About: Hello Paw-rents! My name is Alyssa Hooten, and I live in a small house in a quiet neighborhood on the north side of Evansville. I have two dogs, one little pup, Poppy, and one big boy, Forrest! They both love to play and cuddle and look forward to meeting new friends! My personal experience working with animals started with my first pet when I was 6! Since then I have only ever fallen more in love with working with pets! I have 2 years of professional work experience as I have worked at and with shelters, rescues, pet daycare facilities, and pet boarding businesses. I have worked as a kennel technician and my responsibilities included feeding, giving medications (via pills, injections, or skin care), cleaning up for the animals (their temporary living spaces and themselves if necessary), and basic training! I am experienced at working with animals of all ages, sizes, and shapes! I am currently working full time and am enrolled full time as a student at an online college. I usually study from home and I work as a preschool teacher every weekday from 6am-4pm. I also keep a strict schedule on getting pets enough time outside to play and to potty throughout the day! I have a large yard that is divided by a smaller fenced in section and a larger open section with two tie-outs that are only used with supervision! My neighborhood is quiet and safe with plenty of fun places to sniff when on walks! I also live close to the 4-H center which offers more space for playing, walks, and training! I have one little dog and one bigger pup! Both of them are super comfortable and friendly with other dogs and cats of any size! I allow my pets on the furniture and free to wander throughout my house as long as I am home! I do have my house sectioned off if you would like to keep your pet separated from mine for any reason :)

About: I grew up with dogs and cats. Been taking care of my own dogs for 2 years now, but have plenty of experience before that. feeding, bathing, potty training, obedience training. I love to go on long walks with dogs, and I love to play with cats! I am a part time server and nanny. I start school in the fall and will have extra time on my hands in between classes and homework. I have two dogs at my home, we go on plenty of walks and we have enrichment time indoors as well as outdoors. I would do the same for your doggo children.

About: I have taken care of dogs, cats, and bunny rabbits. I have extensive care with cats, and rabbits, as I have personally owned them for many years. I am very detail-oriented, punctual, and affectionate towards your animals! I’d love the opportunity to help you out and give you a great Rover experience. I work a full-time job that has very limited hours, so I am available weekdays and weekends. My job is very flexible, so I am very open to scheduling and have a wide variety of availability. I am very gentle and loving towards your pet, and I will do my absolute best to keep them safe, happy, and healthy while you are away!

About: I currently work at a local dog grooming shop and volunteer at the humane society regularly. I graduated with a dog trainer certification from an online program a few months ago. I have been accepted into the Vet Tech program at octc and will begin in the fall. I have experience training and caring for both very large dogs and very hyper puppies. I also have experience safely handling reactive dogs. My personal favorite type of dog to work is the large and rowdy ones who never seem to run out of energy. Aside from the usual services offered on here (walks, drop in visits, etc) I can also help with basic obedience, leash training, and nail trims. I am currently working part time but will be available Friday- Sunday as well as most weekdays after 3pm. I try to keep my schedule on here accurate and updated. I think every dog needs to be handled differently. I always like to hear as much as the owner can tell me about the dog before handling him/her. Ive mentioned my experience handling reactive dogs, meaning if your pet doesn't get along with other dogs or people (pulling on the leash, lunging, barking) I will still be fine with handling the pet as long I am confident in my ability to do so safely.

About: I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember! I worked at PetSmart where I cared for fish, small animals, reptiles, and cats. I now work at a vet clinic where I help care for cats and dogs. I have four cats of my own who are all on medication. I am very comfortable with administering medication. I have pet sat for my friends and family several times in the past. I am also going to school to become a veterinary technician! I’m currently working full time, but I am able to do check in visits before and after work. Also, can during my lunch break if needed. At this time I am unable to offer care for your pets in my home due to having several of my own. But I can’t wait to care for your fur babies in their home!

