“Lana was a great dog sitter for my babies. She went an extra mile to keep them safe from the hot weather and safe at home. When I came I could tell they were happy and well taken care of. :)”

About: Hi! I have taken care of puppy’s since birth! I have two pets of my own so I know a thing or two about dog body language. I trained my Belgian myself. I live in a very safe neighborhood and next to a park. I am currently working at my school so my schedule is pretty free. I am able to take care of your pet after work :) I would make sure your dog is safe and comfortable at all times. They would be getting lots of play and enrichment as necessary .
“Iliana was very patient with me being kind of a helicopter dog mom with my nervous dog Maggie. I had a lot of rules but she was very interested in learning. She was a few minutes late, but my dog doesn't understand time so it was okay. Thanks!”

About: I've taken care of dogs of every kind. I love dogs and they love me. I've been caring for dogs for 20 years. Animals are my passion in life. I have 2 small dogs and 2 cats. I am currently working part time and have plenty of time to care for your precious babies. I love animals. Your babies will be in good company with me. I have a fenced yard and plenty of room for your fur babies to roam around in. I also provide crates if needed for your fur babies.
“Kari was great!. She took amazing care of my dogs and always kept me updated with how they were doing, what adventures they had, etc. She took the time to meet and greet with them twice and they really liked her and enjoyed her company. She also listened to everything I had to tell her about my dogs and their schedule. I was able to go away for a few days feeling confident they were in good hands, and did not have to worry about them while I was away. Thank you!”

About: Every pet I've had in the past was a member of my family and very much loved. I don't have a pet at the present time. I am retired so I have plenty of time to help pet owners with anything they might need. Keeps me busy with a purpose. I provide all types of care and meet and greets are required. I don't do puppies unless it's house sitting. FYI: If you book during a non-federal holiday (i.e. Palm Sunday, Easter, etc.) and also if travel is more than 20 miles from me, my prices might be adjusted upwards to accommodate. I have a fenced front/back yard, a large grass common area and a community dog park/run for pups to run and play in without a leash.

About: With all honesty if you leave you’re furry companion with me they’ll be treat with best care from play dates to being fed on time and having 100% of my time. At the moment I don’t have a job so I’m more than welcome to work around any schedule to make sure your pets are cared for. I have a fenced yard, where my little chihuahuas run around they are very dog friendly so your furry companion will have someone to play with, I can also travel to the home if needed I can spend time with them let them out to do their business, feed them as well.
About: I’ve fostered dogs since I was in fourth grade, sometimes multiple at a time. Varying in size and age, sometimes cats as well as dogs. I am currently a junior at UWL and work an on campus job. I am going to school full time and my job does block off some of my time but I am willing to work my schedule around the fur babies. I live in the dorms so I will not be able to take the dogs into my home but I can easily take care of them in your home and easily crate if necessary. They will be provided with plenty of love and attention.
About: With two years of professional experience at a high-volume boarding facility for dogs and cats—plus hands-on training as a groomer assistant—I know how to give your pets the expert, attentive care they deserve. Whether it’s a full spa day to pamper your pup or attentive daily check-ins, your pet's comfort and happiness are my top priorities. As a proud pet parent to three wonderful dogs of my own, I treat every animal as if they were family. You’ll never have to wonder how they are doing; I provide regular updates and photo check-ins so you can have complete peace of mind while you're away! I’m currently not working, so I have plenty of time to spend with the pups. I’m full of energy and love every moment I spend with them! Taking care of your pet while walking is a full responsibility! I ensure they’re hydrated during their walk and give them a snack during their break. I never leave their waste lying around the ground and always pick it up politely. In case of an emergency with your furry friend, I immediately call you to keep you updated and take your best friend to their assigned vet! I always keep an aid kit by my side 24/7 in case of any emergencies.
About: Always had pets growing up, primarily mid to large sized dogs and random critters. While I can't currently own any of my own, I would love to hang out with and give some attention to yours! Right now my schedule is 8 days on, 6 days off. So essentially, all day every day every other week I can be available for walking and sitting, or just home visits mid day to let pets ourlt for potty breaks etc. I do not currently have the ability to bring any pets to my home, but depending on the set up at the home of the client, monitored backyard runs or leashed walks would probably be the starting point of interacting with new pets.
“John was very helpful when I had a change of plans last minute and needed someone to walk and check in on my dog. I would highly recommend him and will be using his services in the future for sure.”

