About: I used to work as a certified dog trainer and managed a daycare / boarding facility for 2 years. I was an employee there for longer. 12 hour days every day with dogs of all types. I know how to administer medications, including insulin. I also know how to handle myself in emergency situations, I've learned dog first aid and I've broken up fights in my time that would've been deadly if I wasn't there. I am currently a general contractor making my schedule very open, my wife loves helping with pets of all kinds as well which allows for more care opportunities. The only thing that wouldn't likely work would be multiple days of house sitting IF I am not able to leave for 3-4 hours at a time. I have a hard time spending an extended amount of time not being able to see my infant son! I'll do whatever someone wants for their pet, assuming it's reasonable. I'm okay on multiple large walks, extended play time outside, anything like that is 100% okay. From dogs- cows- fish we would love to help provide dependable care and always ensure your pets are treated with the upmost respect and attention they deserve!

About: I have been with dogs since day 1. I, personally, have always had Labradors. I currently sit my parents’ 4 labs, as well as help take care of my grandparents babygirl as well. Your pets safety, health, and happiness are my top priorities! As someone who’s pup is her best friend in the entire world, I will treat every pet as my own; meaning with all of the love and care in the world! I am currently a full time veterinary technician student with Penn Foster, so this is my full time job! I am more than happy to add in more hours of availability if it becomes requested. Taking care of pets is my passion! Each pet deserves to be treated with 110% love, kindness, and respect, as do clients and their homes. It is important to me that pets know how loved and cared for they are, even by their sitter/walker! About: I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time to spend with your fur babies! I am available anytime after 10am every day! My apartment complex is very pet friendly! I also live near downtown so the fur babies and I can go on long or short beautiful walks!

About: I have been the main caretaker of any animal I’ve ever had, some because I was the one who begged for it. And others because I just love animals so much that their care is only half the fun. I have experience with animals in all stages of life, from puppies to seniors. My puppy experience ranges from being the one who nursing a parvo puppy back to excellent health, she is now 3 years old and thriving. I also have a senior dog, who is such a joy but I think he forgets he has arthritis with all of his puppy antics. I also have a lot experience with teaching many tricks so don’t be surprised if your animal learns something new every time they see me! I work from home and have only two courses a day, so I have a lot of time on my hands to do a good pet care routine. My babies (my cats and hermit crabs) are on a routine or rather I am. We do feedings in the morning and have an hour of down time for everyone to “stretch” their legs before I go to class. I’m away for 3 hours before I’m back and during that time I can walk a dog if one is staying. And then I work from home so pretty much I’m at the animals beck and call whenever they need anything. I am in an apartment which lessens the risk of anything happening to your pet on my watch! Also with living in an apartment by campus we can always go for walks and meet some college students wanting some animal love!

About: I've pet/house sat for multiple people in the past. Animals include dogs, cats, fish, and reptiles. I like to have a meet and greet before ever staying with your pets alone. If you have any special diets or quirks make sure we discuss them in advance! I don't mind staying for a few hours to watch your animals or just drop in, whatever is needed! I have a nighttime job so, your animals will need to be able to be alone at night a few days of the week! I will discuss meal plan, how often you walk them/let them outside, and if they have meds with you prior to caring for your animals.

About: I have taken care of my two dogs for most of my life. Not only that but I have been taking care of neighbors and family friends animals since I was 14 years old. I love spending time with animals even if they're not my own. I don't have professional experience but its not my first time doing this sort of job I've found that creating a pet care schedule is essential for keeping your furry friend happy and healthy so currently I am not working any jobs now, so I have plenty of time to spend with anyone animal. Creating a safe and trustworthy environment for animals is of utmost importance so unfortunately, I do not have a fenced-in yard at the time but I have a great walking route for my dogs, and we love to spend lots of time outside.