About: I grew up with a variety of dog breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I have a vested interest in dog training and am currently enrolled in the Karen Pryor Academy to further my education. I have trained my own dog Lorelei into earning her CGC, Novice, and Intermediate Trick Dog Titles. She has anxiety issues, so this gave me valuable knowledge in working with nervous dogs and leash pullers. I work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday full days at a medical office. Tuesday is our half day so I am available after 1pm. I’m available all day on the weekends and Thursdays to walk and/or drop in on fur babies. I believe in positive reinforcement works wonders in building a relationship with any animal. Both of my dogs are trained using praise and rewards. I also always double check equipment used before a walk just to make sure it’s all in working order. I also bring a slip lead in case of emergencies. I also have experience working with gaining the trust of anxious dogs.

About: I've had dogs most of my life and enjoy walking and snuggling them! I know some dogs are trickier than others and have separation anxiety, and handle that well. I work from home so I have time in the mornings, lunchtime and evenings to walk and take care doggos and kitties! I have a dog myself that I walk 2x daily and know the importance of daily exercise. I have a doggo to keep your dog entertained, and lots of land (2.5 acres for them to run around and play), or a nice comfy couch to rest on.

About: I’ve had pets my entire life, currently have 3 dogs and two cats split between both of my houses. I have always had a passion for animals. I would do anything for your pets and take the best care of them!! I currently work part time at target. Right now my hours are down and I’m looking to make some extra money. I usually go to the gym in and the morning with my schedule free the rest of the day! I have fenced in yard at both my houses (mom or dads). I can stop in to your house whenever needed or can board at my house!

About: I’ve had dogs and cats all my life and have wanted houses and animals for family and friends since I was a teenager. I worked as a dog trainer at petco and can bring those skills with me to your pet. I currently have an amazing large dog and a loving cat. I currently do not have a day job. I can be available early in the morning and later in the evening. I am available 7 days a week. I love having the pet close to me if I can. If pet needs to be crated I can easily utilize it. I will make sure your pet is comfortable and all their energy is healthily released.

About: I have been around all kinds of animals most of my life. I currently own a husky and a German Shepherd blue heeler mix. I also have 3 cats. I have volunteered at vet clinics and have went through service dog training for my uncle who has PTSD. I also dog sit for friends and family when needed. I worked at Barkefellers a pet hotel for 2 years and have learned a lot about different dog breeds and behaviors from my time being there. I love taking my dogs out on adventures and making sure they are happy and living their best life. Evey animal deserves love and happiness. I really look forward to meeting all your furry friends. I started training dogs at 13 by training my own 2 dogs and also grew up with 2 cats. I am responsible, caring, compassionate, active, and will spoil your pet if you let me! Currently a college student who is home for summer and needing a job! Taking care of your dogs will be my number one priority and responsibility. I can provide your dog with a spacious fenced backyard and a nice neighborhood to walk. I have two friendly and spoiled miniature golden doodles (25 lbs). I am able to keep the dogs separated if necessary. I am willing to train, bath, brush hair and teeth, and cut nails for a small fee!

About: I’ve taken care of many dogs since I was at the age of 15 years old. I’ve worked in pet care for the last 3 years and I’m currently in school to become a vet. I also have my own puppy currently so I’m great at training all dogs, bathing them, walking them, playing with them, and etc,. I enjoy dogs the most, but also have a special love for cats as well! About: I've cared for dogs since I was a kid. I've had senior dogs and those with extensive medical needs. I understand how important it is to know your furry friend is safe abs comfortable to truly enjoy a get away or have peace of mind during travels. I can offer drop in or walking services any day of the week between 8am and 8pm. For drop ins, I can come 2-3xs and stay 15-20 mins each time. For walks, I can take them for up to 30 mins once a day. Currently, I have 2 pups; Cooper, a 5 year old rescued Mastiff and Abby, a 3 year old rehomed mix breed. If you trust me to watch your pets, I guarantee I will engage them in a safe and fun manner to break up their day, play with them as you desire, administer medication, provide food/ water, and clean up any mess required.
