“Bethany did a great job taking care of our old gal, Sandy. She sent some pics and videos through the stay and answered quickly when we didn’t get a pic or video for a day or two. Sandy got along well with her dog and the others in her care.”

“Rachel is excellent, very kind and loving: and so flexible with drop off and pick up times. She sends several updates daily. Our fur baby loves her home, her toys, and Dolly, too. So thankful for her.”

“Jenny was amazing with our 6-month-old golden retriever, Winnie! Our puppy has tons of energy, and Jenny handled her with so much patience and care. Winnie had an absolute blast playing with Jenny’s dog, Remy; they were the perfect duo! We got plenty of photo updates and could tell Winnie was having the best time. We felt totally at ease knowing she was in such great hands. Highly recommend Jenny to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving sitter!”

“Emily was awesome to work with to meet our needs as a first timer needing dog sitting and with the meet and greet with Daisy! Daisy’s 5 day stay with Emily was great! We were very satisfied.”

“Lindsay was terrific. Jason immediately felt comfortable in her home, climbing up on the coach and rolling around happily. She did a great job providing food and snuggles and walks.”

“Tyler did wonderful with my Australian shepherd!! He’s very young and can be hyper at times but Tyler made sure he was relaxed the entire time!! His beautiful wife and him took my dog to a water show, hungout with friends, and probably 6/7 walks in about 48 hours! His house was very relaxing and perfect for dogs to relax while you are away!! Tyler is definitely my first choice any vacation I have!”

“Chelsey took great care of Annie and provided great exercise opportunities for her. She also sent updates and pictures while Annie stayed with her. I would recommend Chelsey to others and wouldn’t hesitate to have Annie stay there again!”

About: I have been involved in caretaking pets through Rover, my private pet sitting business, and through local pet shelters over the course of three years. I have also pet sat for friends and relatives. I am very passionate about the well-being of all animals and have even received training at pet shelters in order to provide optimal care. I have a part time job but can easily provide pet sitting services. My job requires me to work 8 hour shifts two to three times per week. If my work schedule ever interferes with a scheduled visit, I offer additional visits that day free of charge. I love incorporating pet caretaking into my day to day life. It is a big priority for me. I want to care for the pets based on their individual needs. I am here to help you keep them moving and healthy while you are traveling or busy with other important things. I’m very flexible and willing to help however best fits your unique situation.
“Susan was absolutely amazing from start to finish! I never used Rovee before so I was really cautious and overall pretty scared but Susan assured me she'd take great care of Char while I was traveling. I received pictures and videos daily of char as well as text updates. In the videos alone I could tell my dog was not only happy but he felt safe and loved. I would highly recommend Susan!”

“Madison and her family were great with Thor. Will gladly book again in the future. She was worried about his non eating- as he does when I'm not around. I received great photo updates on him. She seemed to understand Thor and his personality. Thank you again:-)”

“Rachel was great about giving me updates, sending pictures, and video. Overall communication was excellent. Our dog looked like he was at ease and enjoying his time with Rachel and her family. We will definitely book with Rachel and her family in the future.”

“Adriana definitely eased our minds while we were away on vacation! Not only did Adriana care for our family 😻 pet we all love very much, but she also “looked after” the outdoor neighborhood “pets” that sometimes eat & stay in the makeshift “house” built to help them stay as warm as possible during these winter months!! She also went above & beyond doing some light housework inside & outside!”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
