About: I used to work as a certified dog trainer and managed a daycare / boarding facility for 2 years. I was an employee there for longer. 12 hour days every day with dogs of all types. I know how to administer medications, including insulin. I also know how to handle myself in emergency situations, I've learned dog first aid and I've broken up fights in my time that would've been deadly if I wasn't there. I am currently a general contractor making my schedule very open, my wife loves helping with pets of all kinds as well which allows for more care opportunities. The only thing that wouldn't likely work would be multiple days of house sitting IF I am not able to leave for 3-4 hours at a time. I have a hard time spending an extended amount of time not being able to see my infant son! I'll do whatever someone wants for their pet, assuming it's reasonable. I'm okay on multiple large walks, extended play time outside, anything like that is 100% okay. From dogs- cows- fish we would love to help provide dependable care and always ensure your pets are treated with the upmost respect and attention they deserve!

About: My fiancée, Anthony, and I are the Rover duo here! Together, we have a combined 20+ years of experience working with dogs. Anthony primarily does the house sitting and we both work together for boarding in our home. We currently have 2 dogs of our own who are both rescues. Arthur is our 8 year old playful, loving lab mix and Taz is our 2 year old sassy pit mix puppy! We love caring for pets and are excited to spread the love to more doggy friends! You can count on us to be reliable, respectful, engaged, and loving to your pets. We will ensure that they get exercise and the love they need while under our care. We will make sure the environment is safe for all pets and make sure your pet has access to food and water at all times. I work from home full time and Anthony has a flexible work schedule. We will make sure your pet has the necessary potty breaks they need and will not be left in a kennel all day long. Anthony and I work from home, which makes pet care fit very easily into our daily and weekly routine. We have 2 dogs of our own and we never leave them home alone longer than 4 hours. We have a fenced-in yard. The yard is safe and a great size to give your pet ample space to run around and exercise. We also have outdoor cameras to monitor if we are not outside with them.

About: I live on a farm and I have had/have all different types of dogs and all other farm animals growing up. I am very particular in the care of my pets that would take your needs of your pets very seriously. I’m a stay at home animal mom already. I have a flexible schedule that I can work with you to get the best schedule for your pets needs. Stopping by mornings, afternoons, evenings! * I only do drop in visits and walks* I am able to give the clients pet the love and care it needs while they are away. About: I have experience with all kinds of dogs! My own 2 dogs come from very different places. Belle (3 yo, mixed breed) is a medium-sized rescue dog from the island of St. Croix and Atari (4 yo, Cavachon mixed breed) was born on a farm and has been spoiled since birth! :) I also volunteer with Ruff Start USVI, the rescue service that rescued my dog Belle! I spend time with the rescue puppies, taking care of them, playing with them, etc. My family also often foster dogs from Ruff Start, Belle was a foster dog before we decided to adopt her! I am currently searching for a summer part time job so I have lots of time to take care of your pets this summer! I will be in the Ankeny area until August 10th when I move back to Ames for college! About: Hi!!! My name is Kadyn and I’ve always had a genuine love for animals!! I feel the happiest when I’m caring for them:) I worked for two years at a local doggy daycare in waukee Iowa, where I gained lots of hands on experience supervising, playing with, taking care of, and ensuring safety of dogs of all sizes, ages and personalities. I have also been a dog sitter and walker for the past five years, building trusted relationships with both pets and their owners while providing dependable care, including administering medications and following detailed instructions to make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved!!! I am a sophmore in college at the University of Iowa! So my schedule is pretty flexible during the week days between classes and I’m open most weekends! I care for them as if they were my own and I do my very best to make them feel comfortable and loved whether they are in my home or the clients!

About: I've pet/house sat for multiple people in the past. Animals include dogs, cats, fish, and reptiles. I like to have a meet and greet before ever staying with your pets alone. If you have any special diets or quirks make sure we discuss them in advance! I don't mind staying for a few hours to watch your animals or just drop in, whatever is needed! I have a nighttime job so, your animals will need to be able to be alone at night a few days of the week! I will discuss meal plan, how often you walk them/let them outside, and if they have meds with you prior to caring for your animals.