About: I have experience with all kinds of dogs! My own 2 dogs come from very different places. Belle (3 yo, mixed breed) is a medium-sized rescue dog from the island of St. Croix and Atari (4 yo, Cavachon mixed breed) was born on a farm and has been spoiled since birth! :) I also volunteer with Ruff Start USVI, the rescue service that rescued my dog Belle! I spend time with the rescue puppies, taking care of them, playing with them, etc. My family also often foster dogs from Ruff Start, Belle was a foster dog before we decided to adopt her! I am currently searching for a summer part time job so I have lots of time to take care of your pets this summer! I will be in the Ankeny area until August 10th when I move back to Ames for college! I will be able to provide services in Ames once I return! ☺️ I will update with my college schedule once it gets closer to move-in. I am completely flexible to whatever your dog may need! About: I grew up surrounded by animals and spent most of high school and college as the go-to pet sitter for my friends, family, and neighbors. I’ve cared for all kinds of pets and animals so nothing phases me! Now that I have a bit more flexibility in my schedule, I’m excited to get back to it. About: I am a veterinary student at ISU with experience pet sitting, caring for shelter animals, and clinical care. I am comfortable caring for pets with special diets and administration of oral medicine. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs, and I have flexibility in caring for pets of varying activity levels. I can't wait to meet your fur baby! I have school on weekdays, but I'm available for walks during the lunch hours from 11am - 1pm. I'm also available after 5pm Monday - Friday and have full availability on weekends. Your pet's comfort is my number one concern so I have no problem coming to you or taking your pet to their favorite park. I'm comfortable walking larger dogs that pull the leash and explore or older dogs with limited mobility. My dog has a vestibular issue, so I'm experienced lifting pets to help them up and down stairs and getting into cars. I'm also experienced giving oral medication, clipping/shaving nails, and bathing.

About: I’ve been an animal lover my whole life. I got my first cat when I was 16 and now have two beautiful cats. Taking care of my cats has taught me a lot about patience, responsibility, and genuine love. I have also learned a lot about animal behavior from observing my cats and spending the past six years with them. Even though I have cats at home, I’ve also always loved dogs and enjoy spending time with them. I would love the opportunity to care for your pet and make them feel comfortable and loved. I am a nursing student at DMACC and have Friday, Saturday, and Sunday available to care for pets! I am available to work anytime between 10AM and 11PM. I make sure I always know where my pets are throughout the day. If they aren’t in their usual spots, I check on them to make sure they’re safe and comfortable. Before leaving the house, I make sure they have fresh water, a clean environment, and that their scheduled meals are served. I also pay attention to their behavior because it tells me a lot about how they are doing.

About: From keeping care of my family pets in the absence of my parents at a young age to spending late nights as a sitter for neighbors’ dogs, I have taken careful care of dogs in all shapes and sizes since I was twelve. About: I have been dog sitting for my friends and family for years. I work from home 2 days a week and have a large fenced in backyard. I have a 3 bedroom house located a few block from a bike/walking trail. I would like a dog of my own but my schedule doesn’t allow for that so cuddling and spending time with your dog would be perfect. Your dog will have access to my furniture while I am home. I can maintain a set schedule and provide your dog with love and care while you are away. Your pet would be in a kennel very minimal and have lots of attention. Would just be in a kennel if I need to run errands. I have a large fenced in backyard that your pet will love to run free in. The fence was replaced summer of 2021 after the derecho. I work a hybrid schedule 3 days in an office 2 days at home. My boyfriend is home every Friday, he does not work Fridays. I have a large privacy fenced in yard for your dog to play in. I can kennel or crate your dog at your preference. I have a lock on the inside of my front door incase a dog jumps and opens the door.

About: I love any dog that crosses my path I have experience with lots of small dogs but also some very large dogs and am able to handle them both. I have experience with older dogs who may need more help with certain things but also the most energetic younger dogs who need to be played with and walked many times a day I am still a student athlete in college so I have classes and practices throughout the week but your pet will never be left alone for longer than about 2 hours at a time which will be a very rare occurrence, my classes end in April so ill have a lot more free time soon as well Making sure they are fed in a timely manner, I love playing with dogs so as long as they have energy ill be there to play with them, making sure they get walks and potty breaks often, and taking care of any special needs they might have that ive been made aware of.
