About: I have been working with dogs and cats since 2018. I began by working at a grooming/doggy daycare center. Here I learned to watch for aggressive behavior, how to deal with aggressiveness, giving oral medicine, bathing, caring for senior dogs, helping dogs socialize, learning puppy behavior and correcting, and so on. I loved working here because my family pet was unfortunately a victim of an aggressive groomer and I wanted to make sure that everyone knew I would not allow anything to happen to their pets if I can help it. I moved to NC where I continued to work with pets part time, mostly doing overnight stays. I have recently moved to PA and would love to continue to do this part time! I am not employed at the moment as I just moved to PA. I am looking for a pt job and looking to start school but at the moment I don’t have many things that keep me busy. Working at the grooming facility has taught me a lot about being cautious of animal behavior whether that’s from across the street or the pet in holding on a leash. During playtime we never had a big fight and have thankfully been able to stop anything from progressing into something dangerous.

About: Life long animal lover I've taken care of many different kinds of pets! I had a frog growing up, fish, cats, dogs, and I've helped pet sit numerous times for a friend for his goats, chickens, turtle, geese, turkeys, ducks, fish, pigs, and dogs (puppies, adult dogs and a senior dog with medications who needed extra tlc). I also work here and there at a local horse farm feeding and cleaning stalls as well as turning 45+ horses out to pasture. I'm used to handling strong pulling animals (I like to think being able to handle an antsy 1200+ lb animal prepares me for most anything haha), and my own strong pulling dog so I'm well versed to handling eager dogs on walks. I've been able to administer medications to senior dogs, my own dog needed 5 different medicines for a few weeks during heartworm treatment and my cat currently is transitioning to a prescription urinary diet so I know a few tricks to getting medicine to them as well as doling out special meals. I'm currently working 3-4 days during the week at my main job as a Dental Assistant, as well as working a few hours every Sunday AM at a yoga studio. I am also a part time college student studying Dental Hygiene as well as on my way to becoming an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. Currently that looks like Monday/Wednesday AM I am in class from 9am-11am, Friday from 12pm-5pm and Saturday from 9am-4pm I am at my other class (which ends the first week of September 2026). I will try to update this as often as needed. I marked Fridays off for now but I can be flexible with scheduling around work and school as much as I can. I typically work Monday/Tuesday/Thursday at my main job but the hours vary as early as 7am to as late as 8pm. Sometimes I will get scheduled Wednesday when needed but it's not often. Any questions on availability or time feel free to message me! If you are flexible with schedules it helps out alot too! I also have my own pets at home which is why I currently don't offer overnights as he has separation anxiety if I'm not home at night. I will follow your every instruction and request for taking care of your pet in your home, I can crate you dog and handle letting them out, making sure they don't get off leash or out of your fenced in yard and make sure your cat doesn't slip out the doorway when I come in. I have some sneaky pets myself sometimes and I feel I've become a master at outsmarting even the sneakiest pet. I'll make sure your pets have plenty of fresh water, the right amount of food, nothing is left out for them to get into or chew up, and cleaned litterboxes! I believe in treating your pet like my own and providing the utmost care and respect for both them and your home.

About: I lived with and took care of two dogs for two years with a partner. Both were Bernedoodles; one was an adult and the other was a 9-weeks old puppy when we first got him. In addition, I have fostered a kitten with my sister for 4 months. Some traits I have that make me suitable for pet care are that I am reliable, punctual, and can follow instructions well. I am an orchestral violinist and Oxford academic, so my schedule is flexible and varies week to week. I am typically available for dog walking in the mornings and afternoons, 7 days a week. I offer dog walking services where I travel to the dog's home and walk the dog in their neighborhood, respecting the dog's autonomy by letting them lead the way and choose the route, within safe boundaries.

About: Family and friends relied on me for pet care for years! I’m always first in mind for sitting during vacations or heading over to let them out for potty :) They know I give them lots of love! I worked at a board and train facility for a while so I have experience with tons of different breeds, behaviors and even learned some training tips! I have open availability to care for your pet whenever is the most necessary and convenient for your family! I have a nannying job in which I create my own schedule, so I can plan around my weeks to fit your needs! Since your pet would be in your home, they would go about their normal day in their most comfortable environment! I could easily stick to their usual schedule and make it generally the same as any other day :) I enjoy being outside and practice slowing down when I spend time with my dog, and would love to do the same for yours! I treat my dogs like family, and the same will ring true for when I take care of your family!

“I have really enjoyed having Shanon coming to walk my big boy. My big boy is a rescue and is not great with new people. At 140 pounds he can be very intimidating to others. We need someone to watch our dogs for a long trip this year which will require work and time to build a relationship. Shanon is very intuitive to my dogs need to build a relationship slowly. She doesn't react to him the way most would and genuinely takes clues from him. Ive been so worried to try and have him build a relationship with someone and I dont think I could have gotten anyone better. She does rush him or force him to be near her and he is very quickly getting comfortable with her which is something I wasnt expecting to happen so soon. I can not rave enough about her natural intuition and willingness to work with us, its been a perfect fit and I know our dogs will be just fine with her for an extended period of time in a few months!”
