I’ve never used rover before and Jenna was our first time. She housesat for us and watched our dog. We had zero problems and Jenna stayed in contact with us throughout while we were gone. It gave me anxiety at first, but Jenna is so sweet and she’s so nice! We’ll definitely be using her again, and will recommend her to other people. Bern was sad to see her go!

About: My family has owned numerous of dogs in our large family. From my Uncle's Dobermann trio to my mother small Pomsky (Pomeranian and Husky mix) I've taken care of them all. The dogs in our family are tired of me before I've run out of steam to play or walk. I own five cats at the moment though one of them acts like a caine. My cats are friendly and mind their business when I overnight board my mother's Pomsky or my sister's Old lab mix girl for a few days. Cleaning after animals do not bother me. I daily change 6 cat litter boxes. When I'm left clear instructions the job is done efficiently every time. I work from home full time and I'm awake before the sun come up. I'm ready to get the job done early and my job is flexible about my breaks. I can visit your pets anytime designated as I have my own vehicle. I have a open yard that's not fenced in though only one neighbor with a dog behind a fence. I'm working to fence my yard in the future as I like the idea to give sitted dogs that open space. For now know your dog will become part of my workouts and I love to walk about 3-5 miles daily. At my home your dog will be welcome to chill with us though during the night will board in the spare room in or out of any provided crates.

About: I ran a pet nutritional building for two years, I also was in charge of feline foster care, as well as walking dogs in our neighborhood in Pennsylvania. I have a soft spot for animals of all kinds. Daytime hours are preferred, willing to do nights for comeback clients. I’m located in lancaster so depends on how far the drive. Whatever is most convenient for your needs. I do not normally do in-home pet care, I will sit during the day, but I will not do overnights in house unless special request. I will do walks, and drop in visits make sure your baby gets lots of energy burnt out.

About: Hi! I’m your pet’s new favorite human 🐾 I treat every fur baby like they’re my own—lots of love, attention, playtime, and snuggles (if they’re into that!). I’m super patient, reliable, and great at picking up on each pet’s unique personality and needs. I also have a background in childcare, working in multiple child care settings and holding a CDA (Child Development Associate), so I’m naturally nurturing, attentive, and big on routines and safety. Whether it’s a shy cat or an energetic pup, I make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits easily into my routine! I only work about 3 days a week from 9–5, so I have plenty of flexibility and time to give pets the attention they deserve. I provide personalized care based on each pet’s routine and needs. In my home, pets enjoy a safe, clean space with a fenced yard for playtime, plus lots of love and attention. I also have a friendly 3-year-old Shih Tzu who loves other animals and makes a great companion. In a client’s home, I stick closely to your pet’s normal routine

About: I love animals. I enjoying spending time with dogs. I like to see them happy and enjoying life. I use to pick up stray animals and take them home so that they could start having the life that they deserve. I do work Monday thru Friday 8 to 5. I work from 8 to 5 and then I come home and do nothing. I would rather be helping someone that could use a dog sitter. I make sure that they are happy, enjoy a nice walk, play with toys if they enjoy them. Currently where I am living I can not have any animals in my home.

Pete did an excellent job with our fur babies while we were away! Even our bashful cat Petunia succumbed to his charms. Pete sent us photos multiple times while we were gone. It was reassuring to see our fur-kids doing well. The house was well maintained upon our return. We will be reaching out again to book with Pete.

About: We go by Bark Haven Ballers ! 🏀" "Hi there! I absolutely love animals and care for a variety of them on my personal farm right here at home. Because my own farm requires regular attention, I am not able to offer overnight house-sitting, even though my profile may suggest it.Instead, I proudly offer dedicated 1-hour drop-in visits twice a day. These hour-long visits are perfect for ensuring your pets get plenty of playtime, feedings, and potty breaks. If your pet needs extra attention or you require more time, just let me know! We can easily add extra time or visits to your booking for a small adjusted fee to fit your pet's exact routine." ⭐ Transparency is important to me! You might notice a few recent cancellations on my profilethese were due to an unexpected, one-time emergency that temporarily impacted my schedule. I am back to my regular routine and fully ready to provide safe, reliable care for your fur babies. I have spent years perfecting my pet sitting skills, and I’m now offering that experience to you as a solo, mobile provider. Whether you need a consistent walker, a drop-in visit, or a trusted sitter, I bring the care directly to you.Having transitioned from a partner-based service, I now bring a more personalized, one-on-one approach to pet care. I am fully committed to delivering a safe, engaging, and loving experience for your pet For added safety and reliability, I operate as a two-person team. Having a partner involved in the care process provides an extra layer of security and ensures that your pet’s schedule, from feedings to medication,is always managed with a 'second set of eyes' for total accuracy and peace of mind."

