“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! Our pup was so well cared for and loved while we were away. We had complete peace of mind with the amazing commutation Heather had with us. I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!”

“Cheyenne provided wonderful care for my dog Reno. She welcomed him inter her home and cared for him as if her were a regular part of her family. I strongly recommend her for anyone needed care for their beloved pet.”

“Sally was very friendly and ChampE had no qualms with her or her dogs. He seemed very content in each picture sent. Although the doggy den has quite the dog smell, it seemed to help ChampE feel at ease and curious to learn every square inch. He barely noticed when I left. He was not over anxious to leave either. All in all I would say it was a very successful first stay. Sally is delightful.”

“Jenna was so wonderful with Noodles. She was very prompt with communications and sent plenty of pictures and updates while I was away. I would absolutely recommend Jenna, when you need someone to watch over your fur baby.”

“I reached out to Megan as a last minute booking for our two pups. She was able to take them and was even flexible when car trouble made us very late. She sent photos and updates of them while she had them which helped me feel better. Bella and Strawberry, both under 25 lbs, made themselves at home with 100+lb doggies. Bella is still young and had lots of fun playing with the big doggies. She’s also escaped from our house a couple times. Megan’s yard is very secure. I highly recommend Megan to take care of your pups!!!”

“Halo had so much fun at ‘Camp Ashley’s’. She was very excited to tell us all about the farm and how much Ashley and her family showed her so much love. If you are in Northern Michigan and want your furry friend to have a wonderful experience of life on the farm we highly recommend Ashley!”

“Best Experience Ever! Mrs.Beth and her husband was amazing! They took care of my Bentley with so much love and care! I definitely would recommend Mrs.Beth for anyone. We will definitely be back!”

“Peter did an amazing job! He sent pictures and took my pup on multiple walks! He was super flexible on pickup and drop off times too! We will be using him again for sure!”

“Morgan did a great job taking care of Balto. She sent frequent pictures and treated him as if he was part of the family, even letting him share(hog) the bed ? definitely recommend and will use her again!”

About: My love for dogs started at a young age then at the age of 10 we got out first family dog, Rufus, after that I was really hooked. Then I got my own dog Dixie when I turned 19 then I got Summit. If you ask anyone they are some of the most spoiled dogs you will find and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am currently a stay at home mom so I will have plenty of time to care for your pup(s). They will get walks everyday and playtime outside I have a decent sized fenced in yard that your pup will get to play in, and weather depending a daily walk. They will also have their own space to go into when they need to relax and sleep.

I work from home and I am able to care for your pet throughout the day. Drops-in or in home boarding welcome! I am available 7 days a week! I have 2 beagles that will make your dog feel right at home! We live on a wooded lot in a secluded area. Daily walks provided!
“Colleen EXCEEDED our expectations. We were traveling about 3 hours from the detroit area up to traverse city and we booked Colleen to care for our year old Yorkie teddy. We had never met her before but I just knew from looking at her photo that she was a sweet, kind and trusting person. I was absolutely correct. From the second she welcomed us into her house we were so comfortable and we laughed. Even my 1 year old was smiling and laughing with her. She really is incredible. I don't worry about Teddy for one second. She sent updates every day. She was excellent. If I go to traverse city again I will ONLY book Colleen.”

About: Hi, I’m Trish! 🐾 I’m a lifelong animal lover and have an elderly dog and two cats of my own. My home is calm, comfortable, and pet-friendly, with a big fenced-in yard where your furry friend can safely play and get some fresh air. I don’t have young children, so pets can enjoy a peaceful environment with plenty of attention and one-on-one care. I also prefer not to crate animals unless it’s absolutely necessary, because I want them to feel comfortable, relaxed, and at home while they’re in my care. I’ll treat your pets like they’re part of the family and make sure they get lots of love, attention, playtime, and care. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I’m happy to follow your instructions to help them feel as comfortable as possible. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets and give you peace of mind while you’re away! ❤️🐶🐱 I am currently working 2 days a week for now, therefore I have plenty of time to be with ur fur baby and give it all the attention, love and care it deserves I’m a true animal lover and a proud pet parent myself! 🐾❤️ I know firsthand how much our pets mean to us, which is why I treat every pet in my care like one of my own. Whether your pet stays in my home or I care for them in the comfort of their own home, I want them to feel safe, comfortable, happy, and loved. I enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality and learning their routines, favorite toys, treats, and all the little things that make them feel at home. In my home, your pet will receive plenty of love, attention, playtime, walks, cuddles, fresh food and water, and regular potty breaks. When I care for pets in their own home, I do my best to keep their normal routine consistent while giving them lots of companionship and attention. As a pet parent myself, I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your furry family members. I’ll keep you updated with messages and adorable photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Your pets aren’t just a job to me—they’re family, and I’ll make sure they feel loved and cared for every step of the way! 🐶🐱💕

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Angling home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Angling.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Angling sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