About: I rarely do last minute bookings (even if you are an established client). I do meet and greets at the park. I will observe your dog and also how you interact with me and your dog. After our meet and greet, I will provide my home address. Starting 2025, I will be taking time off for my birthday, my husband’s birthday, Valentine’s Day (and weekend), the second day of the county fair, the month of November and December (I will be training for a marathon), as well the first week of January. Please check my calendar for availability. Unexpected life events or situations may arise. Thank you for your understanding .🙏🏼😊🥰❤️ I am not a trainer but I will give your dogs all the love and attention as if they were mine ❤️. You can read my reviews to find out what my clients think of my services. Please also look at all the pictures (I have over 300 pictures posted) so you can get an idea of what your dog will experience at my house. If you decide to go with a different sitter, I hope this information helps you. The care of your best furry friend matters. Don’t go with mediocre care just because it cost less. Do a meet and greet, schedule a day (or multiple days) of daycare or a night of boarding to see how your sitter interacts with your dog during the booking. There has only been one Rover sitter that has met my expectations (for boarding). She doesn’t live in Yuma. Whenever I have an emergency, I have to travel 5 hours to take my dogs to her. It is worth the drive. I only accept dogs that have all their shots (including Bordatella, Rabies and Parvo). I let all dogs roam freely around the house. If your dog is not potty trained or urinates out of anxiety, I will provide diapers. All dogs need to be picked up before 8pm (I rarely make exceptions depending on the situation). I wake up early and work hard all day with the fur babies so please respect my time. If you talk to me for long periods of time at drop off or pick up. I have dogs to attend to. Drop off and pick-up is at the door. Please respect my privacy. Please read all details. If you are new to Rover, you save $20 with promocode: LAIZAG47087 The following description is to help those who are new to Rover. Boarding-over night stay at my house Day Care-up to 8 hours Home drop-in visits(does not include a walk)- 30 min to an hour home visit to check on dog(s), administer medication, play with them, give them affection and make sure they have food and clean water. I highly recommend one hour so I can spend enough time with your dog(s) and prevent them from getting anxious. I will not book any adult dog that is expected to hold their pee for more that 8 hours during the day and for more than 12 hours at night. For puppies, no more than 4 hour (of holding their pee) during the day and not more than 7 hours at night. Your dog’s comfort is my priority. Walks -30 minutes to an hour walk (I highly recommend an hour walk if your dog is alone most of the day). This will prevent them from getting anxious. *The total cost of service includes a one time Rover fee (that money goes to Rover). *Rover takes 20% percentage of my pay. *Extended stay fee is automatically added if you drop off and pick up time are not the same (I receive 50% of that fee). This is to compensate sitters for their extra time. *Please do not send me your phone number or ask me for my personal number in an attempt to make a deal outside Rover. Rover can track the conversion. I think is important to have our meet and greet first. My rates won’t change. I will not book anyone who is hostile, aggressive, acts entitled or doesn’t respect my work or time. *once you send me a booking request, I will set up a meet and greet. The meet and greet is to decide if we are a good fit for each other. Meeting is NEVER more than 20 minutes. I respect your time, please respect mine. *if everything goes well at meet and greet, we can both accept booking. Rover will ask you to enter you credit card information to process your payment. The booking becomes official once the payment goes through. Some client find it helpful to bring their dog to day care before actually boarding their dog. This will help your dog become more familiar with me and our home. This also reduces the level of anxiety. It gives me us an opportunity to get to know each other. For large breeds, you must book a day of daycare before actually boarding your dog. It gives me an opportunity to see how your dog interacts with me and other dogs. This is to ensure all dogs are happy and safe. The following breeds must be crate trained (I can provide crate): Pit bull (or any Pit Bull mix), Boxer, German Shepherd, Rottweiler, American Bulldog, Bullmastiff, Siberian Husky, Doberman Pinscher, Chow Chow and Cane Corso. I will only crate them if I need to step out of the house (for a short period of time). These breeds need to be well socialized and exercised in order for me to provide daycare or boarding. I do make exceptions with dogs who have been traumatized in a crate. I will never put your dog in a crate if they go into survival mode. *If you are an established client and you are having issues with the Rover App, I can actually request booking for you (just send me a message in our latest conversation). I can also modify your booking (up to the booking date) in case you need to make changes. *If you are running late for drop off or pick-up (30 minutes to an hour), there will be no extra charge as long as you let me know in advance. I value your time, please value mine. *100% of the money you tip me goes to me. A tip is not a requirement. Thank you 🙏🏼❤️. *I'm usually not on my phone between the hours of 9AM and 9PM. I decided to try Rover as an attempt to be a full-time fur mom. I fell in love with the whole experience. All dogs come with a message of love and compassion. I am very grateful to my clients for their respect, kindness and trust. Dog sitting has allow me to meet some of the