“Yogi enjoyed his stay. I like that there are options. Dogs can stay in the house. But if they are more comfortable outside, she has a deck with access to a fenced in grass area. Good communication. No problems.”

“Kalley was amazing!! I needed a new sitter as my previous sitter stopped doing in-home boarding, and Kalley was phenomenal. She was very attentive and kept me updated daily on how Marley was doing via text and pictures. I knew he was extremely comfortable in her home which really put me at ease. Thank you Kalley to you and your family for taking such good care of Marley!”

“Walter and his wife were an absolute delight. The took excellent care of my senior Shih Tzu, Evie, over the holiday weekend. The moment I pulled up to their home I felt completely at ease. Their children were excellent with Evie and they had a beautiful and secure yard for Evie to enjoy. They were excellent at communicating and responding to messages. I truly appreciated that throughout the weekend they sent messages and photos to let us know Evie was doing well. Honestly, it was a huge relief to know that Evie was in excellent and capable hands. I highly recommend Walter and his family to anyone looking for someone to watch over their pet.”

“Cindy and her family are the absolute best! She was able to get us in on short notice. My baby girl is always so happy to see her and hang out with her friends. She takes such good care of her. We will definitely use her again. 🥰”

“Bella is the best. My Summit was well taken care of for the week. Daily pics and videos helped bridge that gap of separation. Highly recommend and will be using her again in the near future.”

“Michelle was absolutely amazing! I couldn’t recommend anyone more for your dog sitting needs. We are very thankful we had her available to watch Mocha! She gave great updates and provided lots of pictures.”

“Another great visit with Molly's favorite all-time sitter! As soon as we pull into the neighborhood, she gets so excited, and she has a blast every time. Beth always gives timely updates and pics, and I know she's in good hands the entire time. It's great to know that your dog gets a vacation at the same time you're taking your own vacation.”

“Linda took such good care of our two little ones. She sent updates to let us know how well they adjusted to being in her care (nine days). You can tell how much Linda loves your fur babies by the updates she sends you; its all about how much fun she is having with them. I highly recommend Linda. Will definitely use her again.”

“Heather was great! Kept me informed on how my dog Cody was doing and sent pics of him with her dogs. Cody seemed to love her Lab. Lots of room to run in her fenced in back yard. Will definitely use her again!”

About: I’ve had two dogs over the past 10 years that I have assisted in taking care of at my home. My families second dog passed away recently and the house is now empty of pets. As a dog-loving individual I would love to be able to watch over others’ pets and provide the proper care for them. I’m currently in the process of working part time with the city of Winchester’s summer camp for kids. I would be working during the week days and off all weekends. I have a large yard in a subdivided neighborhood that is great for taking walks. My home currently doesn’t have any pets living there. There are plenty of dog beds and furniture that is acceptable for pets to relax and sleep on. It is a three story home with 2 sets of stairs in it.
About: I love dogs and can't wait to take care of your furry friend! I have a large home, plenty of room for your dog to stretch out. I have a yellow lab/golden retriever mix who is very friendly. I have a fenced yard (about half an acre) and another 9 acres of unfenced area. I work from home during the week, so will have plenty of time for walks, play-time, etc. I am good with all ages/sizes. I will ensure your dog is comfortable and safe, and has plenty of attention! I work from home so am always around to care for your pets! Will have plenty of potty breaks and play time. If I have to step out I can crate your pet or not, whichever you prefer. I have a fenced in yard I work from home so am always around to care for your pets! About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong experience and genuine passion for animals of all sizes and personalities. I have cared for many dogs of various breeds & sizes throughout my life and currently have three dogs and two cats at home. Besides cats & dogs, I have also cared for rabbits, guinea pigs, parakeets, hamsters, chickens, goats, and sheep! For the past two years, I have also volunteered at the SPCA in Winchester, gaining hands-on experience with pets of all ages, temperaments, and care needs. I am confident working with playful puppies, senior pets, and everyone in between. I am patient, outgoing, and truly love providing animals with the care and attention they deserve. I am a student at Virginia Tech, so I have availability here and there throughout the day! I am also available most evenings/nights for longer periods of time. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s, I prioritize safety, trust, and comfort above all else. At my home, pets enjoy a fully fenced-in backyard for safe outdoor play, a walkable neighborhood for daily walks and fresh air, and a spacious deck that’s perfect for lounging and sunbathing. Inside, animals are treated like family in a clean, pet-friendly space with constant attention and care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always respect their routines and space, ensuring their pets feel secure, loved, and well cared for in their own environment.
“Linda was great with our 2 dogs! I felt VERY comfortable leaving my girls at her place. She sent pictures on our first night away. Plus she even sent us home with dogs bones and a dog bed! Would ask to have my girls stay here again on our next trip.... I can only hope they were good girls too and she would have them return for a future visit!”

“Lucy and Christian did a great job of taking care of Molly for me, I especially appreciate their flexibility because I had to adjust the dates of my trip, and they had no problems accommodating that request. I got regular updates, including great pictures, and Molly seemed to be having a great time as a member of their pack. She came home tired but happy, I couldn't ask for better care while I was out of town. Thanks again, and keep up the good work!”

Many sitters in WV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
