“Hailey looked in on our 2 cats every day while we were on vacation, and I could tell they were well cared for when we came back. She was very responsive and provided photos every day. When our flight home got cancelled, she even came an extra day which relieved some of the travel stress! Definitely recommend, and I would book her again for cat care. Thanks Hailey!”

“Morgan is so wonderful- if only she could be our sitter in Maryland! Super personable, detail oriented, and treats your pup with interest and care. Our Alaskan malamute has separation anxiety and Morgan learned her quirks quickly and enjoyed our pups special character. Definitely recommend and will look forward to our next trip to NH! Thank you Morgan!”

About: I’m offering drop in visits and dog walking. I grew up around horses and owned dogs throughout my life. I currently have a 5 year old dog who I have had since he was 10 weeks old. I also have two cats. I work full time as a nurse but I have 4 days off a week. My schedule is different every week but I am available on most days off. I love animals and I look forward to helping take care of yours pets! I work three 12 hour shifts a week as a nurse. My schedule is different every week so I will make sure to always edit my availability. I usually have 4 weeks of my full time jobs schedule at a time. I love to play with dogs and if they want cuddles I am always happy for that. I am happy to know what your specific needs are for your pets.
“This was my first time using Cloud after my regular sitter had to relocate. Cloud came highly recommended and it shows. She was patient with my semi-feral baby girl and loving with my big cuddly boy. She went above and beyond to ensure they were fed, cleaned up after and had treats to make it through. Cloud was extremely responsive and timely with her arrivals to see my babies. I’ve already rebooked her for my next few days of travel!”

“Sue is a very responsible pet sitter! She contacted me because one of my kitties was in hiding & she'd been looking for an hour! She is a very caring pet sitter - & with shy kitties, she is wonderful.”

“I have a very shy dog and after trying 2 other sitters he finally warmed up to Sarah! I was surprised how quickly he did take to Sarah, she has away with animals! She even spent some of her own time coming to my house to get rico comfortable wirh her b4 there 1st over nighter which I was very impressed with! I can honestly say i feel very confident leaving rico in Sarah's hands!”

About: I have spent lots of time with a family dog and have been a sitter for several breeds over the years, often through friends and family. I am always over the moon to meet and spoil (to the owners comfort) a new furry freind! I am currently a graduate student which allows me the flexibility to schedule quality walks and play time with your pups! I typically work from home 50% of the work week, so getting out for a walk in between computational work is a win win! As a dog walker I will make sure your pup has a positive high quality walking experience. If I am sitting, I will ensure all fur babies get the level attention and care they need to feel safe and happy.
About: I‘ve been house sitting and taking care of animals since I was 13. For friends, family, and people from the community I live in. I have taken care of all sorts of different animals of all sizes, so I feel like I have quite a bit of experience in this line of work! I don’t currently do boarding in my own house, but am capable of letting dogs/animals out and making sure they are safe and well looked after. I work five days a week, Monday through Friday from 2-530pm, at an after school program so my hours are pretty flexible when it comes to being able to do drop in visits as well as house sitting. My schedule does change during the summer time as I work as a full time summer camp counselor. Typically goes from mid June till mid August. I am able to crate dogs if need be! I also am able to handle large dogs, as I’ve had a Saint Bernard in the past and have taken care of Cane Corso and Great Danes. I love to give cuddles and play time!!
“Jane took great care of our furr-babies. She sent some pictures, were sure they were exercised/played with and cleaned up an “accident”. Your pets are in good hands with Jane!”

About: Animals bring me so much happiness. I lived in a household with dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens and lizards for several years. I loved starting my day with them every morning. They all have their own special personalities. It would be my pleasure to spend time with your pets and make them feel loved and cared for. I will provide exercise and playing, medication administration, provide your pet with fresh food and water or just some cuddle time if needed. If you need additional services I am more than happy to try and accommodate you. Our pets are a part of our families and I will do my best to make sure they feel happy, safe and comfortable in their environment. It's all about the animals for me. I have a pretty flexible schedule and love to stay busy. Nothing makes me happier than filling my days caring for your pets. I am coming into your home and want your animal to be as comfortable as possible. I want to make sure their daily routine stays the same and they feel safe, relaxed and happy with me.
“Moriah was wonderful with Rosie, my 10 year old dog, who is very particular with her human friends, especially strangers. After a successful meet and greet, Moriah came by for a drop in dinner and Rosie was so excited to see her! Moriah happily sent me some video updates during the visit. I look forward to working with her in the future.”

“Andrea was incredible. Good communication, consistent and reliable. I almost got the feeling my cats were disappointed to have us home because they liked Andrea so much! Really though, I couldn’t have asked for a better first Rover experience. Thank you, Andrea!! Jeff and Ernie and I all appreciate you so!”

“Liz is fantastic! she has been incredibly patient with my shy kitty. it’s obvious by her care and attention that she knows and loves animals. she is trustworthy, considerate, and communicative. She is my go to person for drop in visits.”

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs as long as I can remember. And my experience goes out further than just cats and dogs. I’ve helped my parents take care of the animals on their little homestead for 3.5-4 years. I took care of ducks, chickens, pigs, goats, and more. I’m currently not working and I’m free Tuesday-Saturday. I’m available in the mornings/mid afternoon. I can do night hours only on Thursdays, fridays, and Saturdays. The people that i currently live with have a huge yard and 2 friendly dogs, one that has a runner hooked up outside and the other one gets to free roam. When I am in the clients home, I will make sure their fur baby is well taken care off and has everything they need. And potentially clean up when I leave.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
