“Carri was a spectacular host for Bella! From the beginning, she put us at ease with her easy going personality and obvious love of dogs. She kept in touch with us daily with pictures and let us know how Bella was settling in to her new environment! I will definitely use Carri again knowing Bella will be loved and well taken care of!!”

“Gabbi and Justin were fantastic with my senior dog. They cared for her so well, they were absolutely wonderful to communicate with and went above and beyond for us. We will definitely book with them again!! Thank you Gabbi and Justin for an outstanding experience.”

About: I began working in the veterinary field at the age of 19 and fell in love. I have extensive experience with newborns and senior pets. I can give oral medication and subcutaneous fluids or injections if needed. I have been hosting dogs in my home for family, friends and neighbors for years. I have all day to watch over and play with your pups. I am mostly a homebody and with the exception of a couple of appointments or dinner out I’m home most of the time. I live on a few acres and have fenced in areas where the dogs can be off leash. I also have a very nice screened in porch where my dog (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) likes to sunbathe and watch the birds and squirrels. If your dogs enjoy exploring on leash, I will gladly take them out to check out the yard.
“Cyndie was great! Her home is super accommodating and setup perfectly for sitting. Our pup couldn’t have had a better experience. If Cyndie will have him, he will be back!”

“Jaime was wonderful in making our 70lb dog feel right at home!! He’s a little shy despite his size and energy and this was his first boarding aside from a vet/kennel week he wasn’t thrilled about…Jaime provided the TLC and doggie companionship he really needed to feel confident. In no time he was beaming from ear to ear in every sweet photo she sent! I’m so impressed with Jaime’s diligence to manage Rover doggie clients with such professionalism and attentiveness. She clearly is an organized person, has a natural passion and plenty of talent for bonding with animals and helping them to feel nurtured and safe. I was eager to choose Jaime based on her excellent reviews, and afterwards was thrilled that our favorite neighbor dog stays with her frequently as well! Such a great relationship to have for our dog whenever he needs it most—could not be happier with Jaime’s communication, accommodations, and caring love for our best furry friend. Don’t hesitate!”

“The best sitter ever! Deanna is incredibly kind, caring, and reliable. She was able to watch my babies, Kimba and Rue, on short notice and was so flexible when I needed to extend their stay. She kept me updated with plenty of photos and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were happy and well cared for. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely book with her again. A+++ sitter—thank you so much, Deanna!”

“Autumn did an excellent job updating me with pictures of how our dog Reesey was doing. She made a special effort ensure she would eat as other dogs make her anxious when eating. Her girls were such a comfort and healthy distraction as well. We definitely would bring our pup here again. Autumn is definitely an animal lover and kind hearted person.”

“Chandra & her family were amazing with Mouse! She kept us updated with daily pictures & videos, and she sent home the sweetest thank you note. She went above & beyond. I could tell they truly treated Mouse like a member of their family, and she was so well loved while we were away. This is definitely the best dog sitting experience we've had, and we can't wait to have Chandra watch Mouse again! :)”

“Heather was outstanding! Definitely recommend her. She was very communicative and sent photos and videos of Teddy every day. He will definitely be staying with her again.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Katie! She gave us complete peace of mind while caring for our fur baby, Old Sport, our Pomapoo. We received regular updates and pictures, and Katie was always very communicative throughout the stay. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter. We will definitely be using her again for any future needs!”

“Kayla & Trevor were great with Hershey. Hershey is 13 1/2 years old and blind and they allowed her run of the house as if she were one of their pets. Will definitely use again should the need arise.”

“Lisa was wonderful with our pet Clifford. She kept us updated with pictures, text messages and gave us peace of mind that our furry baby was in heaven. Super fast response whenever we needed her. Clifford was loved like he was at home! Will definitely use her services again!”

“She watched all 3 of our dogs in her house one is a Great Dane who is very clumsy and big. My lab mix is very skittish and she was patient and kind. Toward the end of their stay he had even started to hang out with her which is a big thing for cow. My dogs really enjoyed hanging out with her dogs, especially Remi who immediately wanted to play with my dogs. Overall I think they had an awesome time.”

“Alexandria kept my pup Jaxson for a weekend. First I noticed that when I went to drop him off that she had read his profile and was familiar with his habits, wants, and needs. She responded to me quickly when I messaged to check in on him, and she sent me pics of him throughout the day. Alexandria was great and is Jaxson new sitter! I definitely recommend her!”

About: Grew up with all sorts of animals, mainly cats and dogs of all sizes. Currently have one of my own and live with 5 other dogs in a house. Just moved to Nashville so hoping to meet all the new doggie faces. Currently working part-time monday through friday and weekends will usually be open to spend as much time as needed with the pets. Just let me know in advance and i can usually make time to help you out. Im living in an apartment with some friends so i would mainly prefer in home dog watching or walking. My roommates have a dog so boarding at my apartment wouldnt be the best option as well.

“Julianna and her husband took wonderful care of our German Shepherd mix. He's not dog-friendly, but they were able to handle his care lovingly and professionally. He is a toy-fixated, active dog and needs lots of exercise. Their yard's size and attentiveness to his need for play were fantastic for our boy and much appreciated. We received regular updates with photos during his 11-day stay. They had zero issues with administering his daily medications. We would strongly recommend this super-nice, highly organized couple, and will for sure be asking them to care for our dog again.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Auburntown home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Auburntown.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Auburntown sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