About: I have been the main caretaker of any animal I’ve ever had, some because I was the one who begged for it. And others because I just love animals so much that their care is only half the fun. I have experience with animals in all stages of life, from puppies to seniors. My puppy experience ranges from being the one who nursing a parvo puppy back to excellent health, she is now 3 years old and thriving. I also have a senior dog, who is such a joy but I think he forgets he has arthritis with all of his puppy antics. I also have a lot experience with teaching many tricks so don’t be surprised if your animal learns something new every time they see me! I work from home and have only two courses a day, so I have a lot of time on my hands to do a good pet care routine. My babies (my cats and hermit crabs) are on a routine or rather I am. We do feedings in the morning and have an hour of down time for everyone to “stretch” their legs before I go to class. I’m away for 3 hours before I’m back and during that time I can walk a dog if one is staying. And then I work from home so pretty much I’m at the animals beck and call whenever they need anything. I am in an apartment which lessens the risk of anything happening to your pet on my watch! Also with living in an apartment by campus we can always go for walks and meet some college students wanting some animal love!

About: I’ve been an animal lover my whole life. I got my first cat when I was 16 and now have two beautiful cats. Taking care of my cats has taught me a lot about patience, responsibility, and genuine love. I have also learned a lot about animal behavior from observing my cats and spending the past six years with them. Even though I have cats at home, I’ve also always loved dogs and enjoy spending time with them. I would love the opportunity to care for your pet and make them feel comfortable and loved. I am a nursing student at DMACC and have Friday, Saturday, and Sunday available to care for pets! I am available to work anytime between 10AM and 11PM. I make sure I always know where my pets are throughout the day. If they aren’t in their usual spots, I check on them to make sure they’re safe and comfortable. Before leaving the house, I make sure they have fresh water, a clean environment, and that their scheduled meals are served. I also pay attention to their behavior because it tells me a lot about how they are doing.

About: I had two Labs growing up and I now have a puppy of my own! I learn to balance night shift while taking care of her! She is the best thing to ever happen to me! I pet sit for my coworker and my grandparents! I am on light duty at work but I usually work night shift but I have a very flexible schedule! I am also in school part time online! I Live on an acreage so I have a lot of room for your pups to play! We have a lot of other animals on the farm so I try to keep the pups away from them for safety!

If your dogs needs any special care I will be happy to help. I will respect your stuff and your rules while caring for your dog. I also love cats to so if your cat needs care while you're away, I will give your cat food and water and clean the kitty litter. About: Growing up I have had both cats and dogs as well as spending a few years working on a horse farm, so I have a life time experience taken care of animals. About: I have been dog sitting for my friends and family for years. I work from home 2 days a week and have a large fenced in backyard. I have a 3 bedroom house located a few block from a bike/walking trail. I would like a dog of my own but my schedule doesn’t allow for that so cuddling and spending time with your dog would be perfect. Your dog will have access to my furniture while I am home. I can maintain a set schedule and provide your dog with love and care while you are away. I currently work full time from my home. Your pet would be in a kennel very minimal and have lots of attention. Would just be in a kennel if I need to run errands. I have a large fenced in backyard that your pet will love to run free in. The fence was replaced summer of 2021 after the derecho. I work a hybrid schedule 3 days in an office 2 days at home. My boyfriend is home every Friday, he does not work Fridays. I have a large privacy fenced in yard for your dog to play in. I can kennel or crate your dog at your preference. I have a lock on the inside of my front door incase a dog jumps and opens the door.

About: I'm a substitute teacher and a respite care provider looking to supplement my income. I'm comfortable with dogs and cats and animals generally like me. Right now my schedule is open because school isn't in session and my respite client is otherwise engaged. Like I said, I thought I could supplement my income AND play with furbabies. What could be better? I will treat your pets like they're my own and I will care for your home leaving it as clean, if not cleaner, than I found it.
