“Preston was an outstanding dog sitter over the Fourth of July holiday! From the very beginning, he went above and beyond by taking the time to meet our dogs beforehand, which made us feel completely at ease. Throughout our time away, he was incredibly caring, attentive, and communicative. When a storm blew through and knocked over our patio umbrella, breaking the glass table, Preston let us know right away and kept us updated on everything. We really appreciated his honesty and prompt communication during an unexpected situation. It’s clear that Preston genuinely cares about the pets he looks after. We came home to happy, well-cared-for dogs and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy, responsible, and compassionate dog sitter!”

“Juliana is amazing! She is kind, very responsive and sent us so many sweet pictures of our Emmet. She took wonderful care of him while we were away and we wouldn’t hesitate to reach out to her again.”

“Gay is AWESOME!!! She was finally, after a year, of capturing my most elusive kitty Bonnie. Thats a huge feat to overcome💕. George and Henry were already in love with Gay❤️. Also, a very special thank you to Gay as she was also kind enough to shovel our sidewalk due to all the snow over the holidays!!! Simply amazing!”

“Joel is awesome. Super nice guy, good communicator, easy to work with & has taken great care of our pup. Gives solid updates at the end of each visit. He goes above and beyond while dropping in at your house. For example - our dog got into our garbage before one visit & Joel cleaned up all the trash off the floor. We appreciate the care he takes in looking after our pup as well as our home. Definitely recommend!”

About: While growing up, I fed, watered, played with, and walked our family friends. I even picked up poop! As an adult, I've done it all, from cleaning major messes to administering meds. I love canines and felines of all varieties, from the smallest to the largest! I am available to care for your pet(s) throughout the business day. Although I am also doing some volunteer work, I keep a regular schedule. I will care for your pets according to your express instructions. They will be treated as my own with as much love and concern as I can provide.
“Lauren was amazing! Gordie loved her and she gladly came to meet me before our appointment. Her ability to alleviate my stress made all the difference. Will gladly rebook with her!”

About: My whole life I’ve been obsessed with animals. I grew up on a farm with dogs, cats, horses, etc. I am a proud contributor to an animal foster and rehabilitation group. I also worked in a dog and cat boarding and daycare facility. I am used to having to take care of my foster dogs on a full time level, while also balancing other responsibilities. Additionally, I have experience distributing medications, taking care of special needs animals, animals with special food and dietary needs, etc. I am currently working part time and do online schooling! I have no issue going from work straight to your pets! I have a pretty flexible schedule and will do my best to accommodate to you and your pets needs! I treat your home and pets like I would my own. I believe playtime, walks, and cuddles are top priority in keeping your pets happy while you’re away! I also believe in leaving your home in great condition! This ensures when you get home you have more time with your animals.
“Megan took care of my boy perfectly! He takes meds and can be fussy, but she handled that task beautifully. This was Megan's first visit and I could not be more happy! Thank you for taking care of my boy as if he is your own!”

“Ben is always so attentive when he does drop-in visits with our dog. I can trust that Ben truly cares for our pet. He is the first person we ask to check in on our dog if we're out of town for the night!”

About: I have a sweet beagle that was rescued 7 years ago. I am fully responsible for his care, including feeding, walking, bathing, nail trimming, etc. I always check him for ticks after visiting a park and know how to safely remove them. I enjoy going for long walks, especially in summer, so would be glad to give your dog exercise. My kids have had goats, rabbits, chickens, turkeys, and ducks, which are all fun to play with, and I would be glad to care for your less-typical pets, if needed. I have even cared for lizards and snakes. I am a teacher, so have loads of time available in the summer. During the school year, I am available most weekends and after 4 on weekdays. I always keep dogs on leash when walking them...you never know when a squirrel or other dog will come by or how they will react.
About: growing up with a family dog, i’ve always looked forward to our long walks. since i've moved to care for my grandma & i can’t have a pet at my current home, i’m looking to be the dedicated adventure buddy your pup deserves! i’m an avid walker who cleans up after your pet & loves exploring local parks and trails, and i’m just as comfortable handling a brisk, high-energy trek as i am a slow, 'sniff-heavy' stroll for seniors or four legged friends who love getting distracted! HOT WEATHER: for dog-friendly clients, i am able to provide outings to low stress trips to uncrowded, pet-friendly stores/facilities for stimulation and enrichment (including a potty break outside before and after, of course!) i am also happy to walk earlier/later in the day to avoid the heat as well! i also enjoy keeping pets company in home, whether its playing with toys, using lick mats, or just spending some time together! because i work evening and overnight shifts, i have guaranteed availability every morning and midday for your dog’s routine. whether you need a recurring daily walker or a same-day visit because you’re running late, i'm local and ready to jump in! my current job is closing in a few months, so i’ll be even more available for your schedule soon :) in public, i use a short-leash grip, stay hyper-aware of our surroundings without distractions like phones/technology of any kind (aside from photos, of course!), and avoid unknown dogs to keep your pup protected. i pride myself on being a trustworthy, punctual communicator, providing frequent photo updates so you’re always in the loop. i am very confident in my ability to kennel/leash pets & i consider myself well-versed in administering medication. i am keen when reading animal stress signals, ensuring your pet feels safe and understood under my care! as of early may, i am taking dog training certification courses to better my understanding and confidence in dog training :)
“Beth was wonderful! She came twice a day to feed/water/scoop for our two kitties while we were away. We received lots of updates and photos. The cats loved her and we were very happy with her care.”

“Brandon was great! I knew he was going to be great fit since the meet and greet. Our dog Benji loves him. Milo will take a bit of time but I'm sure over the next few visits Brandon will win him over too.”

About: I have owned 3 dogs and a cat in my life. My ex-fiancée and I owned a Siamese cat that we adopted from the OKC Animal Shelter. We previously fostered two kittens. I'm reliable, accountable, and punctual! And above all, I am CPR certified for both humans and animals. You can count on me! I'm currently working full-time and do Rover on the side, but I will absolutely try to work around your needs! I am open to any and all animals! Let me know what availability you have and we can work with that! I do have a cat crate and some cat treats and toys. I do also have dog treats and chew toys. I am very gentle and know how to approach animals in a way that does not make me appear threatening and will earn their trust.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