RUN, don’t walk - to hire Tayler for all of your pet’s needs. I’ve had my fair share of lackluster dog sitters (even from this app, unfortunately) and Tayler goes above and beyond on every front. It started with the meet and greet - I have two anxious beagle girls who get a bit stressed with new people in the house. The moment she walked in, they were at ease, barely made a fuss and were asking for belly rubs within a few minutes (lol I swear pets can sense great energy.) Tayler stayed at our place for a few days while we were away and kept us very updated with walks, happy photos and with any questions she had about our place. She’s kind, nurturing and is exactly the person I needed to find for me to feel *amazing* about leaving them with someone. I just know her calendar is going to fill up quickly - so don’t hesitate to book her ASAP 👏

Alyssa did an outstanding job staying in our home with our 2 full of energy pups! She truly went above and beyond taking care of everything. Not only did she shower our girls with extra love and attention, our house was cleaner than when we left!! We’ve already booked her for 2 more times this year! Thank you Alyssa and we look forward to seeing you again in October! ??

About: I have experience with puppies, senior pets, and everything in between. I'm skilled in basic training, administering medications, and creating a calm, loving environment. I treat every pet like family and focus on making them feel safe, happy, and cared for. Pet care is my top priority right now, as I’m currently not working and have a very flexible schedule. This allows me to give pets my full attention and be available for walks, drop-ins, or extended stays whenever needed. In my client’s home, I follow your pet’s usual routine to keep them comfortable—this includes feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care like medication or training. I make sure their environment stays clean, safe, and stress-free. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a calm, pet-friendly space with lots of attention, affection, and supervision throughout the day.

About: I have roughly 26 years of experience as a veterinary technician and pet-care provider. I love all species of animals and am dedicated to treating them as if they were my own. Due to my experience as a veterinary technician, I am skilled in administering medications, injections, and performing a variety of other medical treatments. I also do nail trims, ear cleanings, anal gland expressions, and baths. In addition, I also care for birds, rodents, reptiles, and other exotics. If you have any questions, feel free to inquire! My suggested prices are not set in stone. This is a detail I generally prefer to work out with each individual client, because everyone has their own unique situation.

We have always been skeptical about leaving our pups with anyone. We would actually fly our son in to watch the dogs if we went away. Rylie has changed our feelings about this. From the moment my husband/me and our pups met Rylie we felt at ease and knew that Rylie would take very good care of them. Rylie is kind, very dependable, flexible and loving. I would feel comfortable going away again knowing that she would take very good care of our pups.

About: I have over 15 years experience caring for dogs, including senior pets, those with diabetes, visually impaired , and high-energy breeds. Medium to Large Dogs. I am fairly new to Rover and ready to get started. Let me have fun with your pet buddies I am currently enjoying my retired life (LEO retiree). Therefore, I am home most of the time. I will keep your dog week days, weekends, and holidays. Currently work 8-20 hrs a week(1-3 days) to have something to do but I am 5 mins from home. Home for hr lunch on days working. Never leave dog home alone for more than 4 hrs if working. Also, have family member home during most days. I have a huge fenced in yard and visit the local dog park often. I have a four year old high energy playful dog and one patience laid back dog (7 yrs old). Boarding, daycare, drop ins, and walks. If your dog “shy” and not happy with high energy dogs, he/she can hangout with Laid Back “Layla”. If he/she wants high energy fun, he can hangout with Acer. All dogs are friendly and love other dogs. There may be additional dogs on the property. I will not sit more than four pets because I want to ensure I will be able to give each pet one on one attention. It may be at times that I will not have other dogs on the property. Please express your preference beforehand. I will not accept dogs with a bite history. If you have a dog that struggle to get along with others, please advise. I may be able to accommodate him/her.

FAQs for House Sitting - Andalusia

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 463 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Andalusia. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Andalusia walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Andalusia maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Andalusia choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Andalusia. On Rover:

  • 98% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
