“Ashley is absolutely amazing. The weather was treacherous and she still managed to check in on my fur baby. Anytime I asked a question there was a quick response. I was very comfortable and had full trust in the service Ashley provided as well as having access to my home. I would use Ashley again for any services needed in the future.”

“Hannah was a godsend! At our first meet and greet Bentley took right to Hannah. It usually takes several visits before he even stops barking at visitors. I had peace of mind knowing that Bentley was going to be looked in on, fed and toileted. I especially liked pictures and the check in’s sent in my texts. I was able to vacation with no worries, enjoy myself and focus on new adventures with my daughter. I will definitely use Hannah again this summer. I’m so happy I found Rover!!”

“Shelby did two drop-in visits for me. My girls were happy to see her and she met their needs perfectly. So glad I found Shelby to take care of my girls when I am away for long periods of a day.”

“Jessica was phenomenal, not only loved for my animal like her own, but provided her with treats and so many pets and attention. I will definitely be using Jessica whenever I travel again and plan to use her for also my dog in the future! She not only took amazing care of my sweet cat she cleaned my house as well! Vacuumed, mopped, you name it, she did it. She also drove 30 + mins just to watch her. I couldn’t thank her enough or recommend her to anyone who will listen!!”

About: I've had pets most of my life. I've cared for big dogs and little dogs. This includes potty training, walking, baths, ear cleaning, and nail trimming. I've also administered medications in pill, liquid, and shots. I've cared for puppies, middle aged, and seniors and know the unique needs at each life stage. I currently work full time, but my wife does not work, so we have lots of time to care for your pet. I am available almost all weekends. I have a full fenced in yard with a 4 foot chain link fence. The fence has been "small dog" proof to ensure no escapees. We have 10 dogs, but all are super friendly and get along well with others. We also have tons of toys, chew bones, and beds throughout the house.

About: I’ve grown up always having cats and dogs, and I value their companionship more than anything! Not only have I taken care of my own fur babies, but I’ve had other family members and friends ask for my time to take care of their pets while they were away, which is why I decided to come here and make myself useful to you! I’m currently in school for my undergraduate degree, so taking care of animals is a great full time position for me and helps me better understand different animals’ needs! My parents have two pug/pekingese mix at home that I frequently sit for, and they’re also crate trained. They’re also used to potty breaks every two hours in my parents’ fenced in yard. We also have cats which I take care of and we clean their litter boxes twice a day.

Was a little nervous leaving my babies with someone i didn't know but Kerry made it easy not to worry went on a 3 day trip and my boys are a little shy and scared of people they dont know but by their second visit you couldn't tell the boys loved them. Would 100% have Kerry watch in on my boys on our next trip and future trips we take. Kerry you and your partner are the best ! Thank you for being so good to our boys !!!”

“Lorie did a phenomenal job taking care of my 5 precious kitties while I was away. She is a beautiful soul with an exceptionally kind and sparkly personality. She was really diligent about arriving as arranged and making sure the cats were tended to. I always looked forward to seeing the updates after she visited and she did a fabulous job of providing me with lots of pictures of my furry sweethearts. She was also very accommodating when our plans changed unexpectedly and patient when we had issues with our security system. I hope she would come back again to pet sit for us if needed in the future! Thank you again for everything, Lorie. You are wonderful!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Ashland
Hannah was a wonderful drop-in cat sitter for us. My indoor cat is very shy and generally scared of strangers. I was afraid she would hide the whole time we were gone. Hannah was very patient and looked for her the first day or two to be sure she was okay - just hiding. After that, the cat decided that Hannah was okay and came out when she was there. Hannah spent time earning her trust and by the end, my cat would greet her at the door and spend time getting pets during the visit. My outdoor "barn" cat did not make an appearance, but the food was disappearing most days, and Hannah made sure there was always some there for him. We will definitely have Hannah as a sitter again. She is great!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