most beautiful people in the world. ❤️ I put my heart and soul into taking care of beautiful dogs. This is not a side job or a hobby. This is my full time job and I am proud of it. I know how hard it can be to find the right person to take care of our fur friends. I had struggles of my own. I was not able to find a long term dog sitter for my dogs. Luckily, I am now able to stay home with them. I am the daughter of immigrant parents. I was born in California but raised in San Luis, Mexico. I have a masters degree in Human Relations, a bachelors degree in Exercise Science and minor in Chemistry. I been married for 8 years. My husband is a veteran and he loves dogs. He helps me with the dogs on the weekends. You will see him in some of the pictures. In the past, I have mainly worked with children and teens (P.E Teacher and Academic Success Advisor). I have also had other jobs such as administrative Specialist, Community Specialist, Zumba Instructor, Substitute Teacher, Academic Advisor and Testing Coordinator. During Covid, I developed my own business mentoring children and teens (for emotional support). From all the jobs I have performed, dog sitting has been the most tender to my soul. I learn how to be kind and compassionate to myself and set clear boundaries with humans. 🥰❤️ My dogs will not be part of the meet and greet. I have learned to introduce dogs slowly (as well as toys). There is no rush. Dogs have different temperaments. Some dogs act differently around their owner and some dogs need time to adjust to each other. Your dog's comfort and safety are my priority. I will let you know if they don’t get along. You don’t need to be present. Thank you! I spend my day with the dogs. I even take them on car rides except when the weather doesn't permit it (high temperatures of 115 and above because you can’t even feel the AC in the car). I sometimes have to step out of the house to attend to a doctor's appointment, pick up a dog or walk a dog. It's never more than 2/3 hours. If your dog doesn’t like to be created, that’s totally fine with me as long as they are ok staying at home. I let dogs roam freely around the house but if you have specific instructions, I will make sure to follow your instructions. I don't take in more than 5 dogs at a time. This is to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all dogs. I will provide you with at least one daily update (with pictures/video). You are welcome to request more updates. Please bring dog’s food. This is extremely important because some dogs develop an upset stomach due to sudden food changes. If your dog doesn't like dry food, please bring frozen cook meals for me to warm up.
About: My life has always revolved around our four-legged friends. Since 2008, I’ve helped housebreak, train, care for, and rehome dogs of all kinds. I’ve worked with everything from Chihuahuas and other small breeds to shepherds and large dogs, with especially extensive experience caring for and rehoming pit bulls. I’ve also cared for several dogs recovering after being hit by cars, so I’m comfortable giving a little extra attention to pets during recovery. I also have professional animal-care experience from working at the Humane Society of Yuma, where I worked with dogs with behavioral and medical needs as well as feral and community cats. I’m comfortable with animals that may need a little extra patience, and I can administer medications when needed. In the past, I’ve also volunteered to walk dogs for disabled veterans in my neighborhood, so helping someone care for their pet when they aren’t able to do it themselves is something I genuinely enjoy. I understand that every animal is different. Whether you have an energetic dog that needs a good walk, a little lap dog that just needs some company and a potty break, or a pet with special needs, I’m happy to follow their normal routine and give them the individual attention they deserve. I’m currently available for dog walking and pet-care visits throughout the week, including weekends and holidays. My family lives back home in Kansas, so I’m usually available during holidays when finding dependable pet care can be especially difficult. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members and helping make your day a little easier! I currently have a very flexible schedule and am available throughout the week, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. I can accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening walks or drop-in visits and will do my best to work around your pet’s normal routine. About: Taking care of pets is my favorite kind of happy! Whether it’s tossing a ball, scooping some snacks, or curling up for cuddle time, I’m all in. I’ve looked after playful pups, curious kitties, and even the occasional sassy senior pet — and each one steals a little piece of my heart. I always follow their routines to keep things cozy and familiar, and I never miss a chance to give extra belly rubs or ear scratches. Your pet’s happiness is my top priority — and I make sure they feel like the star of the show while you’re away! 🐾🩷 As a college student and athlete, dogs and cats are so fun to be around. I will always find a way to put animals first into my schedule, as i love animals! I would provide the safest and most comfortable home for the kitties and puppies! As well as going into someone’s home have complete communication with the owners!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Araz Junction. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route , the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poop breaks recorded by the walker.
The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Araz Junction after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.
Have specific details you would like included? Message your dog walker in the app before the walk begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
