“We love having Morgan take care of our kitties! She's dependable and our 2 cats love her. Binx has major dietary issues & she's very mindful of that. We always have good communication as well. We highly recommend Morgan to take care of your furbabies!”

“Avery did an amazing job watching over our two kitties. She gave them lots of love and attention while we were away and made leaving my fur babies a lot less stressful. She was very communicative and always sent pictures! I will definitely be hiring her again in the future :)”

“Kayla did a great job with our anxious dog. She came by for a drop-in visit, took her out in the backyard, gave her the treats we left, and set up dinner. Kayla was very communicative throughout and sent pictures, which we really appreciated given how anxious our pup can get with new people. Looking forward to booking her again!”

About: Hi, I'm Zora, and I am 19-year-old student who grew up in Mount Vernon. I am currently taking a gap year in Norway, and I am looking to do some pet care when I return home for the summer. During high school I was a dedicated leadership volunteer and a teacher aide at a preschool. I have a cat and a small dog and I love taking care of pets! I can stay at your house or just drop by when needed, and I can walk smaller dogs or calmer large dogs - I'm just not strong enough to handle super big dogs if they pull a lot when walking. I am very calm and gentle and I volunteered at the NOAH animal shelter for three years with both dogs and cats. I love animals and my goal is to make them feel comfortable and safe when they are in my care. I don’t have my summer schedule solidified yet, but I will prioritize any bookings made here. Once I make a commitment, I stick with it. I do not offer boarding, but I have a small, dog-friendly car so I can take them for a hike or a visit to the park if you are comfortable. I will spend as much time as I can with your pets to ensure they feel loved, comfortable, and happy when they are in my care. I am gentle and patient and will not force affection on animals who aren’t enthusiastic about it.
“Karolina has been a lifesaver for us this summer. She is very responsive, always sends photos, and is willing to go the distance (figurative and literally—we live pretty far off the beaten path). She took the time to get to know our kitty. I was surprised when Klaire, who is shy, was on Karolina’s lap by the third visit. Thank you, Karolina!”

“Kayla is so good with our animals. I appreciate her keeping us updated on them and love the pictures she sends! So nice to have someone I can trust to give our pup a little extra attention when we can’t!”

About: I have 2 years of experience working at a dog daycare, where I cared for dogs of all sizes and breeds. From playful puppies to senior dogs with disabilities, I've seen it all. Growing up surrounded by a variety of dogs, from tiny Yorkies to gentle Great Danes, I've developed a deep understanding of their needs. Whether it's providing extra care for seniors or giving energetic pups their much-needed exercise, I’m passionate about keeping your furry friends happy and healthy! I’m available to care for your pets throughout the week! Whether you need a dog walk, check-in, or caring for your pet while away, I’m here to help! Let me know your pet’s needs, and I’ll make sure they’re well cared for during the times that work best for you. Please note: Starting June 1, 2025, my HOUSE SITTING rates will be updated. On Rover, the listed rate will show as $60 per night, which applies when you're away on vacation or need care over multiple days with daytime coverage. However, if you're booking longer daytime care without an overnight stay (for example, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM), the rate will be adjusted to $20 per hour for the time I’m actively caring for your pets. While the initial booking may still show as $60, I will manually adjust the rate on my end and send it to you for approval before confirming. This helps ensure you're only paying for the time you need, and your pets still receive high-quality, attentive care. Additionally, please note that for extended visits, I can provide early morning and late night drop ins, but will stay in my own home as I have my own fur babies to care for ☺️ Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide care in the familiar environment of your home, ensuring they feel secure and relaxed. I build trust through consistent, loving attention, treating each pet as if they were my own. Whether it’s following specific routines or providing a calm atmosphere, I make sure your furry friend feels safe and well cared for while you’re away.
About: I am an experienced pet sitter and have worked in Animal Shelters and know how to compassionately take care of pets with all manners of needs. I have also taken dog training courses at Colorado State University and have loved my own dog Bandit for 3 years. I am currently watching others furry family members full time and have open availability for all your needs! No matter you and your pets schedule I can be there. I am adaptable to care for pets in any home environment and can quickly figure out your equipment and routine to keep things as “normal” for your fur baby as possible.
About: I understand that each furry friend has their own unique personality and routine, I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away! Wether your furry friend is full of energy or prefers a calm and quiet environment, I will provide compassionate reliable care and keep you updated with photos and messages for your peace of mind! As a full time worker who lives with a 1year old puppy and a senior dog, I do my best to cater to their individual needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space, follow all care instructions carefully, and make sure pets receive the same love and attention they’re used to. I also provide regular photo and text updates so owners can relax knowing their pet is happy and well cared for. If pets stay in my home, they’ll be treated like part of the family in a clean, safe, and loving environment. I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, enrichment, exercise, and a comfortable place to rest. I strive to create a stress-free experience where every pet feels secure, loved, and cared for until they’re reunited with their family.
“Thank you Ratih for taking care of our animals while we were gone. My wife and I are always nervous when we are away from home but Ratih kept us at ease. We especially appreciated the photos and short videos she sent us. I highly recommend her services and we will be using her again in the near future.”

About: I’ve adopted my dogs in the past and took care of both my senior dogs until they passed at the ages of 12 and 18. I took care of them from newborn puppies, trained them, and later during their kidney disease, blindness, hip weakness, and helped them be as comfortable as possible during their senior years. I work from home so as long as I have WiFi, I can be taking care of pets before, during workday hours or after as well! I have weekends off and am willing to care for pets then as well. I’m basically free 24/7 to care for any pets :) I can drive over to the pets’ home and care for them there at any time or day needed. I had a dog with separation anxiety so I understand what it means to be present and attentive to pets. I’m an energetic person who can match an active pet’s energy, but am also a cozy homemaker so relaxed vibes with any pet are also my forte.
“Heidi went above and beyond to make sure our beloved pets were taken care of and safe. I would recommend her to anyone who's looking for a great pet sitter! She did an outstanding job staying in communication with us and giving us the piece of mind that our animals were well looked after. We will definitely be hiring her again the next time we travel and so should you!”
“We really appriciated Sara and Carol taking such great care of our kitty cat. Will 100% use them again. They are so knowledgeable about animals and kind. They were also flexible when we needed it so that was super. Thank you both!”

About: I have a dog and a cat back home that I help take care of. When I’m home, I take my dog out for walks everyday. I have dog sit for my neighbors dog a few times, and another family’s dog as well. I just graduated from NAU, so I am very available this summer. Weekdays as well as weekends! I am only in Flagstaff until the end of July. Making sure if it’s a gated house, that the gate is closed when supposed to be. Making sure the pet is not getting into anything it shouldn’t be.

About: I’ve cared for both farm and house pets for most of my life. My dream is to have a homestead with as many animals as I can care for. I’ve taught dogs and my cat different commands and would love would love to learn more things to train. I believe mental enrichment is so important to keep animals living a happy life. I’m currently a stay-at-home per parent so my routine is quite flexible. I try not to be away from homes for too long so my dog doesn’t have to be crated for prolonged periods. I am no stranger to walking dogs on leash. I currently don’t have a fenced yard so my dog only goes out on leash but in the past I have walked dogs of all sizes. I will treat you and your babies with respect and care. I understand a pets body language and am able to assess a situation to intuit what your pet needs.

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Avon. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
