly areas and parks, which makes it easy to provide plenty of walks, exercise, and outdoor time. I always make sure pets receive the love, attention, playtime, and cuddles they need while following their normal routines to help them feel comfortable and secure. I also love sending updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away!

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and other pets for over 7 years. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities, and I understand that every pet has their own routine and needs. I’m dependable, patient, and attentive, and I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. I’m happy to provide walks, playtime, feeding, potty breaks, and plenty of love and attention while you’re away. Im currently not working and full time stay at home. My schedule is very flexible, giving me plenty of time to care for your pets. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, playtime, and boarding, including weekends and many weekdays I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where pets can feel at home. I have two friendly dogs, who would love to hang out and play. I’m happy to follow your pet’s routine, feeding schedule, and care instructions.
About: I previously worked part time at a dog daycare as a dog handler. As a dog handler I’ve gained experience with all types of dogs and puppies such as treatments, feedings, and bathing. I’ve also volunteered at an animal shelter where I got to spend time caring and loving for dogs and even cats. Many of my duties contained walking, cuddling & playing! I have two dogs of my own that I care for full-time named Bucky and Shadow— they love making new fur friends but don't have to tag along on visits. I really love what I do and would love to expand my experience by helping others (hopefully you!) with their furry companions. Please don’t hesitate to reach out as I would love to meet you and your pet. Hope to talk soon! I’m currently enrolled in school, but I still have lots of time to play with your pups! My weekdays are usually pretty flexible and my weekends can be as well. I prefer caring for pets in the clients home as I live in an apartment, but that’s not saying I haven’t cared for a dog with me! It’s no problem as long as the client agrees and I have an allotted time to make the temporary arrangements. I am good with directions and punctuality so rest assured your pet would be in great hands!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Baker home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Baker.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Baker sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
