“Hope C. is so great! She was responsible, and responsive while watching our two cats. Hope was great with our cats, and keeping them nourished! I would absolutely ask Hope C. to watch our cats again!”

About: Hello! My name is Melissa, and I have spent my entire life surrounded by cats and dogs. I provide patient, dedicated, and specialized pet care tailored to your animal's unique personality and needs. I have extensive hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of dogs, including: • High-energy breeds that need structured exercise and mental stimulation. • Bully breeds and small dogs of all temperaments. • Reactive pups who require extra patience, careful handling, and a calm environment. I understand that every pet has a different comfort level, and I prioritize a gentle, positive approach to make them feel safe and happy. If you are looking for a highly capable, reliable, and patient caregiver who truly understands dog behavior, look no further! I can't wait to meet your furry family members. I work full time Monday through Friday. I am off all major holidays to help with pet needs. I live on the East side of Cincinnati near bike paths and trails. I look forward to providing for your pets needs. Safety is my absolute top priority, and I am proud to offer a secure, low-stress environment where your pet can truly thrive. My home features a fully fenced-in yard situated on a beautiful two-acre property, providing the perfect secure setup for play, exploration, and extra-long, peaceful walks on a leash. Because I understand that every pet moves at their own pace—especially high-energy or reactive animals—I practice complete patience and exclusively use positive reinforcement methods to build a solid foundation of genuine trust. You can look forward to seamless, proactive communication throughout your pet's stay, including regular updates and plenty of photos, ensuring you have total peace of mind knowing they are safe, respected, and loved like family.
“Rebecca is AMAZING! This was my first time using Rover so I was a bit nervous but she made everything super easy and made me feel a lot better about leaving my kitties for a whole week. We had a mishap back at home after arriving at our vacation destination and Rebecca was quick to respond and offer to stop over two days early to help. Everything was followed as requested and the cats are very happy. I will most definitely be a repeat customer in the future. I'm so grateful to have found a kind, responsible, and trustworthy person to look after my fur babies. Thank you Rebecca!”

“Alicia did an amazing job watching our 2 cats when we were gone 9 days for the holidays. She made sure our cats had everything they needed and went above and beyond what was required of her. She even showed up Christmas morning at 7am! We will definately be using her again for our next trip and highly reccomend her.”

“Corey was great. She kept us informed about our kitten/cat while we were away over Thanksgiving, and everything was in great shape when we got home. We have a Houdini cat who can scoot out of the door quicker than anything, but she outsmarted him, saving him from coyotes who regularly dine on little cats in our neighborhood.”

“Laura was great with our pets! She took excellent care of them, and we felt comfortable knowing they were in good hands. We would definitely recommend her and would happily book her again!”

“This is the second time I have used Jenna and she is so good with my cats and their needs. Her communication skills are excellent and I didn't have any concerns about her letting me know what was going on. I would definitely recommend her and will probably use her again for any future trips!”

“I cannot recommend Kylie enough! From the very beginning, she was incredibly proactive and communicative, and it was clear that she genuinely cares about the pets she watches. Cleopatra usually takes a little time to warm up to new people, but she gave Kylie the ultimate “belly of trust” upon meeting her, which told me everything I needed to know! My household has gone through a lot of changes this year, so it was especially important to me that Cleopatra had not only her basic needs taken care of, but also the attention, interaction, and affection she needed while I was away. I felt completely confident that she was in great hands. Kylie took the time to thoroughly read through all of my instructions, kept me updated, and was incredibly attentive. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for kitty, a beautifully taken-care-of home, and somehow my house even smelled amazing! Having someone you can genuinely trust with both your pet and your home is invaluable. I’m so grateful for the care Kylie gave Cleopatra and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, dependable, and genuinely caring pet sitter.”

About: I've owned and cared for pets since I was in middle school. I own a lovable and silly orange tabby cat who lives with me and my wife in our apartment. I currently help my parents take care of their 2 labradors; one chocolate and one yellow, while they are at work during the week. I'd like to offer the same service and love to your furry friends. I am generally available every day of the week, except on a Sunday. If needed badly, I can do Sundays, but only 1pm or after. I make it a point to follow instructions very carefully in order that your pet gets everything they need and deserve. (medications, walks, vet visits[if necessary], etc.)

About: I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my parents believed that helping care for pets was an important way to build responsibility, so animals have always been a part of my life, and I’ve truly never gone without having a pet in my home. Over the years, I’ve gained experience helping care for animals of all ages and needs, including temporary foster pets, senior pets, and pets with special needs. I’m comfortable supporting animals who require medications, extra patience, mobility accommodations, and individualized routines. I understand that every pet has their own personality and comfort level, and I strive to make them feel safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. Whether your pet enjoys playtime, walks, quiet companionship, or needs a little extra support, I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I would give my own. I’m an occupational therapist at a nursing home in Cincinnati! My work schedule is flexible for me as I need to be. I don’t work weekends! I live in a house with a fully fenced in backyard with a wooden privacy fence. My dog is crated anytime I’m not home! My cat roams free and mostly naps!

About: Hello! My name is Tabitha and I’ve been caring for animals my entire life. I had two dogs and two cats growing up so I learned early on the importance of caring for pets and the responsibilities that come along with them. Throughout high school and college, I volunteered at animal shelters and absolutely loved it. I’m planning to start volunteering again once I get more free time. I do Wag Walks regularly and have really enjoyed my experience so now I’ve have decided to use Rover more frequently. I like to work out so I will take your dog running or to the park to play. Exercising is very important for dogs so I will make sure your furry friend gets plenty of it! I know how stressful it is to spend time away from your pet, so I will help make your experience as easy as possible by keeping you updated with pictures and summaries of our activities. Additionally, I will ensure all safety rules are followed to give you a peace of mind as you’re away from your pet. I would love the opportunity to care for your furry friend and I look forward to hearing from you soon! :) I work a fully remote job so I have the flexibility to care for your furry friend throughout the week. My weekends are also typically open. I will ensure all safety rules are followed and be aware of your pets whereabouts at all time. It’s very important to me to make sure you have a peace of mind while you’re away. I know how stressful it can be to be away from your furry friend so I will do everything I can to make sure you’re comfortable and your pet is always being taken care of.

Brody really loves animals and it shows. He will go the extra mile to care for your pets. We were gone for 2 weeks and he showed our cat extra love and attention. He took good care of our chickens and made sure they were fed and watered. I would recommend Brody to love and care for your animals.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
