“Heather and her family were AWESOME! I needed a sitter and messaged 14 people on rover in two days as I needed one for the weekend short notice. Got no one. We live in MA and were visiting family up in NH. So we had to just bring our dog even though it was a stressful busy weekend with a lot of people. I decided to request a stay with Heather once we arrived in NH--and she literally messaged back THREE minutes later. THREE minutes. It was such a relief for me. We headed out and dropped him off 20min later! She sent pictures and I felt assured that he was in good hands during his boarding. We will be using her again next time we visit family!”

“I have never been able to travel without my husky mix because of his high anxiety, until we met Greta! We received tons of pictures of him, napping, cuddling with the family, and going out on three amazing walks a day. It’s a beautiful quiet location and Greta is a true dog person. I’m planning all my trips around her in the future.”

“Enzo can be a shy guy and a little nervous but Lauren did everything to make him feel comfortable including checking in with me, which I truly appreciate. He came home happy and tired and we would use Lauren again!”

“Joseph and Corbin are fantastic with Rowan and to work with. Rowan loves going there so much that he doesn’t even bother to say goodbye when we drop him off!”

“Susan and John are wonderful and I’m so glad I found them on Rover. My dogs, Ginger and Ollie, love them. They have games for the dogs to play with and they have a fenced in backyard. They are also wonderful at sending pictures which helped me to know they were safe and having a good time. Susan and John have a warm loving home and I would highly recommend them.”

“Grace was amazing! She was able to accommodate our dog's personality quirks and we were able to rest easy while Basil stayed with her. She was kind and attentive and gave updates on how our pup was doing. Thanks to Grace we were able to fully relax and enjoy the family wedding we were in town for! I only wish we lived closer so she could be our regular pet sitter!”

“Michele was the perfect host for our goldendoodle while we were in the area for graduation weekend. Based on the photos she sent me, he appeared to enjoy looking at the wildlife out her windows, going for walks with her dog and stretching out on her sofa. Michele was very flexible about drop off and pickup times as well. A great experience for everyone!”

“Faustine took good care of our dog and we enjoyed the photo updates she was sending us! We also appreciated how quickly she responded to our messages and addressed any questions we had. We will definitely use her services again!”

“Nataliya was great about sending lots of pictures each day. Our dog had lots of outside playtime and looked so happy in the videos - even pictures of him snuggling on the couch. He was in good hands. ?”

“Diana was great! She was very accomadating with pick up and drop off times. She keeps you updated with how you're pet is doing and sends daily progress reports/pictures. I would use Diana without hesitation. Thank you Diana.”

“Benjamin and Laura did such a wonderful job taking care our 4-year-old dog over a holiday weekend. They were professional, responsible, kind, and flexible. They were also very responsive, quickly responding to our questions/comments and sending frequent text updates and pictures, which really put us at ease while we were out of town. Our dog had a fantastic time with and got along well with their two dogs. We highly recommend Benjamin and Laura to anyone looking for a dogsitter in the area, and we would absolutely use them again the next time we're in need of a dogsitter. Thank you for everything!”

“Abby sent great photos and made Lucas part of her family. It’s his first over night experience when he returned to me happy and calm (and tired) instead of stressed. I recommend her totally”

“Cara was an excellent dogsitter. She communicated well, sent great photos, and made sure my older dog Cosmo was comfortable. He loved being able to sit on the couch and the bed :) We would definitely have Cosmo return to Cara's again in the future.”

“Steve, Keely, and their dog Sabra were warm and welcoming to Nyla. They were responsive each time we reached out, sent plenty of updates, and were diligent in following the care instructions we provided. We were very comforted that our dog was so well cared for by them and would recommend them to anyone in need of a sitter.”

“Goldie had a great stay at Ashley's home! Ashley was very communicative and sent us lots of photos of Goldie. I didn't feel like I needed to worry about Goldie while she was there. I highly recommend Ashley and would definitely use her again!!”

“I would highly recommend Kimberlie. Kimberlie went above and beyond to ensure that our kitten Boo was well taken care of. I would recommend Kimberlie to anyone looking to have their pet taken care of.”

“Great people and am amazing, spacious, SAFE place for my dog. Excellent communication. I was happy to share my dog with these exemplary, canine-loving people. Amazing experience.”

“Hannah saved my wedding day!! Our scheduled dog sitter (not from Rover) cancelled on us two days before our out-of-state wedding, and Hannah not only filled in last minute, she might be our pups favorite person💖 She is incredibly warm, they took to her immediately, and we were so grateful 🙏 Got lots of photos of them just relaxing around her and were able to enjoy our wedding day stress free. Thanks so much, Hannah!!”

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Andover home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Andover.

Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
